  1. Okay I've had lots of PMs so here are the menus that I've received from Daniela. I've been compiling a list of questions that I have and I'll send my new list once a week or every two weeks. It ends up working out that I get a response right when I'm ready to send the next batch. Hang in there from what I've heard on the board her and Perla are fantastic. 2. Cac239 welcome and congrats on being a Paradisus Bride!! Daniella sent me two different menus. The second one kind of clarified things for me. If you pm me your email I'll send the menus that i have if it'll help clear things up for you. MissyR thanks for the email. I am very meticulous about things too! This makes a great template for me to outline my final decisions!!
  3. OMG I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE this !! My FI would kill me if I started blowing budget on all the little things though...I might have to get creative and cut costs somewhere else.
  4. I agree with everyone on here. At first I started freaking out because I thought I was going to totally blow my budget but just do TONS of RESEARCH. If you are willing to do the leg work you can save tons of money. $12,000 should result in a gorgeous wedding!! Good Luck!
  5. Thanks for posting this!! My resort charges $4 per chair bow and $30 for overlays!! This should save me a bundle!!
  6. PRETTY PRETTY! I don't know that I could have brought myself to do it. ENJOY THEM!!
  7. AHHH thanks so much for this!! We have been going back and forth on a honeymoon spot and this really helps!
  8. Congrats Laurenandbill!! Hey girls...I sent Daniella a note asking what exactly was included in each of the packages in terms of decoration...to determine if I was just going to customize and all she did was send me a price sheet. <sigh> ..does any body know if chair covers, ceremony gazebo, etc is included in any of the packages? Centerpieces? I'm glad I have awhile to sort this all out!
  9. I am definitely planning on doing a TTD session. I've decided to just use my one dress. Like you said I'm not planning on wearing it again. Plus...depending on the fabric of your dress you could still get it cleaned. You'd be suprised what dry cleaners can do these days!
  10. I will be a Maggie bride and I am THRILLED!! I ended up buying my dress at a store locally, I just got nervous at the thought of ordering my dress online. Not quite sure why. The local store had a fantastic price so I wouldn't have had much savings after shipping anyways. My dress hasn't come in yet but I'll let you know how I feel once it arrives. Good luck
  11. OOhhh good thread. I think that we are going to do it after. I want the wedding in Mexico to be the first time I say my vows too.
  12. I like the font better on the second one but the brown better on the first. Both are very cute though!!
  13. Kelly thanks for the great review!! I'm just starting the planning at the Paradisus and am so excited! Your pictures turned out fantastic. I LOOOVED your bouquet and was thinking of doing something similar. Did you have to pay extra or did that count as your tropical bouquet? Thanks again for sharing.
  14. The picture isn't coming up but if the first dress on the left in the link is the dress you are referring to...I tried on one similar by Mori Lee who is very affordable. Most of the destination dresses I tried on by her wer 300-500Hope that helps a lil....
  15. Jess your dress is beauuuuuuuuuutiful!! I didn't see anything like that when I was looking. Mine is below.... The picture doesn't even do it justice....so pretty in person. Can't wait till it come in!! Front Back
  16. Hey girls! The resort finally got back to me and we are BOOKED!! December 12, 2009!! SOOOO excited to be a Paradisus bride!!
  17. Okay my computer crashed last night as I was posting...so lets try this one more time.... I finished my STD Boarding passes after seeing tons of inspiration from everyone on this board. (Originally I was just going to send out an email) I'm not going to lie...I think mine ended up being a hodge podge of the ideas that I saw here! You guys had such great ideas!! Anyways...since you guys seem to have such a spectacular eye for this stuff I was hoping that I could get some feedback on what you think. I'll post my boarding pass ticket jackets when I'm done with those too. The brown that I used doesen't show up that well on the screen but prints GREAT!! I used wmtrees1, scriptina, and GE out to sea as my specialty fonts. Found at dafont.com. If nothing else I hope this could lend some inspiration to someone else or serve as a template. (Gotta give back to the forum that inspired me after all) I'll be sure to post pictures of the completed product too. Save the Date-Post.ppt
  18. I am with all of you too! My FI and I have been living together in my house for the past two years. We have more than enough household stuff. I told a bunch of my girlfriends that we weren't registering and if anything we would just do a honeymoon registery (to get cash), and you would have thought that I was telling them someone died. I figured by saying that we weren't registering they would get the hint but I guess not. We might have to try the bed bath and beyond route....
  19. Ahhh..thanks Missy! That makes me feel a lot better! Can't wait to start sharing some wedding planning.
  20. Hey everyone!! I've been lurking for the past 3 days reading all 89 pages of posts!! SOOOO much WONDERFUL information!! I'm so excited! The only thing that is stressing me right now is reserving our date!! We are working through destinationweddings.com and they said that they contacted the resort on Tuesday and still have no reply on availability. How long did it take for them to get back to you? My FI is finishing his MBA and we have a SUPER tight time window that we are working with. If we don't get our date we're going to have to move the wedding out 9 months!!
  21. Not only is the dress super cute...but its definitely a dress that they could wear again. Always a plus when you're a brides maid.
