we have chosen a place we really like but the quote includes a rum punch for everyone upon arrival, wine and beer, and valet parking. My father is a Minister and he may contribute but feel reluctant to because of the alcohol, as well as who knows what his wife might say. My mother doesn't drink either and my only issue with the wine is that it's their house white and red wine which I doubt me or FI will like, we like sweet dessert wines. So I'm wondering can I just get away with a cash bar and please fill me in on the valet parking, I didn't even think about that. It's a 3 hour friday night event at a hotel in a room that holds 80 comfortably that they display art in to give you an idea of the type of party it will be. I guess cocktail party style because we will have passed hors d'oeuvres not any sit down dinner. I just wanted to give our families a chance to meet each other especially before the wedding. I was gonna do a cookout but felt people would be less likey to mingle and get to know one another. Please offer me some advice, thanks!

Well like Royal lady10 said the wedding ring is given with the contingency of marriage and is worn as a symbolism, so it does seem like you should give it back if the wedding/marriage is over. But IMHO I would not give it back but I would be courteous enough to stop wearing it, LOL. I probably would do something else with it, I mean it shouldn't go to waste just because the relationship did.

Thanks for the info. Dunn's River Falls is nice but as they have said it is pretty far from Negril but it is nice to check out once you get to Ocho Rios. I also agree with the taxi tip, if you tell them when and where to pick you up they will be there! We had a poor guy waiting on us 2 hurs because we over slept. When we got to the lobby we we're so suprised he was still there he took us to our location and then introduced us to another taxi driver that would take us back. We took care of him though. I have a frien who used a guy named Courtney all through out her stay I have his number if you would like it. Off to check out YS Falls and Mayfiels Falls!

For the those of you that have already booked DJ/Band what was required to book them a deposit or anything? I want to book the music and photographer first then the rest should be easy.

I keep crossing my fingers that mine will be a guest cause we are friends outside of the salon or one of my other girlfriends that can do hair cause I just can't do the hair thing. I get fustrated and want it to be perfect and still end up disappointed. But if it was my thing I would just be putting it on my schedule!

Hello All, Just wanted to say HELLO! Hopefully planning is going well for everyone. I'm currently working on getting our STD's, the engagement party, and puting up our website which I hope I will have them all covered by the end of next week, I feel a little behind but it will all get done. I seen a few events on weddingwire that I may try to go to next month, if anyone is interested in going I will try to remember to post 2 weeks before the event.

I def will, looks like you get married a month before me so I will just have in my mind to do mine in March depending on who all is in on it but I will put it out as a new thread or on our area thread cause that's where it should probably go.

Hey All, I still have time to decide on my hair but it is on my mind, I'm hoping one of my friends will come through. Speaking of the BD shoot in the DC area I was wondering the samething but I am considering going north to Kamilah since her work is so good and if I can get a few people to go with me I'll be willing to do that, hoping I can afford it. I have a question I have the option to do AI for $125pp per day which is a bit much to me because I don't really like AI since I'm always on the go but do you think it's worth it and how was the alcoholic beverages if you or any of your guest had them, that's the real question, LOL

Don't feel bad good thing is you have a WC. When you first log on the site there is a tab with a timeline you can follow or most wedding websites have a timeline you can use even though some things may be a little different for DW. Hope that helps, good luck with palnning.
