Pashmina Order
punkie569 replied to Loveisintheair's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Just received mine yesterday and I love them. Really impressed with the quality of them. Can't wait to the get the 2 I was missing from the supplier. Only wish I had gotten myself a few...lol I'm just sorry I missed loveisintheair before she left for her wedding. I hope she's having a great time! -

Trying to incorporate the bird of paradise. So thinking purple/orange/green. not sure if that will be okay. what u think? i like fuschia too. is four colors too many?? also trying to decide if i have bridesmaids should they wear all the same color or different colors? any input would be appreciated =) I think you made a great decision. The only reason we didn't end up getting married there was because we wanted an adults only resort. Our biggest complaint with GRP was that we paid a lot to upgrade to the Platinum because of the extra amenities which included a small private pool. Well there was a group of families staying there as well and they seemed to think it was appropriate for their kids to take up the whole pool instead of going to one of the bigger pools with kids. That is obviously not the resorts fault but just some inconsiderate people. We didn't want to deal with that again so thats why we went with EDR. I love all those colours. I think as long as they all coordinate with each other having all 4 wouldn't be so bad. You could also make 2 your main choices and have accents with the others if you wanted to tone it down? How many bridesmaids are you having? If you say had 3 then pick 3 of those colours and put them each in a colour. I love bridal parties that are unique. They don't have to be matchy just coordinated with each other.

We got black with silver font and I love them. I'm sure some people might have issues with plastic shot glasses but I only see the good. I will be sending Crystal some pics later and I can send you some as well if you'd like. Just PM your email addy and I'll send them out when I get home. Also you asked about discounts and Amanda did give us the printing on both sides for free. We didn't need 50 steins but her boss won't break up the cases so that is why she offered us that for free. She's really easy to work with and she will do whatever she can to make this easy on you. Best customer service I've encountered in a very long time. -
**OOT bags w/ pics**

Your bags look great. Can't wait to see the finished product. That is so funny about the grooms name being first. I started out putting mine first but we agreed, along with everyone else, that it sounded/looked better having his name first. I don't think he really cared either way though...lol -

I also bought from this seller and they were great! (Are you working with Amanda? She was beyond amazing) We got steins for the wedding and shot glasses for the AHR and we were so happy with how they turned out. For the shot glasses we only had 1 side printed since they were so small but we did get both sides done for our steins. I worried it would be too much but they look awesome. It's nice that no matter how our guest sets them down they'll be able to see our logo. So I say go for it! (if you want to see pics of ours PM me and I can email you) I also noticed you are in Canada so be prepared to pay customs. Ours came in 2 boxes and it was just over $20 when the UPS guy came. Just thought I'd mention it -

We saw a few weddings take place and they did a great job. We also met with the wedding coordinator just to talk about their packages and she was so helpful. I hope she's still there and you get to work with her. My only suggestion is to bring bug spray. They have a lagoon near the beach and we got bites everytime we went for dinner. I saw this poor girl whose whole back was covered in bites. All I thought was "ohh I hope she's not getting married!". Looking forward to hearing about your planning. Welcome to all the other new November brides!!!

And I hear ya on the prices.. I feel like some of it is just crazy, but we have NO choice. I mean, a $300 dollar an hour DJ.. yikes! I need to move to Mexico and become a DJ, haha! Thanks Ashlynn. I guess I just see all these beautiful bright colours and wonder if I made the right choice. But I'm always second guessing myself and if I tried to pick something different I'd still question it...lol $300 an hour for a DJ?? Wow is he spinning gold for you at the same time? That is crazy. We decided to go the ipod route and just pay for the system. They wanted $250 just for that and speakers but I managed to get them down to $150. While music is important to us we had to keep our budget in check someway. But we aren't having a reception at the resort either, only a cocktail party on the beach after the ceremony. I'm sure we can manage the music for 2 hours

Thanks for posting this. I've also bought a few things from brides on here and luckily I have had no problems. I guess it helps that I've only bought a few small things but it's good to know if I wanted anything big.

