Thanks for finding those sites for me ladies- this is such a good idea!!
-
Andrea - are you getting little onesies with each month on them for growth pics? Where do you find them? That is such a good idea! I've seen people use block and signs and things but I love the clothing idea!

Congrats Margie!!! You are a trooper!

So my question is, how long did it take to receive your photos and video from the resort? Also has anyone done a large picture frame with a collage of photos from their wedding, if so can you post pictures? I may try and have people sign the border of the framed collage as a guest book. Curious what you all think, Amy Hey Amy! We actually got our video before we left - we got married on Saturday and we got to pick it up on Tuesday night (the night before we left)... so we didn't have to worry about shipping and all that.

So I'm beginning to think about clothes (as my pants feel a little tight right now!) - and I was wondering what some of your favs were? Did anyone have a really cute, trendy pair of jeans? I love the leggings look too. I saw this today- LOVE the Isabella Oliver maternity clothes (although expensive! This dress is $179, not too too bad, but I don't want to spend huge money on a maternity wardrobe!)

Most of our guests didn't even bring purses to the ceremony and reception! All of ours mailed gifts/cards before the wedding, so we didn't even think about people bringing them down to Mexico. My grandmother wanted to give us something on our wedding day, but she did that while I was getting ready in my room. I wouldn't worry about it, I don't think that many people would travel to Mexico with those kinds of things

Wow I've missed a lot lately! Kayte- congrats! When is your EDD now, does it change with twins? I think we're only like a week apart Mrs. Martin- Yay!! 2 under 2! You'll have to let us know how it goes, we're leaning toward the same idea... just getting it done before the first one is out of diapers! Yael & Stacey- Good luck ladies! Lots of TTC wishes your way... keep us updated!!

A couple of weeks after they sent us a letter in the mail detailing what the ultrasound found, most of it I couldn't understand anyways, but there were some pretty cool stats like the heart rate etc that were in the letter. We're putting the letter and the pics in baby's keepsake box - I think it's pretty neat to look at, and I think she'll find it to be pretty cool to see what her stats were when she was only a little 11 week old fetus! Courtney- Did you have a 3D US done (in your siggy)? Was that expensive? There are some places here that do it, but I haven't really looked at it... when did you do it? Thanks!

That being said, I do have all the information saved in a document (all the brides who've posted their dates and other info) and I do hope to find a couple hours really soon to update the bride list and review links. But were your candle holders a lot higher than the flame? I think most brides have said as long as your flame is well protected within the holder (i.e. the flame is a few inches from the top of the candle holder) the wind won't affect it. I thought that a few inches would be enough for the candle to stay lit, but they still didn't - here's a pic-----

Hey ladies!! Thanks for all your encouragement... it turns out everything looks fine! We had our US done and saw a heartbeat and everything =) Now all of my worrying seems silly! We got to tell my parents yesterday, although my mom said she already guessed b/c I didn't offer and wine and wasn't drinking any while I was making dinner - duh! So I finally got to talk to her, and she said she never got sick during pregnancy either... so that made me feel better too... it's not so weird I'm not nauseated or vomiting! Sloan- so exciting everything is going well for you! I was thinking about you on Wednesday. I don't think we'll do the optional birth defect screening b/c even if they found something we wouldn't do anything differently. Keep us updated!

The underwater pictures are only done by certain photogs b/c they have to have all the underwater casings and equipment.

So I was having my first appt and US on March 8th- but after blood tests on Monday they moved it to today! So I am both excited and scared... my hCG was 51,000 and my Prog was 44,000 - which they said is kind of high. The RN said that could mean a few things - my dating is wrong, a molar or ectopic pregnancy, or multiples. So I understand they are just trying to give me options- but when my husband and I looked up numbers I am totally within normal range for 7 weeks! Why would you even say the words ectopic or molar pregnancy to a first time mother?!?! My husband is an ER physician and said that numbers would be in the hundred thousands for molar pregnancy and prog would be low in an ectopic. I am kind of upset with them b/c all I've done is worry and cry the past two days - and I know that's not good for me or the baby! Sorry, I just needed to vent a little bit Sloan I know your appt is today too- can't wait to hear how it went! Happy thoughts your way =)

Just an FYI - I wouldn't count on candles for any kind of light... we had pillar candles inside hurricane glasses and those wouldn't even stay lit (they put dessert plate on top of them, so they were lit but didn't help the "look"... haha). It's just so windy that they just don't stay lit. Exposed candles like tealights would have no chance!

