We did the throwies ourselves, the day before the wedding (they stay lit for like two weeks so it was fine). One suggestion - use those tiny binder clips for each one, we ran out and had to use just tape for some and they weren't as bright and flickered. Just an FYI!!

Was it a private bar for your wedding? Was there limited drinks? Or did you just use the resort bar? Maybe I'm totally crazy, but I don't understand how the bar works. I know that our reception comes with some "cocktails" and some dinner wine... but what about other drinks? My fiance is a former hockey player and 1/2 our guests are hockey boys, and they'll want to have a bar available. Am I going crazy? We've booked the Seaside Grill for our reception... not sure where the cocktails will be. Thanks for anyone who can help me! Hey girl-- we did our cocktail hour at 5:00pm on the beach right off of the Dolphin pool (where our reception was being held). They had champagne readily available, there were several waiters taking drink orders (they were great!), AND the bar is right there if people don't want to wait for the waiter (it wasn't private technically but no one else was around). During the reception, the waiters are great about getting drinks, although we had lots of people walk to the bar to take shots, etc. That's why I thought the Dolphin pool area worked out the best of all the locations I had seen- it was accessible to bar, bathrooms, etc. I hope this helps you out!

And I'm not sure if they mean $150 per item I want done, or for all the extras together. Let me know if you get a solid answer, I will as well! I had 30 lanterns (with LED throwies), chair bows, centerpieces, place markers, etc. and it cost us $150 for all of it to be set up (for ceremony and reception). Hope this helps =)

Congrats to you both It was literally minutes down the road from Dreams Tulum, but once you got to the entrance off the highway it was a good long drive down a dirt road to get to the cenote. The only other people there were cave divers, so it was pretty remote- but one of a kind!

Hey ladies!!! I just wanted to let you know I'm back from my November 28th wedding at DT.... and it was everything I wanted it to be!! I loved every second of it, and it's sad/wet/cold to be home! I am working on my planning and review, so don't worry - it's going to be pretty extensive though =) Which I know you like to hear!! Anabel was our WC and she was the sweetest, most hard-working person I have ever met... as is the rest of the DT staff. I wanted to let you know I posted some TTD/After Session teasers from my photog (she blogged them in the Cancun airport, that's how awesome she is). I am so lucky to have had her (Critsey Rowe in case any of you are wondering). So until next time, ENJOY! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...9/#post1089860

We've been blogged =)!! And I'm a Mrs.! While I still am in the process of a planning thread and review, I couldn't wait to post these teaser pics. We were at Dos Ojos Cenote and our wedding was at Dreams Tulum. Our photogs were Critsey Rowe and Thomas Geist- they are the absolute best and probably one of the best decisions I made!!! Thank you everyone on this forum who made my wedding so wonderful =) Love & Hugs, Mrs. Scott! This site has helped me so much, I owe it to you guys! Do you happen to know the answer to my relax/adult pool question from earlier? Thanks!

Just wondering if it's an option or not. Thanks We are having DJ Doremixx http://doremixx.com/ and he does a light-up dance floor for $450 (it's really cool- look at pics on the web site). He isn't over the top expensive either - in fact not much more than renting the speakers, etc. from the resort. Hope this helps!