I love everyones colour choices. Mine seem so boring now...lol...I also love that your grooms actually have an opinion on them. Mine really doesn't care and shows zero interest when I talk wedding talk. I mean I guess it's nice that I can do whatever I want but it'd be nice to have his feedback too. Afterall it is OUR wedding and not just mine. I can't believe that Dreams makes you pay that much more for extra people. As if all those extra people booking didn't bring their resort tons of money. This is where it really bugs me to have a destination wedding. The resorts have the most ridiculous charges when you are already giving their resort lots of money and possibly repeat business. And of course us brides can do nothing but accept it and pay. I can't wait to see some of your TTD pics. I really wanted to do this but we won't have enough time with the photographer and I have now decided to wear my dress for the whole evening. If I bought another dress for the wedding I wasn't allowed to buy one for the AHR. Priorities, right?

Glad to be of some help. I hope it works out for you. I really love the frame and I'm sure you will too. I haven't glued the glass in place yet but I'm sure it will be pretty easy to glue 2 pieces of glass in place. I think the hardest part will be getting the glue

Finally some November brides!!! woohooo We are booked at the El Dorado Royale and our wedding date is November 11th. I'm so excited and while I wish it would hurry and get here I'm glad I still have time to get things done. We'll be staying at the resort from Nov 7th-14th. We are only having our immediate family and a few close friends(16 guests) coming so we won't be doing our honeymoon at that time. We see it as a fun family vacation and want to spend as much time as possible with everyone. We are hoping to get away for a few days once we get back. We are lucky that there are lots of beautiful places near us that are perfect for a honeymoon. Like the above poster said I'm looking forward to getting to know you girls. I've been waiting for a November group to pop up for awhile now. Guess I started my planning too early...lol So what colours did everyone go with? I'm going with ivory, black and touches of red. I've always loved that combo and my dress is ivory with black detailing so everything will match well me

I bought mine from Urbane Gift & Decor and the shipping wasn't bad at all. I think in total the frame with shipping was just under $40. This is the one I bought. Urbane Online Store-StoreFront Product Detail Page Also after I bought it if I signed up with their facebook group they would send a rebate. I got 10% off just by joining the group. It was great. This was by far the best price I could find for Canada. Good luck!

I'm sorry you are having troubles with your bridal party. This is why I don't have one. Lucky for me my sister/friends understood and don't mind helping if they can. I really can't believe that your future SIL's won't help just because they aren't in the bridal party. That is beyond petty. When my future SIL got married she asked her FH's nieces who were all under 16 to be her bridal party. Of course they couldn't help at all and their moms ended up doing most things they should have helped with. If she had asked me for help I would have gladly helped her, wedding party or not. Do you have any other friends that can help out but won't make you feel guilty for not making them BMs? I know I would step up to help a friend planning a wedding. As if you don't have enough stress! Maybe other family members are willing to help? I'm sure it will work out in the end even if you have to do everything yourself. Good luck!

Glad to hear we finally got some numbers back. I'll send my payment today. I was just wondering did you figure out which number was the ivory/creme colour? I'm worried about getting the wrong ones. And thanks again for doing this loveisintheair! -
Two "Wedding Crasher" buttons for sale
punkie569 replied to poohshek's topic in Buy / Sell / Trade Archives
Those are really cute and I just might have a few crashers myself. You plan a wedding on the beach and you never know who is going to come out of the woodwork. Are you willing to ship to Canada? -
We just received our order of beer steins and shot glasses from a seller on ebay. I HIGHLY recommend them. They were great to work with and their customer service was above and beyond. I worked with Amanda and she was amazing. I don't know how to post a picture on here but if you want to see what we ordered I will glady send you a picture. You just have to order at least 50 but looks like you might need that anyway. This is their ebay store eBay Store on eBay Canada: Search results for Factory 21 Promotional Items.

I'll hope since they shouldn't be heavy it won't be too much to ship. I've gotten things from other BDW brides and it hasn't been bad. As long as you don't mind shipping it as a gift so I don't get hit with customs I'd muchly appreciate it I'll PM you with my numbers! Thanks so much for doing this! Also latoya1908 I like that idea of putting that saying on the rum as well. Not dorky at all. It's hard to come up with things for boys. Here I keep buying things for girls and their poor guys are going to have nothing in the OOT bags for themselves...lol -

I've been going back on forth on whether or not I want pashminas but I keep coming back to yes. Do I need to order a certain amount to be a part of this order? I probably only need 10 but maybe 12. Also will shipping them to Canada be a problem? Thanks! -
