That sucks Camie! But at least the cocktail hour isn't too expensive. Do you still get the group rates or do you need to pay the difference?

We are also working with Tammy Host for our group contract, $368 for a double. We are leaving Thrusday, July 9th and flying from Denver. I found roundtrip tickets on aol.com for $311 each. We also have some pple flying from San Diego and Hawaii, but I'm not sure how much flights are for them. I am also worried about our guests booking on expedia or other travel sites for discounted packages. Did you girls put info about your TA on your invitations? One more question....does anyone know what the honeymoon package includes?

I agree DWandMJ!! I am nervous because we haven't even sent out our invites yet! But we have told everyone, so they have been saving (lets hope!). No way would we beable to get 30+ guests! Nibsmom, what happens if you don't get your 50% by the deadline? I am still working on the group contract so I don't know how that all works yet.

Hey girls, Its official...I finally signed my contract! We are set for the free symbolic ceremony and then we are going to add some optional services. I also ordered some great save the dates and invites from greetingcard village. They fit great into our starfish theme. They have awesome prices and Sandy is so nice to work with!! And I haven't signed a contract yet...Janina told me she was still waiting for the approval of the minister. She has not emailed me back yet. All she informed me was that the wedding was booked for July 13th at 6pm. I think I'm going to email her and find out whats going on. I don't think you get assigned a WP until 90 days before your wedding.

Do we have a choice where to hold the cocktail reception? I am wondering if this is a private location and if we are allowed to bring in things to decorate? Camie, what does the venado garden look like? Do you have any pictures?? I think the lighting isn't a bad idea and the price isn't too bad! Also does anyone know if the day of the wedding counts as one of the three days we need to be there? We are getting married here and having a symbolic ceremony there but I still think we need to be there early. Is anyone doing this? We both need to get passports and I'm not sure whether to get one now or wait until May (we are just going to the courthouse to marry ourselves) and then get a passport with my new name?

Camie...thanks for posting the sunset link! My wedding is set for 6pm so it helped a lot!! I think I'm also just going to go with the cocktail reception and no formal dinner. One less thing to worry about...!!! Is anyone here having a beach ceremony? I am going to try this instead of the gazebo. I was wondering if there were extra costs associated with this?

Thanks Nibsmom!! I received group rates but they don't seem to carry a big discount. If you book through a TA are you still eligible for the free cocktail reception? Anyone know any great TAs that helped you?? Thats a good question Ashrose....I was wondering the same thing! I'm also wondering how I'm going to ship everything there. I'm afraid something will break or get messed up somehow....What if we wanted colored linens??

~Hey Ladies~ I am soooo excited!! I finally heard back and have been assigned a wedding coordinator. Does anyone have any info to share on Janina Mendoza? She is working with the resort and should get back to me with the contract shortly. I am kind of nervous because I'm trying to pull this whole thing together in only 6 months. Can anyone share what the contract process is like? Can you change things if you want to? I have so many questions!!

I've noticed that Isla has much more availability in terms of wedding dates and times. The picture of the wedding on the beach at dusk is so amazing!!

My fiancee and I are going to get legally married here in Colorado and then have a symbolic ceremony in Mexico. The blood tests scare me too much!!
