    Sorry girls I've been MIA!! SD-I too wanted to get married with the sand between my toes and the waves crashing feet away. Its always been a dream of mine. Plus it seems to be a little more private on the beach. Lauren-SOOOO close sooo close!! Fanny- your pictures are so beautiful!! You guys looked like you had a fabulous time!

    Ahh thanks! FI has been struggling with finding attire that he "likes". We may have to take a trip to Dillards tomorrow.

    We don't really want to (we have about 2 of everything possible) but we keep getting pestered. We really don't expect/want anything but I figured if it will make other people feel better we'll create a minimalistic registry.

    Welcome to the new Paradisus girls!! How exciting!! Glad to have you all on board! RCBlondie...don't stress...Perla took 2.5 weeks to get back to me on my date...and I was about 12 months out when I contacted her. I'm sure you'll get your date! Lauren..HOW EXCITING!! So close! Glad to hear that Perla is responding faster. I haven't contacted her in over a month I figured I'd give her time to focus on the upcoming weddings!! Man I gotta get on it...less than six months left! Crazy how fast time goes!

    That dress is gorgeous! Definietly beachy....just match the decor. Like everyone else said your day is about feeling BEAUTIFUL..if that dress makes you feel great GO FOR IT!

    Total side note...so weird the first post with Brian and Amie are my two best friends!! Amie looked spectacular in the birdcage veil..the pictures don't even do it justice. The style is so elegant!

    Lauren I'm sure everything will be wonderful. I don't know if this helps at all but FI and I really thought about WHY we chose the Paradisus to begin with. The resteraunts and shows to us were just an added bonus. We were really psyched about the one wedding a day and how amazing the resort looked and just the atmosphere that we feel it will provide. Like the other girls have said you will be so busy enjoying your moment that the resteraunts will probably end up being just a small aspect of your experience. I am convinced that everything will be spectacular regardless.

    Lauren I am so sorry to hear this!! My travel agent called me last night in regards to some of the other brides complaints and asked if I wanted to switch resorts. After talking to my FI we decided to stay at the Paradisus. She did say that she is attending a conference with the Paradisus's parent company later this week and will try to find out as much information as possible from corporate and then let me know. I'll be sure to pass the information along to the other brides!!

    Cyndi...my computer crashed last week right after I sent you the PM. ALLLLL of my pics were on it. I'm currently having the hard drive re-formatted and once I get everything back up and running I'll be sure to post some pics for you. I just didn't want you to think that I'd forgotten.

    Yamille and Bumbles you both had fantastic reviews!! I can't wait to see pics Yamille!! You have both worried me on the hair though. Has anyone looked into any off site locations for this?

    I think that you have enough time you just need to figure things out. The good thing about a destination wedding is that a lot of the things that take a lot of time to plan and deal with for a traditional wedding you don't have to do. Most of the resorts have their own vendors so you don't have to worry about about booking a lot of different groups for your date. I'm about 6 months out and only two of my guests have booked so 5 months of plenty of time for your guests to decide. I hope that helps! HANG IN THERE AND GOOD LUCK!!

    Becks, Was 4 to 6 weeks enough time to firm up all the head count items associated with planning? Thats my biggest stress right now...we haven't a clue how many people are even thinking about coming. We were thinking about sending out invites super early just to get RSVPs back earlier....
