MRSEDDY- Hello! Thanks for suggesting booking the outside vendor as a guest. Also, I noticed you did boarding passes..Do you have a template? My Fiance is a graphic designer at" night" and will be designing our STDs. AND FOR ALL- Ok I am 2 days away from signing my contract and one of my good friends emailed me with a concern- Is Mexico safe? I started thinking about it and began to get really upset. For one- It took my fiance and a few months to decide on a location, and then like 3 months to make our final decision. Once we reached our decision I was so happy. I called my travel agent and she said not to worry.. and right now I am not as worried, but I also don't want my guests not to come because of this mess... =(

Hello!! So I have seen many threads on boarding passes as the save the dates. My fi is going to create (he does graphic designing) our Save The Dates, but we haven't had any luck finding a good template. Does anyone have, or know where to find a good template. We tried to download one of the templates from a posting, but the three passes are coming out attached to one another. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions as well! Thanks so much! JodiMichelle!

Dana- Thank you for answering my question...Is that the only way around having an outside vendor. I am only asking -just in case. I am sure MP's band is good enough...My FI has to read the contract and then we will be signing it and sending it to them! EXCITED. Already preparing our STD cards!! We are thinking about doing those Airline tickets as the STD. My FI is creative in soo many ways and he is designing as we speak!

Hi Ladies!! My Fi and i just received our wedding contract! I am so excited. We are a step closer. BUT on the contract it says no outside vendors allowed? I thought we were able to hire outside vendors? I am interested in hiring a small mirachi band and prob. more lighting (outdoor wedding -someone suggested that). Jodimichelle

Where is your reception being held? What package are you going with? how many guests are you having? Your day is approaching... hope your planning is coming along!

They are on a 1st come 1st serve basis - therefore if you know you want them, email your WC and put in your request. The Mariachi Band was $592US per hour - after the ceremony (we also reserved them for the ceremony, but this was part of our Deluxe Wedding Package-that I pre-reserved months in advance) They performed during our Cocktail Reception at the Chapel Garden - worth every penny. They were very entertaining - allowed us photo ops with them etc. We then had a private dinner on Terrace Venado - we used the self IPOD DJ system - easy to use and they had a staff member onsite to assist us the entire time. We also reserved the extra lighting. Lighting - have your WC fwd you the lists for DJ - Self-DJ & Lighting - worth it - the lighting makes a huge difference - looks great in pictures too. MP is amazing - We are already booked to go back next year for our Anniversary. Happy to help . . . Wishing you all the best Laura Hello! I wish I could start planning alreadddddy! I am like 95% sure I am going with Moon Palace, but most recently my fiance's godfather has a connection with another hotel and we are trying to decide. We haven't received any information on what the other resort can do for us.. So I am just frustrated. I know we have PLENTY of time (July 2010), but it feels like everything is going so fast!! Thanks again!!

If you are planning on keeping your festivities shorter, then go with the mariachi band the entire time, but if not I would suggest using the self-serve IPOD option. We did this for our private dinner on the terrace and it was spectacular (I would also suggest splurging for the lighting) Best of Luck Laura Hi Laura Marachi band..is that an outside vendor? If you dont mind me asking- How much did they charge? I am considering having them during the cocktail and ceremony.. Thanks for the info. Lighting is a major thing. My Fiance is in the entertainment industry-Lighting and Music are key! jodi

Hello Ladies!! It has been awhile since I have been on this site and I am not sure if I had read it somewhere on this thread, but I was wondering if anyone has had a band for their wedding or is planning on having a band for their wedding? Can anyone recommend a Mexican band? Just yesterday I went to a bridal show...and the event was mostly for those who are planning their wedding back in the states... flowers, Limo, Djs and bands....I went there mostly to get ideas. Anyway..I was watching one band, and they were amazing. Of course they performed with their entire band (10 person band) but they did a great job. So now I am "thinking" of having a small band. Please let me know! Jodi

PDCBRIDE- First what is your name?!? Second, Thanks so much for the information you provided me. I am beginning to think this place is unreasonable. If it is an all inclusive place, why must we pay extra for our guests to drink? and for the Menu? It doesn't seem right. Not only woudl we be having a wedding there, but 97% of our guests would be staying there.. so what is this craziness with their prices. It is making it a lot easier to choose which resort.... 30 min video? seriously? AND an additonaly fee for cocktail..... I am just gettin annoyed..I really hope that when it comes down to booking something could be arranged.. Discounts or something....

Ok so just TRIED contacting the sales department which is a toll free number based in Texas..and to my surprise.. the communication was off.. I honestly couldn't understand her nor could she understand me. She told me to send her an email and the email was sent back to me because it wasn't the right one. ALL I WANTED WAS A BROCHURE AND or VIDEO SENT TO ME..OR AT LEAST some information about their resort and now I am just frustrated~

Hi Girls....thanks for the information. It is a lot to think about considering the fact it is "extra" to have it outdoors...Someone else told me (Kaitlyn) that it is considered a private event. Ahh.. I am going to call them now. How's planning going for you guys? PDCbride 09- Your wedding is coming very soon!! How exciting....and Jodj your follows right behind.. !! Thanks again!! Jodi

Hello..I am new to this particular forum... I was on the Moon Palace forum because my fiance decided to go with the Palace resorts until a family friend had recommended this resort! So now we need to make a decision... We plan on getting married July 2010... it is awhile away but the year mark is coming quickly... Sbertling- Congrats I am happy to hear everything went well for your wedding! I tried contacting the resort by email and I have not received a response back yet.. I am hoping to call them tom.. I just want them to send me information on their resort. Do they send information? Did anyone receive a video? I would like to have my ceremony on the beach and have my reception outdoors as well.. does anyone know if that is possible... Okay well I will be flopping back in forth between forums.. byebye
