OMG, this is the best thread ever! How funny! For him: always hits the snooze button turns the tv from one station to another, never seeing one full program, procrastinator- our wedding is 1 month away he still hasnt gotten his guys together to get their groomsmen gear (WTF) monday night poker-its like having a giant frat party in your garage once a week for me: watching sci fi movies- he hates it! nagging him (usually about procrastinating and poker night) that I make him pay for the maid (she comes tues after mon nite poker) i don't understand the importance of poker (whatever) neat freak i cant pull my truck out of the garage (that is if unless he wants me to hit his truck) I am sure I am leaving quite a few things out that bug him about me!!1

Just an odd fact that I saw in a local advertisement they are now offering steam ship rides to Catalina Islan that are supposed to remind you of the old style cruises on steam ships. Crystal, LMAO! My something new is my dress, something old and borrowed is my great, great grandmother's brooch (who was a slave) that I am wearing on my dress. There is a long history and story that goes along with the brooch the first gift to my great, great grandma from the slave owner. (who eventually married her) It is very precious to our family. My something blue is a garter that I will absloutely will not let FI grab with his teeth.

I was shocked to see the good christian girl grabbin Jason's goods underwater while he was in the tub! I'm waiting to see what happens with them. I kinda miss the old Lafayette. The new one is a bit dry and kinda sad. Tara is just plain stupid for letting those folks move in Sookie's house. I liked this episode better than last weeks, more action.

I don't know if this is an option for you, but I bought champagne glasses from the dollar store. I called at least 10 local engravers and got the best price. Because of the economy I was able to get a great deal on the engraving. On side a palm tree on the other our names and Jamaica 2009. They came out cute and much cheaper than anything I found online. There is a website Discountmugs.com that has the shot glasses that you can order. I do not recall the price. Good luck!

I got a flu shot this year as a precaution. Why do I have the flu? I am miserable and have been in bed for a few days. We leave for Jamaica in a month and I still have so much to do and I don't feel like doing anything but staying in bed. Now I am a week behind with work.... I went to the dr and he gave me antibiotics and a cough syrup with codeine. (I have this horrible cough that really hurts.) I still feel lousy. I drank a hot toddy last night before bed so I got a couple hrs of sleep. Next year, no flu shot for me!!!!

Jennie, I think that you need to maybe get away from your situation for a weekend ( a spa trip, or just a quick getaway) so that you can spend some quality alone time and think about how you feel. If you are a spiritual person, pray and if not, meditate and do some soul searching. This is about you and how you feel, not about anyone else, not really. I think that often, we as women think that once we enter a man's life he will change. Often men do not change. Behavior can be modified, and it sounds like your guy has truly modified his behavior, which is great. But only you can answer if he has changed because of your love and your relationship. After you have taken some time for yourself and with yourself, you will be able to sit down with your guy and have a long talk and make sure that you are both going down the same road. I wish you the best of luck and I am sure it will work out the way it is supposed to. There are so many kind and thoughtful women on this site. Just know that we all have your back no matter what you decide.

I went to yoga yesterday morning and I am going to go today too. I have a cold and am really tired but the yoga actually makes me feel better. It is just hard getting motivated to go....however since I leave for Jamaica in a month I guess I better get my fat motivated!!

I woke up in the meddlw of the night thinking, " How am I going to get all this crap to Jamaica?" Now I am up probably for the rest of the night....I have so much stuff to take for OOT bags and for the wedding itself I will need friends to take some of the stuff to the island for me. I am a bit of a control freak and I wish I could just take it all myself but with my dress as a carry on and with the FI and I both taking two bags I still need a little help. I just finished making my luggage tags and I am about to send them out along with my pretravel brochure next week. I am trying to get a list together of when everyone's flight arrives. I used VP to make my programs and I am going to spruce them up with a ribbon or some bling. I ordered them and am just waiting for their arrival. I pick up my favors tomorrow. I had champagne glasses engraved with a palm tree, Jamaica 2009, The Robinson wedding. I will put togs on with our logo and bubble wrap them this weekend. I have gift cards from Victoria's secret which should take care of my beach wear and honeymoon stuff. I will do my online shopping this weekend too. FI is going to the casino this weekend to play in a poker tournament and I decided to stay home to get some of these projects done. I am feeling totalling overwhelmed!! I cannot believe that in exactly one month from today I will be in Jamaica!

OMG is so good to hear that I am not the only one dealing with this..I have one friend who is bringing two other couples...WTF!!! I am also hosting a welcome BBQ that I have to pay for on a per person basis. Last week my ex asked if he could come because he is good friends with my male cousin....NOT!!! There should be some sort of rule, no exes at the wedding. I hope you are able to put a stop to the ex coming to your event. That really sucks! Savannah, I have stayed in a villa in Puerto Morelos and the beaches there are gorgeous. It seemed like a lot of the villas were actually occupied by their owners so it definately was not a touristy type of place. It is a great place to relax and enjoy your friends. I went with a group of friends and we still talk about that vacation. If the price is right, I say go for it!

I had to search to find this thread again!! In the new edition of the Destination wedding guide that is included with the Bridal Guide there is an article on Catalina Weddings. The Wrigley Mansion is now called the Inn on Mt. Ada. They also mention the Hotel Metropole as another possible wedding location. Hope this helps.

Spoiled, so sorry to hear about your Aunt. Now you will have an angel looking down at you on your special day.... I am using Floral Fantasies too! Their prices are reasonable and I have heard good things about them from other brides! They are making my wedding arch as well as the bouquets and reception flowers. Gracie, this is really sad. Maybe you can have your ring made and then sell the old ring to some other lucky bride on this site!!! I had my ring made at a small local jeweler. Because the economy is so tough right now, I am sure that you can find someone who will gladly make you a ring in a couple of weeks Good luck! I am sure it will all work out!

I am going to have place cards so that my guests can put a name with a face. We have guests coming from as far away as Australia so we want everyone to feel comfortable. I have never met some of Fi's family members that are going to attend the wedding. It will make it a lot easier if there is a name in front of a strange face! We are going to assign tables but not seats. We are pointing our guests to a table but once they reach the tables they are on their own! If all of my guests knew one another, I would not bother to have place cards...
