I'm not sure where all you've checked but keep an eye on craigslist, ebay, Cheap Wedding Dresses, Used Wedding Dresses, Unique Wedding Favors, Unique Wedding Decorations ? BravoBride.com, Used Wedding Dresses | Once Wed IF you get desperate and it doesn't bother you, consider having a replica made. I had to because I fell in love with a $1200 dress. I had it made for just $180. There's a whole thread from brides who've gone the replica route, made me feel alot better when I saw REAL dresses that were made. Just an option! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...g-dress-36700/ -
Help Me Find One of These Dresses!!!
KJT1985 replied to adj's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I just ordered my replica maggie sottero dress (Lavina) from an ebay seller (but didn't go through ebay, just did it via email and paypal). I gave them a $60 deposit and they just finished the dress this past week. They sent me proof pictures at which time I had the option to change anything or not even buy it at all. Of course I went through with it because it looks amazing! Once it get it (should be by the end of the week) I'll update with quality as this was one of my concerns. I didn't want something that felt as thin and cheap as a davids bridal dress but now i'm more focused on the LOOK so i'm preparing myself for the fact that it will NOT be a maggie dress with regards to quality (but what can you expect for $180!!!). The seller is gianinarbridal ([email protected]). After I paid the deposit it took right at a month to get the proof pictures. Anyway, here is the original: And here's my replica. The beading isn't quite as "dark" but I don't mind at all. You can't expect it to be 100%. But it's certainly close enough that I was jumping around the house like a 2 year old! -

White knee-length dress for sale - size 12 - $50

SOLD! Thanks for looking ladies! -
My future SIL is starting to plan her wedding and is having the hardest time finding affordable invite options. They live in Toronto and everything she's found that she likes and is affordable is in the states (where she'd have to pay customs fees to receive them). So I'm wondering if all you lovely Canadian brides can point me in the direction of affordable Canadian invite sites? They're really trying to keep it well under $2 each (doesn't want anything super fancy either and is willing to DIY it). Thanks girls!!

Thanks guys. I think you've convinced me not to wear a necklace...now to find some cute earrings... -

They gave me the dimensions of all the cutting I will need (since I opted to do all the cutting and printing), as well as how many peices of all the paper I will need. I just recieved a catolog from another company and this style (but ugly!) would cost me over $300 for all the pieces I plan on including in this style invite! I paid $85 for 30 pocketfolds, and enough paper to do 25-30 inserts, mats, bellybands, ect. I also ordered two different types of adhesives they sell! There colored envelopes are dirt cheap. I found everything to be pretty inexpensive except the colored pattern paper. I did recieve 25% off as well. The website was kind of confusing at first but they have a live chat and responded to all my emails within about 24 hours. I can't wait to get all my paper to start putting these together! Yes! Aren't they amazing?!?! I too was confused and that's why I ordered the kit - I just made sure to take note of what sizes would have came if they precut them for me. Haha. I'm so happy I got to have my pocketfold invites without the cost normally associated with them! Congrats on finding ones you love too!

I wore this knee-length white dress for our pre-wedding AHR and have no need for it anymore. It's a size 12 (true to street size) but I had to take the bust in to fit (I'm a 36) but the cup size was not altered. I bought it on amazon for $70 and it comes with a shawl I did not use. Alternately, I bought a chiffon jacket from Davids Bridal for $30 that I will include - it's a size 16. Let me know if you're interested!

Yeah I was considering just doing earrings too. My grandmother passed away a month ago and I inherited a ring which i'm wearing on my right hand so that option is already taken. Even though I love big sparkly jewelry i'm also wearing a rhinestone headband and am getting a veil with rhinestones on it...so maybe it would all be a bit too much... -
Ok I need help. Words cannot express how indecisive I am. Now my dress is on its way and i've been looking at jewelry but have NO idea what I want. Since the dress has so much beading at the top I want it simple. But I, personally, don't like the idea of using everyday jewelry on the wedding. I want something special, I want something that is noticeable and beautiful without overpowering my dress, something with some substance without being heavy visually. I was also hoping to get my something blue through the jewelry. Please help me!!! Here's my dress detail: And my friend offered to let me borrow this necklace of hers: (A) But I really like these too: (in silver) ( © (D) (E) (F)

There's a whole thread on knockoff dresses girls here have ordered (with picts). I just updated mine from an ebay seller who made a custom dress for me (based off a Maggie Sottero dress). I got the proof pictures (then they'll change anything I want before I commit to buying it) so I don't have the real thing but i'm ECSTATIC with how it looks. A $1200 dress for $180 including shipping!! Can't beat THAT! Here's the knockoff thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...g-dress-36700/

OK! I said i'd update when my Maggie "knockoff" came in and here it is! I just got my proof pictures for my dress i'm jumping around the house like a crazy person!! I fell in love with Maggie Sottero's Lavina but just couldn't spend $1200 on it. So I had a knockoff made by gianinarbridal. The dress costs $180 with shipping. I first put down a $60 deposit and they just sent me the proof pictures! Now i'll ok it and finish paying. I'M ECSTATIC! first the original (I tried it on in a store) Now the copy! The beading is a bit different - "lighter" I guess but I just love it! And IT'S MINE!! -

Oh sure, sorry I didn't include this earlier! I bought the pocketfold invite kit from here: Easy-Order Kits! You can set the colors of everything individually. I, personally, didn't order the extra rsvp card and envelope because we're just having people call, email or use our website. The pockets come pre-made so I just had to put the mat down (green part under the invite) with glue-dots. They can precut the invites and inserts for you but I was concerned about how to get it to print right in our printer. I printed everything myself and attached the invites with glue-dots (rsvp and resort info just slide in). I had plenty of extra paper so I did the matching monograms. The only extra thing we bought was the ribbon to wrap around (I used a hot glue gun for those). I hope I covered everything!
