Thanks for posting your list! I had a similar, though less detailed, one from doing this at a friend's wedding but I can't find it anywhere.

Spanx vs Victoria Secret body shapers- POLL
KarenM replied to Jacqueline's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I've tried Spanx too and, like Karla, I've liked the mid-thigh ones. -
awesome Jill! Can't wait to see what you've put together! oh, & Jess, I never answered your question -- so my program/s will be done about summer of 2011 and we want to move back around then I think. I get what you mean about winters there; pretty damn brutal and it's hard to beat the year-round sunny & 75 of SD! Paul used to live in Ocean Beach & I still can't believe he moved to Chicago for me! must've been love yeah, $15 a chair is ridiculous, but they're so pretty. Still, I can't justify it. So tonight we decided on getting Mexican Talavera tiles to use as our placecards. I ordered some samples to see how we like them. I'm hoping I can write names & tables on the back calligraphy-style. I've been wanting something like this for a while but didn't know exactly what it was I wanted 'til I saw the idea on the Etsy thread. I'm so excited to try & make them though - it'll be waaay cheaper.

Nice, Jill, thanks!! That's cool, Jess! There is so much to know about ins and people really need help figuring it all out & having it explained to them! So, I'm out here for school; in a nurse practitioner program & getting my doctorate at the same time. I must be nuts. My DNP (doctor of nursing practice) classes start up on Tues and I'm a wee bit nervous about that. For the wedding packages (ie Dreams Ultimate) do we not get any centerpieces at all? For some reason I thought they put candles on the tables, but I saw on the price list Jessica posted that there are decor packages we have to purchase to include candles, colored napkins, etc. (?) Guess I need to email Rebeca. Oh, another question (from the price list) - does the DJ cost $590 for 3 hours? It can't be $590 per hour for 3 hours, can it

oooh, yay! I hope you get it!!

Oh and I met a groom (we crashed his bottle service) who was getting married the same day is me in Mexico! Crazy, huh? Autumn, glad I'm not the only one! - the sad thing is I work with my parents Monday through Friday! So it is not like they are not going to see me. Wow, you must've had an amazing time! Sounds like so much fun!! And how wonderful for your family to go on "one last" vacation. I think it's sweet. fingers crossed you'll have sunny skies. My family is nuts too, but they already had to go through separation anxiety when I moved out to NY last year. We want to move back to Chicago eventually though so they'll get us back & then it'll be P's parents who lose out. What kind of work do you do w/ your parents? I worked in my dad's medical office for many years as an office manager. I loved it (most of the time) cuz I feel like I got to know him in a completely new way and I really cherish that. thanks for posting the pricelist, Jessica. Aside from being nicer, does anyone know what the tiffany chairs look like? I was also assuming I'd just use what's included.

I've actually never heard of a tradition where the bride picks out the groom's ring without him. We went together. FI sort of knew what he liked (hammered metal) but he really wanted me with him to see it. Gorgeous rings Karla! They look perfect together. -

nice. a cheap little $7500 dress. who the hell are they kidding? they need to get over themselves, but unfortunately there will always be crazy brides spending that much $ on a dress. You wear it once people! I dunno, I'm pragmatic so even if I had that much to spend on a dress I just couldn't allow myself to do it. I'd rather go on vacation or something. So, I can't wait to see your dress! How fun! What does it look like? full? sheath? bedazzled? And I'm really glad you had such a great experience at Provonias. Good customer service can totally make or break the day. -

And when he said I love you back to me, it was just so casual from him even though I knew he meant it. So when I got back home and had to spill to my sister (who hears everything from me!), I told her it was so casual that I felt like I'd actually said something like "I have blue shoes" and he said "I have blue shoes too"... just all in that very matter of fact kind of way that you wouldn't associate with telling someone you love them for the first time!! Haha so now, for any given reason or if we're trying not to sound too lovey around other people, then we say 'blue shoes' instead of I love you. It's super cheesy but it all just went down so oddly and I thought it was kind of hysterical too... so it just stuck!! I LOVE IT! I don't think it's super sappy at all, just super cute! Carry on blue shoesing it, carry on!!

Hiya girls! Thanks! That's exactly what I decided too! I initially was just going to let them pick out whatever, but thought it'd be nice for them to have jewelry they'd def wear again and I really enjoyed picking out what "fit" each of them. I also thought that it'd be cute if they all sort of went together but don't match (hence the flower off to the side on all of them) So here are all the sellers (sorry, I should've posted that along with each pic) 1st necklace (orange & turqouise) by Ample Goddess Jewelry lv2cr8 on Etsy - Designer gemstone jewelry plus size and otherwise Earrings from Yarrow Jewelry YarrowJewelry on Etsy - Handcrafted Jewelry by Janet Braisted 2nd necklace (orange crystal w/ yellow flower) from RachelleD. I had to buy this one b/c the seller had named it the same name as the friend I was thinking of buying it for. And she was super nice and added a pair of matching earrings for my bm and a "something blue" pair for me! How great! Plus she boxed them up with a cute ribbon/tie. RachelleD on Etsy - Welcome to the Romantic Garden:) earrings by Heaven Awaits HeavenAwaits on Etsy - SimpLe ELegance; with a Wild Imagination Of Gemstones 3rd necklace (green glass beads) from Elle Custom Jewelry. This one came boxed up w/ a pretty ribbon. ellejewels on Etsy - Elle Custom Jewelry earrings by Kate Tracton Designs ktracton on Etsy - Kate Tracton Designs on Etsy, Hand Beaded Jewelry Hair flowers from Butterfly Enchantress ButterflyEnchantress on Etsy - Handcrafted Vintage-Inspired Bridal Hair Accessories? orange ring from Vintage Inspired Jewelry. She also added cute handmade gift tags & the ring came in a tiny adorable silk pouch w/ jeweled handle. Gingeroni1 on Etsy - Vintage Inspired Jewelry last necklace (aqua & peach) by Madrin Designs laktjohnson on Etsy - MadrinDesigns-Experience Fashion Jewelry...Affordably The quality on the things I've received has been really good & I'm happy with all of the sellers so far. I'm still waiting on all the earrings, the turquoise necklace & hair flowers, but I'm sure I'll love them too.

my hair flowers a ring I love & a necklace I thought would go to one of the bm's but I found something else I like better so I guess I'll just hold onto it I love seeing what everyone's bought! Such great ideas! I keep looking at all of the beautiful clutch purses they have but I can't decide on which fabrics for the bm's. Hell, I hardly made it through choosing necklaces. Too many choices!! Oh, and those Mexican tiles are exactly what I've been looking for as place cards!

I LOVE etsy! Thanks for starting this thread Andi! So here's what I've bought so far: Necklaces & earrings for the 3 bm's (all wearing different colored dresses). I spent way too long scouring the entire site for pieces that reflect each girls' personality. I found the necklaces first, ordered them, and then went back & searched again for earrings I thought would work.

I just bought a pair of electric blue heels myself or I'd jump at yours.

Ha! pots & pans?! seriously. it's like those time-share sellers at resorts that are relentless & just don't get why you don't want to hand over an arm & a leg to spend time at their "free" condo. Good luck today! Can't wait to hear about your day! -

The only one I know of that doesn't need appts is RK. And Slap, I'm sorry you had such a crappy time of it hunting down the bridal stores over there! How frustrating! Unfortunately, I do think the "free" whatevers are just scams. I've gotten a phone call saying I won a free trip somewhere and one about winning photography & two mailings about free cruises/hotel stays and I think they're all BS. I think I filled out one too many wedding site questionnaires. -
Congratulations girls! You guys are bdw rockstars!
