I agree with everyone else. Most of the dresses I tried on were at least a 10. Plus as long as you get the general idea of the cut of the dress you should be good. Worse case you might not be able to completely zip up...but who cares! You'll be able to buy the dress of your dreams in your size. As for Maggie dresses...a lot of them that I tried on were corsett style in the back which give you a lot more to work with when trying them on when compared to a zip style. You'll have to share pictures when you've found "the one". HAVE FUN!!

Westin Resort= BIG Dissappointment
egsarah replied to Lizette's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
I'm sorry to hear this! I really hope that everything works out for you!! Please keep us posted. Don't stress too much you still need to enjoy your big day even if they are being difficult! -
YIKES!! This is what they sent me today. It looks like their wedding planning guide is much more detailed than the original one they sent me. Hope it helps! It seems like other than the bouquets no flowers are included in any of the packages. I asked for a centerpiece brochure and I was told it was in the works but they didn't have anything completed yet. Daniella suggested that I email pictures of what I was thinking of doing. Well last night (37 days before the wedding) she sent me these with an email that answered all my questions from a week and a half ago and with instructions that I'm to choose everything now and get it to her at least 3 weeks before the wedding. I even went and read every email we've had and there was nothing about this in any of them. She had always answered my questions, and that was it. I am wondering how you all chose your flowers without seeing them, your cake without seeing the options, the chairs... etc I am so mad that she had never sent me this information before and why she would have told me we choose stuff when we're there... I'm frustrated!!!! Julie...I completely understand where you are coming from. If it wasn't for this board I would be in your EXACT same situation. I feel like everything is being fed piece meal and you need to PULL it out of them! If there is anything that you feel you need just ask one of us on the board and hopefully one of us will have it to share. I've been posting all of the attachments they've sent me along the way. Don't worry everything is going to turn out great. Just hang in there!!

Okay I need a vent moment...please bear with me.. And let me preface a little...I am an engineer by trade. I am highly analytical and do a cost analysis on just about everything in life..ESPECIALLY this whole wedding business. I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on SWANK and think that a lot of the fees that the resort charges are frankly rediculous. ($30 for an overlay?) So... I sent a HUGE list of questions to Daniella. Basically trying to get the breakdown on what ALL of my options were. If something is cheaper and better to go with an external vendor than I will. There is no sense in overpaying (especially when we have the high potential to have 100 guests). Daniella got back to me and IGNORED half of my questions. I numbered everything out so that nothing could get lost in the mix. Some questions she answerd right below some she just completely skipped. At the top she said "it looks like you have a lot of questions about external vendor fees so I'm wondering how much your budget is". Okay maybe I'm overreacting but come on!! I'd rather spend extra on a day at the spa with my friends than an over priced dj or some over priced overlays?!?! At this point I don't know what to do. I'd gladly pay their prices and still be within budget but why would I do that when I could be greatly UNDER budget if I went externally? Okay I'll get off my soapbox.... Did anyone else deal with the same frustration?

Fresh flowers & cake - bad idea!

Thanks for the tip!! The last thing I want to do is get my guests sick!! -
We found a side feed laser printer at work....that works!! My FI is going to bring them in and do them next week!! Its a side feed to a side tray so it doesn't have to wrap all the way around the rollers! WOO HOO!! I'll be sure to post pics and templates once I'm done. And the name of the printer for that matter!

Has anyone used a Nu Bra?
egsarah replied to Rhonda's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Please let us know how they work. I am DEFINITELY going to need a little "assistance". My dress is completely backless and has a deep V in the front. I don't want to look like a boy with no support. -

I'm so glad mine is already on order. Normally I wait forever to take care of these things. Maybe I should learn to get on it earlier! -
"should you be invited" quiz
egsarah replied to 1elephant's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
This is great! Although my invite list would be substantially smaller!! Hmmm that could be a good thing. -
Those of you that have done your own Save the Dates have you had any issues printing on cardstock? I've printed my ticket jackts on three different printers and every time it prints the top gets cut off. It prints fine on normal paper. FI and I have tried changing the paper type on the printer and everything. Advice??!

Help! I hate my dress...
egsarah replied to Amelie's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I agree if you're unhappy I'd get something else. You can always sell your other dress to make up the difference in your budget. It's your day you should look and feel gorgeous! -
Dress is in - any suggestions?
egsarah replied to fudgie's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Your dress is gorgeous! I would definitely go with the etsy chandeliers!! I wouldn't do a necklace..you will have enough with the earings and the details on the dress. -

They don't count each "group" as its own vendor? Are you using them for food as well? The menu prices have blown my mind!! I'm just having a really hard time paying that much for certain items since its an all inclusive. I know that all the resorts do it but come on!!
