  1. Welcome to the forum from another Jamaica Bride
  2. Ok, I am so glad Vitolio is safe but I have come to muting Mary's comments... you can tell what she is saying and don't need to hear her.
  3. Hooray its finally your day! I hope all has gone amazing!
  4. Did you print on them with an inkjet printer? Did you have any problems with it smearing if you did? They are great!
  5. Thriller, and Billy Jean, but Beat it was a great one because my mom and I used to dance to it.

  7. You can clearly see the emotion, the love, that the fun that was had by all.... what AMAZING photos of an amazing day to remember! Congrats!
  8. Wecome, there are some very helpful threads and stickies that can help you navigate. Enjoy, it is an invaluable place with amazing people.
  9. Oh my gosh, that is crazy, I hope you are just seeing the humor in this not as a set back. Have FI call his mom and ask if she is still game for the Lindy Swing Mother Son dance right? j/k. Sorry to hear... hope everyone is ok
  10. Congrats and I hope you are having nothing but dreams and wonderful experiences. Can't wait to hear how it went. We are so lucky to have detailed planning threads like this! I would love a copy of your template for your info book you made for the bags if you have one.
  11. Wow... that is really cool... what a great idea... especially since there is no hauling it down there! Wahoo!
  12. I wore a corset style long bodice bra for my first wedding (10 years ago and traditional). I loved it and still have it (although I am not the same size as I was, so I am not sure why I still own it). But, there are a few things to consider... 1. Make sure it has a cup style strapless bra at the top not just that band thing... keep you in check... if you know what I mean 2. If your dress is not the typical heavy satin and you have gone with a flowy style, try it with the dress... may show through because of lacing. Never seen one sewn in... that would be cool... I wonder how you would lace it.
  13. While I know you love the idea and commitment of marriage, the fact that he cares and loves you and your children is a huge commitment in itself. Make sure marriage is THAT important to you before taking actions.
  14. My invites boarding passes are from her too... she does beautiful work... love the fading blue in the background like the ocean!

Isn't is satisfying when you have something so beautiful that you did yourself? We are finally getting people booked for October... 4 months baby Wahoo!

I just went online to look for the suit because it sounds perfect and can't find it... do you have a link or am I just blind (always a possibility)
  18. Hooray for another BRB bride. I will be there in October and we and our guests who have already booked are soooo excited about the intimate resort with everything we would love to have (especially my golf loving family). Email Keisha.. she does respond. She can answer your questions. As for a confirmation the the room and the wedding time, get your TA to book your room and call to confirm your wedding time. Then you should get an email from Super Clubs with confirmation. PM me if you need Keisha's email address. Welcome to the BRB group!
  19. As another October Jamaica bride getting married the weekend after you are, I think it will all be fine. A few things to consider: Although I sent STD's in January, people are just deciding now whether they are going or not and making plans. KEEP IT SIMPLE - If you are having an elaborate AHR when you return, then keep it simple in Jamaica so you can relax and enjoy. You, the important people, and the beach! Of all the amazing ideas that people come up with here, decide what are essential to you and what would "be nice to have". Take care of the essential and hold on the "nice to have" to see if there is time Join us in October.... happy to have you Congrats
  20. Oh Maria, that is such a sweet and simple idea that will be way less cumbersome in travel!!!!! I love the idea of waiting to do the sand ceremony since Mom's can't come to Jamaica. You could even bring some sand from the trip and let them pour that part in when you do it at AHR. We bought a sand frame and are not having an AHR because of budget constraints, so we just hope it packs well. I have read alot of info on making it stay. Hope it works. There will be wax and paper and Plastic wrap involved... oh my!
  21. consider the fact that many places will offer their BM dresses in White and Ivory. Inexpensive option with a wide range of styles. Good option at Alfred Angelo and DB
