Thanks girlies! Think I'll def order the gold w/ the flower to try too. K, I say go for it & enjoy! If nothing else, Kleinfelds is an experience so you'll have fun! And from what we've heard on here, they aren't necessarily gonna try to pressure you into something you can't afford. And, S, wow! What a day! You've gotta be dead on your feet. So have you figured out a style/styles you like? -
Sorry I changed my mind about you being MOH
KarenM replied to Lashawn's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Love the Jr MOH / co-MOH idea. It's obvious how much your friend means to you and you should include her! There's no reason you can't have them both in that position of honor! I have 3 girls in my bridal party (2 best friends & a sis-in-law) and basically consider all of them as MOH's, but haven't given anyone a title other than bridesmaid. I love them all so I couldn't just pick one! -

LOVE THEM!!!! And I think it's fab you got the espadrilles cuz you know you'll wear them again & again!! Great choice!!! I'm having the shoe dilemma now too. There are too many damn cute shoes out there & I don't really know what I want yet. I'm going barefoot on the beach for the ceremony and originally thought just nice flip flops for the reception, but then thought about it and I really want fun shoes. May end up barefoot if they hurt, but I want to at least start off dancing in heels. So far I've ordered these 2 pr & am waiting til they get here so I can try them w/ the dress. Willy Heel - Teal Satin, Chinese Laundry, $55.99, FREE 2nd Day Shipping! & these (in red). Even if I don't wear them for the wedding they were $23 and I may wear them for the boudoir shoot I'm doing around x-mas. hee hee Amazon.com: Luichiny Women's Duchess Sandal: Shoes thinking about these too Shoes, handbags: Your insider’s guide to sandals, dress shoes, boots, casual shoes, handbags and more for women, men and kids | Piperlime -

L, so you decided not to wear the bolero? That dress is gorgeous by itself - you def don't need anything extra! -
Very similar thing happened to me too! I didn't think I'd even like lace & I really didn't think I wanted a trumpet style. I initially thought beachy chiffon and almost went that route, but I tried on this dress & loved it! It is now in my closet & I keep trying it on. David's Bridal - Allover beaded lace trumpet gown with empire waist and cap sleeves.

Holly, this is your one shot so if you guys want ttd pics you owe it to yourselves to do it! You already have a separate dress for it so "trashing" a dress isn't even an issue (which was an incredible deal, btw). I bet FI's parents will end up loving the pics once they've seen them. How could they not? They're so unique & special! I understand how they could make your blood boil, but try to just ignore the comments. And if that doesn't work, just come on here & unload! keep up the good fight.

J, you're the best - thanks! Hope you have a fab time on the cruise! So envious!! L, I'll def look at your pics - thanks for the tip. I'd like to see it sort of as-is during the day. Where did you have your cocktail hour? (and where are the rest of you Dreamgirls having yours?) Are there different areas to choose from? I can't remember seeing anything about that. thanks chicas!

Those are beautiful! I love the locations you picked! And FI is so cute in his suit & trainers! -
I was actually a little surprised they sent him home, but he def was too in his head about everything. Who the hell wants to look like they have drumstick thighs? I thought the guy w/ sloppy shorts might be out cuz he wasn't good in either show. The girl who won had such a cute dress/coat. There were a lot of good ones this week! haven't watched the models show but I might next week. looks like it's just an extension of the show?

I don't know how breathable it'll be, but it is really light weight. There's no tulle/crinoline underneath so it's not scratchy. It's really pretty comfy & has a short train and I'm thinking of removing the satin in the train so it'll just be lace. Maybe go try it on to see if you like it? I love seeing all of your dresses, girls!! They're all so gorgeous! -
Congratulations!! Enjoy your honeymoon!

