  1. Love Cavas - the Spanish version of Prosecco. It's delicious. I see more and more of them on menus as alternatives to champagne - especially by the glass (or you get those little splits that are so fun!).

  3. Congrats! Enjoy the next year of planning and don't forget to take lots of deep breaths - this forum is incredibly helpful!
  4. Love the bright colors! I do like the beige pants and white shirt as well. What about doing a white shirt with a blue embroidery to tie it all together? My FI just ordered his shirt yesterday and we ordered one all-white and one with colored embroidery that matches my bridesmaid's dresses (most likely that the groomsmen will wear). We're not sure which we'll like best, but I'd rather have a couple of options to test.
  5. Welcome and congrats! We're honeymooning in Costa Rica after our wedding Nov. 21st! Will cross my fingers for great weather for November!
  6. NaM - those turned out so great! Your guests are going to love them. Hoping to get my invites out by end of month!
  7. Just curious what people thought of the wedding. Bride's hair gets a thumbs down from me, but I'll take Bobbi Brown to do my make up any day. Plus, does anyone really want to get married at 8am? I guess if someone else pays the bill, it wouldn't be so bad?!
  8. Congrats and welcome Krista! I will be in Riviera Maya a couple of days after your wedding - it's coming up so soon!
  9. Thanks for posting Sheila - the pics are great and we're using Erick from Claudia Photo, so it's great to see your photos!
  10. My post got away from me! Meg&Shay - love the dress. Perfect for TTD session. I almost ordered by BM dresses off that site before I found them in a store. Good find!
  11. Erika - I love it. As a fellow CO-bride, where did you shop locally? My FI and I are going this weekend and since my jewelry shop closed its location, I'm starting from scratch! His will be easy since it's diamond-free and will probably be inexpensive!
  12. That looks gorgeous on you! I really loved the Maggie Sottero dresses I tried, but decided on another when it came down to it. I visit the Maggie dress, though, when I go back to the bridal shop. Love the lace on the veil. Beautiful!
  13. drbrainfreeze - I am laughing out loud at your post. Who on earth would do those things? Are you two still friends? I haven't bridezilla'd out yet - but there's still time. I can feel it brewing!
  14. I think Jon is trying to relive his 20's in his 30's. Seems like he's feeling sorry for himself that he didn't get to experience his 20's like most of his peers (partying, dating, etc). Now he's got millions in the bank that he can party with!
  15. Welcome! Bali would be incredible - my sister and her FI just did a trip there. I hear you can get a lot of great deals for your money too. Good luck!
  16. Welcome Mike! Congrats and it's nice to see a Groom on the forum!

This is the longest wait ever! I'll post the link as soon as I get them. Thanks Katken! My FI has a Mac, so we may be in business! Or maybe I can hire your mom? Can't wait to see your photos!
  18. I'm guessing like most celebrities, she lives in a fantasy world. Dating Tony kept her in the public eye a bit - now she has no reality show, no buzz around her concerts and all of her movies have gone straight to DVD. At least she has her shoe line.
  19. Thanks for sharing - always easy to leverage someone else's great idea than start from scratch!
  20. Great site - wrist cords are on there and very cheap too! Thanks for posting!
  21. That was so helpful - thanks so much!
  22. I got my wedding invites from Wedding Paper Divas - and thought I got a pretty good deal for what I ordered (invites w/inserts, thank you cards, special envelopes, etc) and was very happy with their customer service too. I found my rehearsal dinner invites on Etsy, though, and I think I spent $40 for 25-30 of those and they are adorable. Invitations by Dawn also has great DW invites that are unique too. Just depends how "into" invitations you want to get. I think in the end, the people that really appreciate the invitations are either the newlywed or brides-to-be since we all know what goes into choosing them!
