Jeremy did an awesome job photographing our wedding and trash the dress at Secret's Maroma in June 2009. He also photographed our friends "Kathy and Mark's"wedding in Cancun the same weekend. We are both very impressed with how the images turned out. He is very professional and a great guy to work with! My husband and I highly recommend him! If you would like to see more of his great work I have attached a link to our slide show he created for us. http://jeremygilliam.com/slideshows/Cathy_Dan_Wedding/

Hey girl! I haven't been on this site in awhile and thought I better sign on to start my reviews and just came across your post.... I can't believe the experience you had with this photographer and I am so sorry! You are awesome for posting this so other brides are aware and can avoid this unprofessional jerk. If you wouldn't have sent me a PM on this guy during my planning stages I might have been in the same boat. I am forever grateful to you and all your help during my wedding planning. Thank you!!!

DJ: Mannia Cancun review
DeBooCL replied to Philly_Bride's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
We hired Carlos from DJ mannia for our 6-5-9 wedding at Secrets Maroma. He is the preferred DJ for Secrets Maroma so there are no outside vendor fees. His price is a bit high compared to other DJs, but the quality is worth every cent! My husband, I and guests were very impressed! My husband and I are so glad we decided to go with a DJ instead of using an I pod! Carlos met with us the morning before our wedding to discuss details. Carlos was very professional and played all the songs we requested by email 2 weeks before our wedding. We would highly recommend him! -

HELP!!! Sand Ceremony reading??

As you stand beside the ocean, may your love always be as constant as the tide; waves flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea. Just as water is the eternal force of life, so is love. Love is the force that allows us to face fear and uncertainty with courage. You have just sealed your relationship by giving and receiving of rings. But although you will be sharing one life, never forget that you are two separate people. Cherish and affirm your differences. Love each other. Keep your commitment primary. Together you will laugh and cry, be sick and well, be happy and angry, share and grow. Grow sometimes together, sometimes separately. To symbolize this union and the importance of the individuals within the marriage, two separate colors of sand will be combined. Each one holds its own unique beauty, strength, and character. They can stand on their own and be whole, without need of anything else. However when these two are blended together they create and entirely new and extraordinarily more intricate entity. Each grain of sand brings to the mixture a lasting beauty that forever enriches the combination. Please pour the sand into this common container to symbolize the union of your two lives. Kathleen and Pawel, just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual container, so will your marriage be a molding of two individual personalities, bonded together forming one heart, one life, and one family. That is awesome! Thank you so much. I have been searching all over the internet for a sand ceremony message that "does not loose the individual" Love it! -
Love your vases from pier one BlissfulMsMiranda. I think I might have to get them . Are you using colored sand or the sand from the beach? I would like to use both. However, to order sand in my colors online is 3 dollars but the shipping is 10 because of the weight. pretty ridiculous. The only colors I have seen are light brown, white and baby blue at Michaels. Do you ladies know of any other stores that might have more colored sand options? I'm looking for aqua or tiffany blue sand. I already have white sand, and plan to use the maroma beach sand. Just want the third color to be a wedding color.

DeBooCL replied to becks's topic in Destination Wedding Planning Journal
Gifts for the unofficial bridesmaids – jewelry bags (made by my fabulous mom!) and starfish necklaces (from Kohls): Still not done… I bought the starfish necklaces from kohls as gifts for my friends throwing an at home shower for me and my MOH too. Love them. they are so cute and look very nice for the price. BTW. Love the jewelry bag your mom made. I'm still looking for something nice too put the starfish necklaces in before I give them as gifts. And love your thread, thanks for the helpful info. -

We have the same wedding date . I'm planning on taking centerpieces for 4 tables, programs, fans for ceremony OTT bags starfish place cards, and wine stoppers for reception favors. Hopefully, that's it... don't know how I'm going to get it all there yet. -

I actually ordered exactly 2 dozen 3-4 inch starfish for my 24 guests. about 6 are on the 3 inch side. I was planning to either use them as escort cards or place cards. I might want to order the 4-6 in ones now.. However, I think I might be ok if I use the 4'' ones as an escort card to the table, since I will only need about 15 cards if I put couples together. Do you know if you have escort cards and table numbers do you also need place cards at the table? Not sure what the proper etiquette is here. What do you guys think?