I'm not sure, but I found this info & maybe it'll help. Good luck!! From the Mexican embassy in Canada *Check section 4* Embajada de México en Canadá "Marrying another canadian citizen or a non -mexican in Mexico 1. Important information 2. Requirements 3. Legalization of documents to be submitted 4. Recognition of Mexican marriage certificate 1. Important information According to international law, a marriage performed in Mexico is valid in any other country unless the parties were deliberately evading restrictions imposed by their own national laws. Therefore, a Mexican marriage will be valid in Canada if there were no Canadian impediments. a) Only an officer of the Registro Civil (the Mexican equivalent of the Registrar General's Office) can legally perform a marriage ceremony. A religious wedding may be performed after presenting proof of a civil marriage (an authenticated or legalized certificate of the civil marriage must be presented as proof). c) Non-Mexicans are not subject to a residence requirement, but will have to identify themselves with their their passport (for some nationalities, a certified copy of a birth certificate and a photo identification card will suffice when travelling), and tourist card and/or visa (the document that shows their entry to Mexico). d) Marriages are performed for a small fee at the "Oficina del Registro Civil", but they may be performed elsewhere for an additional fee, which will be determined by the Registro Civil. There are "Oficinas del Registro Civil" in each city or small town in Mexico. When staying at a hotel, the address of the "Oficina del Registro Civil" can be obtained from hotel management. e) If a foreigner intends to marry a Mexican citizen, the Mexican National Migration Institute (Instituto Nacional de Migración) must grant a permit; processing of this permit takes approximately two weeks and the application must be submitted by the couple intending to marry or by the Mexican citizen. For more information on this matter, see the section entitled Marrying a Mexican Citizen in Mexico. f) In some States of the Republic divorced persons cannot marry in Mexico until one year after the divorce order has been issued by the judge, unless otherwise indicated in the divorce decree. g) Persons under 18 years of age cannot marry without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. 2. Requirements As marriage is a matter of local law, please consider that the following requirements generally apply to all 31 States of the Republic and the Federal District (hotel management or the civil registry office can provide you with specific requirements). Documents that must be presented to the Oficina del Registro Civil: a) A completed application form (provided at the local Civil Registry Office). An agreement prepared by the parties indicating whether their marriage will be contracted under the system of community or separate ownership of property. Mexican law states that marriage certificates must indicate the property system chosen by the couple. c) A certified copy of their birth certificates (long version) previously legalized by the Mexican Consular Office having jurisdiction over the region where the birth certificate was issued. d) In the case where one of the parties has previously been divorced, the couple must present a certified copy of the divorce decree legalized by the Mexican Consular Office having jurisdiction over the region where the divorce decree was issued (for some countries the apostille applies - see below) e) In the case where one of the parties was previously widowed, the couple must present a certified copy of the death certificate legalized by the Mexican Consular Office having jurisdiction over the region where the spouse died (for some countries the apostille applies - see below) f) A physician's certificate stating that according to the blood tests and thorax X-rays taken in Mexico, neither applicant suffers from any contagious disease. g) A statement from each of two qualified witnesses (over 18 years of age, who personally know the applicants and who must be present at the ceremony) swearing that the applicants do not have any legal impediment to marry. 3. Legalization of documents to be submitted (Apostille does not apply) 4. Recognition of your mexican marriage certificate Following the marriage, you should keep the original certificate (the one with your fingerprints) a certified copy will be available at the Oficina del Registro Civil. The original receipt and the marriage certificate are legal documents and will be recognized in Canada, unless your marriage in Mexico contravenes Canadian Law (ei. You were not legally entitled to marry in Canada). Some Canadian entities will accept the certificate without any other requirement but others, will request legalization by the Canadian Embassy or Consulate in Mexico. To legalize a marriage certificate issued in Mexico, follow the steps listed below: 1. The document must first be authenticated at the local government office (SecretarÃa de Gobierno) of the State where the marriage took place. 2. The document must then be stamped by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 3. Finally, the document must be presented to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico."

How great you girls (Jess & Kim) get to go scope out Dreams coming up! Jess, would you mind taking a peek at the las palmas terrace (& maybe a pic)? I'd like to see what that area looks like. Also, I think we'll be having welcome happy hours at Dreams on a few nights and I'm not sure if we should just pick one bar to meet everyone at or rotate bars. I know Lauren said the lobby bar or sports bar were the best. Would you be able to take a pic or describe the bars? Thanks so much!

I'm not sure what I'd categorize mine as. I thought I'd end up w/ a beachy chiffon dress, but never loved any of them. And like you, K, like all my dresses are flowy w/ empire waists so maybe that's why I didn't feel as special in them. I ended up w/ what I was first attracted to though - lace in a sheath/trumpet style. So maybe Mexico-beachy? I dunno. David's Bridal - Allover beaded lace trumpet gown with empire waist and cap sleeves. Oh, and K, I also just posted a response on your NY brides thread about TTD.