When are you guys sharing the big news with people? We keep saying later on, but it may not happen! DH will be the one to let it out before I do. hahah Well I have a serial hCG and progesterone set up for this week, so I'm kind of waiting until then... but my parents are visiting next weekend, and if all this bloodwork turns out okay, there's NO WAY I'll be able to not tell them! I have already of course told my sister and BF, but I figure if someone went wrong I would want them to know that too. My DH is an ER doc and he errs on the side of caution (plus his parents are in CO) - so he is thinking end of 1st Trimester for his side and any other friends, coworkers, etc. I just want to tell everyone =)

We're planning to wait a little longer maybe 8-10 weeks till we start telling people. He almost let the cat out of the bag at work yesterday. Our parents don't even know yet! I see my family MD on Wednesday for labs and whatever else happens at the first appt. Woo! PS. Kat - your daughter is gorgeous and I love her name! Congrats!! I know exactly how you feel-- you're about a week or so behind me!! We are waiting to tell people (except for my sister and my best friend - I am a bad secret keeper), so it's crazy! Is everything going pretty normally for you at this point? I don't really have much going on but my boobs are getting bigger (and hurting!)... it's nice to have someone in the same boat =)

DT doesn't have the issue of using tiny plastic cups like some of the other resorts... they use larger cups so that you don't have to keep running back to the bar. They were a good souvenir of the wedding, but not used at the resort... hope this helps!

Thanks all of you for your responses about the nausea/sickness! It makes me feel better to know it's probably normal I'm not sick yet! I have set up a serial hCG and progesterone blood test, just because I don't think I can wait until March 8th for my first appointment!! Kat your little girl is TOOOO cute!!

I guess with the 30+ inches of snow we got here last week it was a good thing I didn't have to try to rush to the hospital : ) So I am just sitting at home, on leave from work already and waiting. I scheduled a C for a week after my due date just in case. So, if Shayne decides not to arrive on his own, then he will be welcomed into the world via C on 2/22. Good news is I am almost finished the nursery with all the time on my hands. Hope everyone else is doing well. I'll be sure to check in. Congrats Margie, that's so exciting! Are you going to post some pics of your nursery?? I know we'd all LOVE to see them =)

All I did was put a description and pictures of everything I wanted on my "Planning Form" (they will send it to you to complete about a month before your wedding - asking what you want for flowers, cake, etc.). My best advice is a very detailed planning form (along with pictures) and print it out before you go. I didn't pay extra for the flowers or anything like that. Good luck planning!

I'm just trying to help everyone as much as I've been helped! Good luck with the Bridge Run! We have a lot of friends coming in to town for it too - we'll be in Italy this year so we won't be able to enjoy it... but I think Italy's a pretty good alternative haha

I thought I wanted the dolphin pool, uhhh so I guess now I'll have the relax pool, HAHAHA. Is there enough light at the relaxed pool for a night reception?!? hmm... seems not so much. I guess I'll have to buy candles or something! Haha that's so funny because that is the same exact email except mine was to offer me the Dolphin Pool... they must use all the same wording! If you still want the Dolphin pool I would still pursue it - honestly they probably gave it to someone else and they're trying to make the relax pool sound better to you. When we were there, I had originally wanted the relax pool but after I saw some receptions it was way too dark, far away from any bathroom or bar, etc. But it's all personal preference!

I think it's whatever you want to do, they work hard regardless of if you tip... but the time and sweat put into each wedding they do (sometimes with 3 a day!) is amazing, and I don't know when they even get to see their families or even eat!

I've also seen them at the Dollar Tree. Hope you find them - they're .99 each and already have the bandaids, alcohol wipes, etc. in them!
