  1. Maybe she and Nick can get back together now...at least so they can make the pages of US Weekly again.
  2. Thanks for the tip on Rose - I will check out Montes Cherub. I think we're doing a Prosecco for our "champagne" toast as I wasn't wild about any of the sparkling wines my hotel offered - and the real champagnes were just ridiculously expensive for 75 people who probably aren't that interested. I'm having trouble finding any info/ratings on the one they offer though: NV Prosecco, Il Follo Villa Luigia Brut Valdobbiadene.
  3. This thread is making me thirsty! I'm a lover of the whites when it turns summertime, but lately, I've been trying Rose's and I've gotta say, yum! Granted, I think most people equate pink wine with box o' wine or older ladies playing bridge, but I'm loving it's light and flavorful taste!
  4. I love this show - I subscribed to Showtime just so I could stay current! I do think each season is growing darker...now we're totally away from Nancy being the neighborhood supplier and into some Mexican drug lord territory though. I miss some of the old characters - Conrad, Helia and the town of Agrestic. Still a great show!
  5. I've found that mixing a good-smelling moisturizer with the Jergen's Natural Glow helps kill some of that odd self-tanner smell, but I agree, it takes a bit longer to get that "base" going. Has anyone found a good one for face that looks natural but gives you a little color?
  6. FIJI is a fantastic option for a honeymoon. There are some great resorts on the main island and it's fun to head into town and check out "real" Fijian culture that way. You definitely want to splurge for a few nights in the over-water huts - it's worth it. I'm not sure of all-inclusives there, but when I went, we ate and stayed at the resort except for a couple of nights venturing into town, so that would be a great option.
  7. Hi! We're headed to Costa Rica for 2 weeks after our wedding in Mexico and right now, we're probably at about $8000 for 2 weeks hotel, transfers, car, food and some excursions. We are using points for one hotel, so that helps, but I did choose more of the "luxurious" hotels/rooms since it's our honeymoon. My FI is more interested in the honeymoon anyway, so it's an easy sell, at least! I say this is one of the most important trips you and your FI will ever take - so do it up if you can!
  8. Welcome Sandy! That's so great that you are checking out the forum!
  9. Congrats and welcome to the forum!
  10. Hey ladies, Anyone have a good template for a "welcome to mexico/azul sensatori/etc" brochure? Katken - I know you found one on the forum to use, but I'm having trouble finding it. If anyone knows the right thread or can point me in the right direction - I'd appreciate it!
  11. I love this thread - it just calmed my 4-months-to-go nerves that have started to make sleep challenging. Thanks ladies!
  12. Welcome - the forum will be a great help to you as you select your resort! Good luck!
  13. I hear ya Nicole - my dress fits like a glove in waist/hip area. I think I will have to stay away from chips & guac and coronas while we are in Mexico for the 4 days leading up to our wedding! That will be tough!
  14. Congrats! We are actually doing our honeymoon in Costa Rica for 2 weeks - I can't wait. Your wedding will be beautiful!
  15. Shandalier - That's really frustrating! The rules seem to change often without much notice or explanation. I'm sure you'll be happier with just bringing your own photographer, though. Still curious why Claudia is no longer offered!
  16. My dress is in too! I've already been down to try it on and it fits almost perfectly - probably means I can't eat for the next 4 months! It was pretty weird putting it on - definitely felt "real".

It's pretty disappointing though...she and her team look amazing! That is so strange! I wonder what happened there? Claudia gets so many raves for her team's work - without her as an option, there aren't many options, are there?

Hi Meghan, There's a whole thread on this - I experienced the same thing. The minimum number of posts has been increased to 150 to move to Jr. Member - this will help with forum traffic, manage downloads of attachments and encourage postings (and the thread explains more). So we're both back to Noobs, but if we keep up our activity, we'll be back to Jr. Members in no time!
  19. Welcome welcome! Enjoy the forum!

Have to still get my veil and shoes, OOT bags, FI's shirt and tie, 1st dress fitting (scheduled for July 25th), and have to figure out my bach party situation with my BMs. Are all of you ladies doing a bachelorette party and if so when, where, etc? Holy cow I can't believe it's only 4 months away!!! I can't believe it's 4 months away either! I'm doing my bachelorette shower in Chicago in August and another shower/spa day in September with my Colorado ladies. Most of the girls who can't make the wedding are trying to make the trip to Chicago, but for those who can't, my BM's decided to do something locally too. I'm looking for my wedding bands as well - the unfortunate news is that my jeweler closed his shop, so getting the matching band to my engagement ring is a bit difficult. Guess I have to start over shopping!
  21. Welcome! There are likely threads on these photographers somewhere in the forum if you do a search on the photog name. Good luck!
  22. I love to see Grooms on the forum! Congrats and good luck with the planning!
  23. Hi ladies, We're using Erick for our wedding and are doing the 5 hour package with him. Any thoughts on the packages for those who have already gotten married? I don't need a lot of "getting ready" pics and am focusing our time on bridal party, ceremony and reception.
  24. I'm so glad I found this post today - I was so confused! Thanks for clearing up the changes.
