Congrats on finding your dress it's very nice and what a good price! It's going to be in my area on 4/3 in Rockville MD and 7/31 at Mazza Gallery in DC, so I want to go but not sure if I can deal with all that craziness. I found 2 dresses that I like but haven't purchased yet. I am going to go to the "Running of the Brides" when it comes I am just trying to get my plan together and I know I can get a crew with no problem but I don't like a lot of drama. So I'm wondering if I go after the rush will I still find something, what do you suggest? I also have a friend that manages at another store that I need to ask if she has ever worked at one of those events to see what she suggest.

I spoke to Paula at Sungold and she highly recommended a female associate but I can't remember the name I'm almost sure it started with an S, you may want to ask her about her. Both are also out of my price range but I'm going to see what we can do as well as see how well the other ladies photo's go since I have a little time to play with. mastistyle-Courtney said he sent you an email, he really wants to take a trip to meet you and the group to see exactly what you guys want to do and to introduce himself, not sure if you interested in that though

I totally understand, we have pushed our date back one reason is because he felt overwhelmed. I'm just going to do things without him, I will leave his attire up to him. If he wants to get onboard later and it's still something for him to put input his in on then great, but for now I am going to continue planning. I bet if some astronomical amout of money comes up short they'll pay attention, hehehe!

People never do right with RSVPing! I had 2 friends do DW and people who booked like a few weeks before. Only thing I can suggest is that you strongly enforce them to RSVP because you have to book TA, but it's always that one, so good luck. The people that I anticipate attending I am going to send out information to them in a month or so and then my STD aren't going out to a month or so later and the only people receiving an invitation are those who have booked TA by this time next year. I think it's a waist to send an invitation to people you know aren't coming, my STD will serve to give me an idea of who may be coming cause I know some who just aren't or can't.

I agree, I wouldn't pay, if they were staying at the resort then they would have been paying for that. If that was the case everybody could have stayed somewhere different and just had you pay for day passes, it's not fair to you or the other guest in my opinion and they should understand that.

My budget is $1000, I'm not willing to pay more than that and the 2 I have on hold are under that price, it's something I consider I can save on. I feel like I can find something nice that I like in that price range, I'll only be wearing it for a few hours for that one day. FI wouldn't care if I had on t-shirt and flip flops or rather nothing at all, hehehe!

I actually am not going to stress too much over a dress. I mean I do plan on having a nice dress but that is one thing I can save cost on because I have a set price and I just can't see me paying an outrageous price for a dress that I will have on one evening for a few hours, I can still find something reasonably priced and look nice. I was supposed to be getting married in August so I had already looked at dresses in the beginning of Jan. at Demetrio's Bridal Salon; it's in the Macy's here. My co-worker got married back in October so she was always giving me her magazines when she was finished with them and I had started looking in magazines and online but the only dresses I really liked were by Demetrio’s, I mean I seen a few Vera Wang dresses that were nice but not in my budget. When I first started looking I was going to get a dress from Nordstrom's online, I don't want anything too big, hot, or heavy. The salon said it can take up to 6 months for the dress to come so I am going to order by Sept. I'm also thinking about going to the "Running of the Brides", at Filene's Basement because they have such good deals at those events but I have to go after the ciaos dies down, that may be too much drama. I think it will be fun and I'm interested in seeing what they have, the event will be in my area in April and July.

That's what he's like, just make sure your there! I'm gonna be therr alright, with all the stuff I liked and wanted. He is gonna try to have some input when it's way too late and gues what, TOO BAD!
