Okay--- so I work in organ donation-- and I just noticed today on our CDC Malaria Travel Risk worksheet is Quintana Roo (Tulum) and includes all resort areas!!! I am very surprised by this b/c that is one of the reasons we avoided the DR. Was anyone else aware of this? And for past brides- did anyone use quinine or any other malarial prophylaxis?

Gina- You may want to consider somewhere like Tulum - it is kind of "off the beaten path" in terms of it's about an hour or so away from Cancun's airport, and therefore kind of discourages highschool/college kids. If you want all the clubbing and night life though, stay near Cancun! Just a thought!
