We are going to send out STD's and invites to both our bridal party and even ppl we know are definitely not coming (for personal or monetary reasons). I feel like your bridal party is actually the ppl who care about getting them, they are probably some of the closest ppl to you... we just don't want ppl to be left out! So we are doing DIY STD's and invites to save money... yikes!

I think we'll probably use our December date as our own little personal anniversary and then just use our November date as our family/friend date. I guess I just thought it would be weird... but they are both important to me -

We didn't use any special padding...the envelopes were actually really thin-they were the "free" ones from Vistaprint. You can actually see through them in the pics. I did my best to fill the hole in the back of the sand dollar with hot glue as I was glueing it on, so I'm not sure if that helped. Also, most of our families and friends live closeby...mostly within CT. Maybe the fact that they didn't go very far helped too. I did send one to England...but I forgot to ask her if it made it ok. We really wanted to use starfish, but thought they were more fragile. When I got the sand dollars we were throwing them onto our tiled kitchen floor just to see if they would break, and they didn't (except for one maybe, and we threw a LOT). The only way they broke is if we squeezed them...we tested it...haha! My FI was trying to prove me wrong because he said there was no way they would make it through the mail...it was so nice to be able to say TOLD YA SO! Let me know if you have any more questions... Hey Rach! I just wanted to see if you could send me that S palm tree logo again, sorry to bug you:) Also, do you have your magnet STD template? I can't find one anywhere on BDW and yours is awesome. Sorry for being so needy- thanks in advance! Oh my email again is [email protected] Thanks girl!

Does anyone happen to have their STD magnet template available?? I will most likely do Vistaprint, and I don't really like their pre-made ones. I did a search on the forum and can't find any! I just need some ideas and/or templates to help this along... I need to get them out ASAP... ah! Thanks in advance!

I only had to make 15 or so, which didn't take up a whole lot of time. Amy-- how did the starfish fare? Did you end up bubble envelope mailing? Where did you find them? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

Emily - They were hard for me to find too but that's because they're not in the aisle at Michael's with the rest of the wedding invites and wedding stuff. Martha Stewart is so special that she has her own aisle So that's where they are. I bought these same ones the other day-- they are awesome!! Esp. with a 40% off coupon!

So we don't have to worry about what day That is awesome it worked out that way! I guess we're kinda in a similar boat - at least our legal anniversary and marriage date are a little bit close (Dec/Nov)... how weird it will be to be married a year already at our wedding ceremonies! -

I'm glad you posted this! The only time they had available for my wedding was at 12:00... blah... so we are wondering what do to! Do we do everything right after (ummm can't imagine doing our first dance in broad daylight), or wait and do dinner and reception later... or NONE! Can't wait for the advice!

I have a wedding Memorial Day AND Labor Day weekend this year and I've yet to complain. Maybe I will start! WOW I can't believe even you are hearing about it! I guess it's true, you can't make everyone happy. And it's very true, ppl choose times around holidays often. Maybe I should switch min to Christmas and see how they like it... haha -
Hey girls! I live in Charleston, SC (I am not having my wedding here though) - but I wanted to let you know you can PM me or write me on here if you have any questions... and I will do my best! I have several friends getting married here this year - it's one of the most popular places to get married in the US I hear! So let me know! Jo

Everyone is just now getting over that we want a wedding in Mexico - now I throw a holiday wedding on them! Oh well! Do you have a bunch of ppl confirmed already? I'm just in the beginning stages (I just got my confirmation the other day)... I feel so behind! -
It sounds like a lot of girls (myself included) are getting legally married before they go on their DW - so I ask - what date is your anniversary date?? Your legal date or your wedding ceremony date? I feel like our "legal" marriage and the date on our marriage certificate doesn't feel like my "real" wedding day. It was kinda just a formality. But I don't know, because legally, my wedding date is December 21,2008. What are your opinions on this? What are you going to do?

I am officially a November 09 bride! I just received my confirmation from Dreams Tulum for November 28th. That's about it for my planning... wow, scary. Almost everyone knows, but I am thinking about sending an email STD and then sending out a real one when I can get to it. I have a TON to do! -
Lulu- 2 quick questions! 1. How did you get the glass centerpieces down there? Did you bring the candles too or get them there? 2. Is the flower in your hair fake or from the florist there? Did you order it specifically ahead of time? Thanks hun!

Hey Rach- I have a few more ?'s for you. 1. Did you design the Palm tree with the S initial? If you did could you email it to me [email protected] or PM me with it? That is our initial as well and I love it your pic! 2. Did anyone tell you the sand dollars broke? Did you use a special envelope or padding? I want to use starfish but I'm worried they'll break. Thanks hun!
