My fiance and I stayed there once.. Beautiful place. I know we did a booze cruise which was one of the excursions...but I want to rent our own with just our guests. I hope we find some answers from others!

Hello. I was just wondering if in anyone has rented a boat/catamaran- booze, dinner, daytime cruise while their stay in Mexico. My fiance and I thought it would be nice to rent a "party" cruise just for us and our guests before or after our wedding. Any suggestions?! Thanks so much!! JodiMichelle!

I have heard that too. A wedding Coordinator will not be assigned to you until 4 months before. At firs tI thought that was crazy, but I realized that in order to plan a wedding you need to have a good idea of how many guests will be attending. And since we are all getting married away that part is very important. Most guests will not be booking until 4-6 months away...So I guess that is why we won't be assigned a WC until then. I feel like I should be doing something.. I am a good 8 -9 months away from my Wedding....What are you doing now?!?!

Hello Welcome all the new brides to be! I have been booked since March and have been patiently waiting for more 2010 brides to be! My date is July 3.. So far I am booked with the complimentary package... I am planning to get married on the beach... Through my TA and Moon Palace I need 72 hours booked within my guests. I thought that would be easy, but I am a little nervous. Some guests have decided to book on their own -Ya that they are coming, but boo doesn't count I heard one bride to be say her family and friends are complaining that they are getting married in Mexico. Do not worry.. I heard the complaints over and over again, and I still hear it. I have cried over it, but if this is what you and your fiance decided to do and ou guys are both happy then F them. It is your day...be happy.. and try not to get too upset over it ! My fiance and I (b4 we were engaged) always discussed doing a destination wedding. So our families and friends were pre pre warned and as soon as we got engaged (1 year ago) we let everyone know our plans and figured they have plenty of time to save, and plenty of time to paln (1 and a half years). You cannot please everyone! Happy planning! I have my dress coming in in Jan. Our bridesmaids and groomsmen are chosen...colors are ebing worked on now.. Other than that I haven't done anything yet besides mailing out our save the dates....Soon we will work on our invitations and hopefully by Jan they will be sent out! Happy Planning to all.. Hello I am getting married July 3rd. I noticed some of the May brides to be already have their WC? I thought they assigned them to you three or four months before! Well good luck. I read that someone is choosing between collections....When I first saw them, I got so confused. I am still a little unsure, but I believe the collection you pick -the colors that will be used in your wedding, and the package. Ugh.. I just typed an entire entry only for my comp to go nuts and sign me off! Anyway.. I have been on and off this site and I hope now I can be more "on" This month will mark a year into my engagement! Took us a while to pick the destination, and a few months to pick the location-MOON! We worked on our save the dates in April and by June we sent them out. By the way the came out awesome! If anyone would like to see them I will try to email them to you! We designed them ourselves (it does help when your FI does design work on the side!). We started a web site. In June we advised our friends and families to book their air because it was at its cheapest. No one listened and now they are bitching! During the Summer I went searching for my dress. After shopping around, I found my dress! Now the waiting game begins. My dress will not be in until JANUARY! Our TA worked out a deal with MOON (others have done the same) instead of (#) rooms booked to receive the free this and that, we need 72 days in total booked. Now, we asked our guests on our web site if they are planning to attend, YES,NO and MAYBE. Some have been cooperative, while many have not! That is frustrating because our TA needs to block off rooms and needs our deposit. ughh!! This is where I am at now. IF anyone has any questions for me please feel free to post! My questions My fiance and I would like to book a day or night trip with our guests either before or after our wedding. Has anyone done a catamaran trip, or booze cruise etc? Did you and your fiance pay for it, or did you have your guests pay for it (whoever would like to join...) Did you like it? What would you suggest? Thanks so much! Hello Ladiiies! I have been on the other forum (2008-2009) and they are all very helpful, so I will be coming back and forth for awhile....I am also a 2010 bride -July 3 is my date ! ahhh I am glad you girls are on the topics of packages etc etc.. My fiance and are sooooo stressed and sooo upset.... So we have a TA and she ws working out fine.. da da da until our friends and families were checking out prices online and found much much better deals... I quickly called my TA and asked her to look into matching the price or getting the orginal pice down. She just couldnt do anything. She said companies like expedia and priceline etc. purchase the rooms and air in bulk and that is why the prices are soo different. So i had to pull the contract =( We want our friends and families to go and to get the best deals.. But Moon wont except the number of "rooms" booked with expedia etc towards our "packages" WHAT TO DOOOO? TA was there to help us out to organize our guest list amongst the rooms.. Now I am stuck and not knowing what to do.. I could have sworn i read someone said they were able to use expedia towards their packages.. STRESSEDD BRIDE TO BE (Jodi)

I am getting married next July and have a lot on my mind..How is this going to work.. how do you plan a destination wedding when your WC isn't given to u until 3 months be4, <<sigh>> but it seems to have worked for all you past Moon Palace brides and it makes it a lot easier for us soon to be brides!! SO thank u again I have some questions... Cake- U were able to find a a design u like and they made one similar? Sand Ceremony - u had to bring the supplies? THe shells for everyone.. etc? Or they supply it? Sorry if u discussed this in ur post already... Great review and You looked great!!

Nibsmom- Thank you soo much for your review. Where do Moon Palace brides go for their honeymoons in MEXICO?? Any suggestions?.. Secrets Maroma, Playa Excellence...?? Hello! Quick question for those who had their wedding or stayed at Moon Palace before.. What is the difference between the Nunzic Side (sorry for sp) and the Sunrise side? Suggestions where to have my group stay? Can anyone give me some guidance on ths topic! (I know this was touched upon not too long ago somewhere in this post..sorry) Thanks soo much! I found some designers I like.. winnie couture....Ines Di Santo....Watters... Winnie is hard to find-even in NYC. I need to check start reading the recent postings! I am a July 2010 Bride and I am def. getting married outside and having the reception outdoors as well..Yes it will be Hot, but we are in MEXICO!

CAMIE- I was the one who had people commenting on changing location due to all the DRAMA in Mexico. And now the newest-Swine Flu. I was and still am a little frustrated so I can totally understand what you must be going through. I hope it all works out for you. WOW- I didn't even finish your review-I am tired from working all day so I will invest more time into reading everything since you took YOUR time to write this! You looked great! Your dresses is gorgeous! Everything seemed/WAS soo perfect at least from your pictures and of course your review. I will read it again tomorrow with my fiance just in case i miss something. One question- When did you start planning everything? I just signed my contract, but the lady didn't say anything about leaving a deposit I just signed and had my credit card on their for the cancellation fee. KJT- Hi.. You def. have a cute idea adding "toys" for the couples with kids! Most people do bring their own sunscreen...Umm.Aloe vera Is great! Where is you wedding location?! Is this going to be your welcome bag/gift bag? ...If it is both then -I think you should def. put one item in there that is personalized (you n your FI's date and name). It might be kinda silly to have every little thing in there just your names, but it is your wedding!

Cutie- Congratulations! Would love to see your pictures and if you have any information you could provide us Beach Wedding-Brides to Be that would be great. I am getting married in July 2010! When should I request my terrace of choice. Now during the booking process? Camie- Thank you for letting me know. I can't convince the ones that are "scared" to go.. it doesn't matter where you go on vacation, you should always be aware of your surroundings. I honestly think it is an excuse, but whatever!
