I've been tortured with this as well. At first I didn't want anything but my FI did and he was thinking a full out reception. But my whole reasoning for wanting to go away was to get away from all that. So I think we are going to have a small, appies only reception. And like you we are getting married in November so the BBQ thing wasn't really an option. The only thing I worry about is having something so close to Christmas so we might wait until January to have it. Hope you can figure something out -
I'm not getting married for 22 months and I'm already starting the planning. Although at this early stage I'm not sure where to start myself. We mainly choose to set a date so early so everyone has plently of time to save up. Good luck with your planning!

Hi Everyone! I was just introduced to this forum by a friend who is also planning a DW. I'm feeling abit lost as we just made it official this week. I'm hoping this forum helps ease my worries and gives me some useful info. We've set the date for Nov 10/2010 and are leaning towards having it at the Bahia Principe Ambar. We stayed at the Bahia Principe Punta Cana for our first vacation and had a good time and when we heard about the new adults only section we wanted to try it out. If anyone has any info on weddings at the Bahia Principe I'd love to hear from you.
