  1. The Perfect Palette is a great resource! There are TONS of inspirations boards to look at. Scroll down a little & on the left you can search by color. http://theperfectpalette.blogspot.com/ good luck deciding!
  2. Super cute!! Love the color & she will sooo appreciate your thoughtfulness!
  3. Hmm, well I ordered a 9 (European size 39) and they were a little small but the sizing on the seller's ebay site suggests ordering a 39 if you wear 8.5-9. Seems a little odd. I usually wear a 9, sometimes 9.5, & I'm really hoping the 40 will fit cuz I just love these. She doesn't seem to have an 8.5 on her site - just a 38 which fits sizes 7.5-8. It depends on how your foot is (narrow, wide?) but I would probably order the 39 (8.5-9) and if that doesn't work try exchanging it for the 38, 7.5-8. RED SOLE GLAMOR BLUE SATIN BIG PLEATED BOW PUMPS SHOE 8 - eBay (item 270467208764 end time Oct-18-09 04:20:36 PDT) sorry if that's a little convoluted! btw, we're date twins.
  4. Have you found what you're looking for yet, Nicole? 5. Very nice, Elizabeth! Thanks for all the great pics! Makes me sooo happy we went with multicolored dresses!
  6. Great job with everything!! You look gorgeous in your dress! I too love your sandals w/ the starfish. I've seen them on zappos & endless and I keep going back to visit them. I think I like the orange ones better than the heels with your welcome dinner dress. super cute & tropical!!
  7. So I received my beautiful blue shoes Thurs and they're too small!! Ugh! I emailed the seller & she had one left in 9.5 so she put them aside for me & I sent mine back yesterday to swap out. It's hard buying shoes online! They're also a little darker than pictured. In the pics they look sort of royal blue, but they're almost navy in person. But they're still gorgeous & I think they'll be wearable, at least for part of the night!
  8. dislike the smell of Xmas trees?
  9. Welcome Sarah! I'm totally biased here too cuz we chose Dreams PV. And you can't beat the sunsets!! Maybe check out the threads for both areas and def contact a travel agent. They'll be able to answer your questions & help you find a great resort. Good luck!
  10. Super cute & subtle!! Perfect if blue isn't one of your colors.
  11. Congrats & welcome to the forum! Yep, another Dreams bride here. Def check out the PV threads - they're so helpful with planning. If you're considering a reception at one of the resorts they usually have packages that would include things like flowers (well at least some of them). Good luck with everything & don't hesitate to ask us for help, opinions, whatever!
  12. Ours were $202 for 45 invites, with response cards & pre-addressed envelopes for both. I added more stuff (pocket-fold jacket, cardstock to make another insert & silver sand dollar charm) so I think they ended up costing about $6 total, but the invites themselves were about $4.5 each. I don't think the printing costs you were quoted sound out of line, especially with the 2 inserts.
  13. Wow, Kim! Thanks for all the great info! So glad to hear you're happy w/ choosing Dreams - it's always nice to hear how great it is there! You guys must be getting super excited!! We were thinking of using an outside dj as well - was the extra $1000 a fee for using outside vendors or was that the cost of the dj?
  14. I love this!!! FI & I have been wanting a dog for a while, but I really think we should wait 'til after the wedding. Not fair to get a new puppy & then be gone for a long time! But seeing all these beautiful pups makes me want one sooooo bad!!

If you need someone to talk to I'm all ears Oh, Jess, I'm so sorry you feel that way! That's tough. I am absolutely sure you look gorgeous in your dress though! And on your big day with your hair, makeup, flowers & adorable yellow shoes you will be stunning! I have no idea how this is going to look on me.... Yikes..... I will call her back next week... If you see a thread next week " my dress makes me look like puff wheat" THAT"S ME!!!! I really hope that you are pleasantly surprised when you go next week! It's hard when you order a dress months in advance & then have to wait to try it on, and in your case you didn't ever get to see it on! But, I bet it turns out lovely! Just go & get it over with so you know either way and then report back with pictures!! Good luck!
  16. ha! I think that would've been even better than w/ Pam's mom!
  17. I love this idea too! We're having the girls wear the same dress in 3 different colors & then the guys are wearing the same guayabera shirt with different colored embroidery down the front. So each guy's embroidery will match the girl they're lined-up with. Here are the dresses couldn't find a good pic of a girl in the yellow and the guys' shirts

For a splash of color, I was going to have a colored bouquet (like the one below) and then tie in that color with same flowers on the cake. I figure this red/burgundy color will look good with ivory/grey and black and we are getting married in december. I also like the white rose pic below with a little added to it... what do you girls think? Jill, I love them both! But, I think the splash of red will look really beautiful so I think I'd go with that.
  19. I loved it! Nothing like a torn scrotum, a bm getting kicked in the face & awkward sex talk around grandma to make people laugh!
  20. Great pics Maggie!! You look terrific! And, I have that same polka-dot outfit from VS! Got it a couple months ago for the BD shoot and I love it!! I'll be doing mine w/ my bm's in Chicago over xmas break but we're using Vavoom Pinups.
