I stalk Fer's blog all the time, but seeing & hearing about your experience makes me soooooo excited to be having Fer as our photog in May! Yay for the rockstar photographer!!

Wow Autumn, you're so organized! I love it! I'll have to remember your packing tips in May. That's a tough call about the camera. I've always wanted a really nice camera to take cool architectural & landscape shots (that we could then blow up & frame) and if I had one I think I'd want to bring it. But I also understand the potential risks of bringing it. If you knew that you wanted to carve out a day to go exploring & get great pics then I'd say bring it (just keep it locked up in a suitcase the rest of the time). But, you guys should talk about it to decide if that's on your busy list of things to do in PV.

hahahahaha! Morgan, you're too funny! The Monique Lhuillier Claire was the dress that inspired me to want lace. Unfortunately I think it's older & I couldn't find it anywhere. Used Monique Lhuillier Wedding Dress Claire, Size 4 Anyway, I ended up with my much-more-affordable version from DB & I love it. Of course, now seeing that gorgeous flamenco-inspired number above I may have to reconsider. You know, I think the bridal mags are overrated. I bought one, like 3 months after we got engaged, and I didn't like 1 dress in it. I did much better searching the internet to get ideas. Are you in the city? I went to RK bridal & they were really helpful.

Oh, Karen, I'm so sorry you're going through this. You don't deserve this & it's not fair that your FI kept this from you. I can only imagine how hurt & upset you are, but I agree that you should take a step back, breathe deeply & then try to have a calm talk with him. These are questions I would be wondering about so I could get to the bottom of what happened - & maybe you already know the answers (obviously I don't expect you to give details here, but just stuff to sort through together). What was it that he owed the $ from? Was it from before you were together or while you've been dating? Is this the first time this has happened (him owing a major debt)? I would be worried about a gambling addiction personally so I think it's important to find out what happened b/c if that is the problem he should seek help for that. Equally important is to find out why he didn't tell you. You two are about to be married and I know how much being honest & open means to you. He probably was ashamed & trying to protect you from this, but there is no room for that in a marriage and I hope this experience teaches him that. You need to be able to trust each other which requires being honest, including about your faults & the things you're ashamed of. I know no one can tell you what to do, but if you love this man (& I know you do) you both owe it to yourselves to try & work this through. Every couple struggles. There will always be a bump in the road somewhere & I think it's how we work through those together that really strengthens relationships. It's good he brought you some flowers but I hope he's willing to have a long-ass open talk (or talks) with you! Oh, & I also think you were wise to not tell your family. I've done that in the past & it just ends up bad. People don't need to know all your business. Lots of hugs to you, K!

You could wear boyshorts & a bra or tank top. I really like the idea of jeans & a sexy bra too. Is FI wearing a tie for the wedding? You could maybe use that too, as long as it doesn't get wet. Or just bikini bottoms with a ton of beaded necklaces covering your chest? Yep, Lisa, the dress & the hair flower are def too big! You go girl!! That's great that she'll be able to do all that in a day or so! Lucky lucky girl! And I don't think it'll look weird having a flower on the dress with the ones you're carrying. You'll only have your flowers for some pics & the beginning & end of the ceremony. If you're really worried, maybe try it on for people there & grab some flowers to see what it looks like together and get their opinions. From what I've seen in your pics, I really like the flower plus once the dress fits you I think it'll look better!
