Booked my photogs 6. Assembled STDs - boarding passes(not sent yet) 7. Finalized guest list 8. Booked FI and my travel 9. Tentatively have a DJ 10. Picked out my legal friday dress 11. Picked out rehersal dinner dress I think a few more things too...but I still feel behind

There have been so many girls on this board with positive things to say that I would feel very confident in your choice! I can't help you with photographers since some of my friends (who are photogs) will be coming down to shoot for me.

For those of you that are going with an outside DJ, Did you send them the external vendor policy that SWANK sent you? Or did you just deal with it on your own. Perla said that I would have to follow his policy including the 15% of original tip. He did come back with a "slightly" lower quote but still no where near what I've received from others.

This is fantastic. I'm sure it will save me many meltdowns. Thanks as always for sharing all of your wonderful ideas.

Happy Belated Wedding Day Meredith!! I hope everything was fabulous!! Perla emailed me back on the whole DJ thing and sent me SWANK's external vendor sheet that I already had. It just sucks because if I knew I'd have to pay 15% of the original quote I would have: 1. Never got a quote from him 2. Not asked for a quote until I got other quotes and asked him what he would do to "match" Hopefully Sandra will come back with some answers....

If anyone wants to do a group shot let me know! I may be interested (still trying to figure out how to get it in the budget). I'm closer to Houston but could come up to Austin or San Antonio for a weekend.

That does remind me of why I chose the Paradisus to begin with! One question did they charge you for two sets of chair covers and bows? We may be having close to 100 ppl so it could get expensive if we have to buy two sets.

I think I'm going to try and play dumb though and see what Perla says. 15% of the original quote?! Why would I do that?! If his orignal quote was reasonable then I would pay it. I got one quote for $475 for 4 hours...I'm planning on going with that if I can get around the vendor fees. I'll let you girls know what I find out. Oh BTW...SWANK's Quote break down...which I STILL don't understand... $980 for 4 hrs DJ Audio Service $ 135 for set up $109 Tax $ 535 Labor WTF?! $ 55 damage waiver Grand total $ 1279...Something doesn't add up though...I'm guessing the labor is part of the DJ Service.... That seems to be about right from the quotes that I have gotten.
