Leigh Ann- I totally hear you. I wanted to just use the photographer that comes with my package (@ Dreams Cancun) then after we decided we're not having an AHR- i figured i would spend some extra and do a TTD. I contacted Moments that Matter (a lot of girls here recommend them and siad their prices were great). They just got back to me and the wedding package is like $2000 for a full day 1000 pics or $1300 for 5 hours 500 pics (all on disk) plus $400 for TTD. I guess that's reasonable (i don't know), but it still doesn't mean i can afford it I guess now i have another decision to make. Sometimes this whole wedding stuff is frustrating!! good luck with the planning! ~Kristen

I had actually booked a hall already, then realized that it would be cheaper (and easier) to have it at one of these nice fancy wedding places. I got all excited about it (looking at the menu and pictures and everything) But then we decided we just don't have the money. I guess that's what i get for getting married 6 months after i got engaged! I was really sad at first, but i'm better now. I think instead we'll have a giant pool party at the house with all of our friends and family.

I tipped my guy like $20 for each time- i guess only if you're happy with the work though.

Claudia is an excellent event coordinator and does this day in and day out. She works late hours and hardly takes any time off. She is always out and about the property making sure the events in flight are prepped. So no matter who you had as a WC, you will be well taken care of. You will also have a couple of meetings once you are on site. (Kiki - I only had 3 days before the wedding which was more than plenty of time). They have weddings almost every day and will make sure your day is as you want it and special. Relax, focus on those things you can control- your dress, travel, OOT, wedding party stuff, etc. Looking back I know I spent *TOO* much time worrying about things that I didn't need to Paula- you're fabulous- thank you! I am trying to keep that attitude and not even worry about it. No stress! i'll worry about more important things like My FI's outfit and our rings!!

Help, Can't find a dress
kiki317 replied to Sammygurlj's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Well I don't know what your style is, but with big boobies- you might be more comfortable in a halter top- (it's also really flattering) that's what i got I'm short with a bigger chest and it looks fabulous. I got my dress at David's Bridal and i abolutley love it! I was hesitant about going there but i'm happy. Good luck with the hunt! Don't worry- you'll find "the one"!! -
How much are alterations??
kiki317 replied to Davematthews16's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
My dress was $500 from David's and the alterations were about $230. I did need a good amount of alterations though- Hem, bustle, taken in on the sides and i needed cups added and the halter top shortened. but i thought that was a fair price to change almost all the seams on the dress- LOL- too bad short and nothing ever fits right! I did have my last fitting last night and it's perfect! -
LOL- Kristy- you'd better get a move on!! I gort all my stuff out of the way first- now i need to get my FI's clothes and ring for the big day! He's been insisting that he's going to lose some weight and wants to wait to get them, but that's it already- i need to cross it off my list!!!

kiki317 replied to LAURENANDBILL's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
My sister danced with my brother at her wedding (i forget which song she picked) but he loves to dance so i'm sure we'll have a dance as well. Now- what song to pick? Jeez now there's one more thing for me to have to decide!!! -

Yeah i got the 99 cent ones- and they are the perfect size! you can put all your stuff in there plus towels if you wanted too. They are really thin (not too durable) but i'm sure they will last (at least for the week we're all away!) I just Ironed-on a design this weekend and they came out awesome!!!

What are you walking down the Aisle to?
kiki317 replied to reevesbride's topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment
I'm walking down the aisle to a song from "Lost" I think is's called Life and Death it's so pretty and my FI loves it-it reminds his of his mom who passed away. for the recessional i am still on the fence- either the hawaiian version of "somewhere over the rainbow" OR Simpson's theme- LOL I still have some time to think about it
