I was thinking about going on a Tuesday to be there one day early, but then I felt like it would be kind of lame to go to work just one day on Monday and then leave Tuesday. We plan to have some activities for guests planned Wed-Sun, but maybe we should change the travel days to Tuesday-Saturday. Any thoughts? Hi suzanne, something to maybe consider whilst still in the planning stages is if its cheaper to travel on a particular day or at a particular time of day, your TA should be able to confirm. I also think jerzygirl makes a good point about not having too much time to get sunburnt / tan lines before the big day.
  2. So you met me.....LOL! This is fab and so so true. Had a crappy day yesterday after realising I put on 6lbs, this is just what i needed.
  3. a real piss off : current dress size
  4. Thanks for the info.. I HATE THE GYM! This sounds perfect for lazy sunday mornings
  5. I didnt know they made chairs, gonna check out amazon after... My physio got me into using the fit ball for my chronic back prob. She said just sitting on the ball will help develop my core muscles to strengthen and support my back. The pain also moves into my hips and I have felt an improvement since starting my ball exercises. Some of the exercises are just sitting on it so im pretty sure that with prolonged use as a chair it will make a difference, not sure if its a difference you will see rather than just feel. Maybe you could get the ball for now and use it for some extra exercises in your lunch break, im assuming you couldn't do this with the chair!

I will def be a repeat offender. Wow 2.5 hours well done you....my body would still have been feeling it come my wedding day LOL! That would have finished me off for sure, im more of a gentle stroll kinda girl.
  8. Did the 40 min walk to work in the sunshine this morning for the first time in ages, feeling pretty smug with myself. Doing our hours Salsa dance class tonight in preparation for our first dance. The sun is shining (which is a big deal over here) Im feeling good.

  11. Congratulations, your pictures are amazing, she really captured the love and joy of the day, you both looked stunning! Cant wait to read your review. Whereabouts was your reception location? it is just what we are looking for. Also are the tree's always lit up at night or did you request it? Thanks
  12. Congratulations, you looked beautiful. Glad you had a wonderful day. I just have a quick question, were there actually 5 weddings on the day you were supposed to meet the co-ordinator or do you think she meant she had 5 other appointments, I thought they now had a maximum of 2 weddings per day? 5 weddings on one day would be horrendous, I dont see how they would even work it? Thanks for your review, cant wait to see more pics.
  13. Congratulations Beth. Thanks for the review, you looked stunning. So glad you made the best of everything.

I'm thinking of downloading and bringing all of our own music ... but adding 1 hour of video. We are bringing our own photographer so I'm hoping they'll substitute that cost for something else ... maybe the sound system. We are getting married here first ... and I'm pretty sure my brother-in-law will "marry us" while were there ... so I wonder if I'll get any kind of credit for that? I'm also still deciding if I want any flowers on the arch ... so does anyone know if I get a credit if I go no flowers there? I'm just down to the wire and trying to fine-tune my budget. Any suggestions or info would be much appreciated. Thanks! Suzanne Hi Suzanne, As Beth and Sunbride have pointed out my understanding also is that they do not give credits for any aspects of your package that you do not use. Their policy is that the packages are set, this is why they also offer a bespoke service where you just pick and pay for the services you do want (most people add these services to the "free" package.) They will trade your photography on the day for a TTD session or Rehearsal photography session and I think that "sometimes" they will trade elements between the photography and video but I dont think you should expect this as its not their official policy. In my opinion they do seem to be getting stricter on costs, inclusions & trading services. For piece of mind I would double check with your WC. Have you considered the price difference between the free package and your initial choice? I do know that they are pretty good at changing your choice of package at the last minute to suit you. Good luck with the budget.

In the meantime, I will post some non pro pictures Congratulations, So glad to hear everything worked out despite it all being against you! You are a role model to us all with your positive energy and determination to allow nothing to affect your wonderful day, when I find myself stressing over the little things that really dont matter I'll remember to follow your example... Cant wait for the review.
