Ok when it comes to drinks I will drink whatever is readily available. (rum in the islands and tequila in Mexico) But if we are talking preference I am a dirty martini drinker (vodka martini) and a margarita on the rocks kinda girl. ( If u make it a cadillac margarita I would be even happier!) All of these sound good because I gave up drinking hard alcohol for lent.I like wine but it doesn't do the trick after a hard day at the office. You can bet that I will be enjoying a vodka martini next week!!

Wanted: crystal monogram "R" cake topper
purrfected replied to purrfected's topic in Buy / Sell / Trade Archives
Wow Andi you did a great job on your monogram! I love it. I will definately check out my local Jo Anns and get the plain mongram and give it my own form of bling! I am not very crafty, but I am going to give this a try! Thanks so much for the info and link to the thread. Tammy -
I don't consider myself "religious" but I do love God. I enjoy going to church and feel like I am missing out if I don't go for a while. I am a non-denominational christian, but that is me. I think that you should have the freedom to believe whatever you choose. The fact that we have choices is what makes our country so great! People have been persecuted for years over this very subject. I think that we have a loving God and whether or not you choose to believe in a higher power is a personal choice and either way we should not try to force our beliefs onto other people. As someone who attends a church regularly, I think is is wrong of your co worker to try to force his or her religion on you while you are at work. It is her personal choice to practice whatever her religion is and it really has no place in the workplace! If someone is a Christian others should be able to tell by the way you live your life not by what comes out of your mouth. If you are so interested in sharing your faith with others there are much better ways of doing so, other than begging for money from your co workers. Just my opinion.....

$1 flip flops and sombreros
purrfected replied to Jacilynda's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Thanks, I will be sure to check it out. I actually need a few things from Target so now I have an excuse to go! -
How funny is this thread?? I just checked in to see who crashes during the day and who stays up. Island Bride--when do you sleep?? I am still at work..): but decided to take a break and see what I've missed. I love the fact that at night I can look at all the threads without the phone ringing or some other distraction. I cannot even imagine what I am going to do after the wedding. I guess I will have to keep reliving the joy through other brides! I have met the nicest people! Tonight I plan on learning how to post pics so I can put a pic in my siggy and take pics of my ring, dress, shoes and OOT bags. Ok, I am going to go back to work.....maybe.... I will talk to all of you ladies of the night later!! Tammy
-
Bev, I will definately post pics of the puppy. She is going to be in my siggy once I can get her to sit still for a pic! I did not know you were a late night girl! I am actually a little embarrassed to be on the site sometimes in the middle of the night. I think people are thinking what, does that girl have no life or what? As a side note when I went downstairs this morning what was at the bottom of the stairs? Yes, the cups! They are great! Apparently the FI got them yesterday and just remembered this morning before he left for work. I am so excited. Well, I am off to a day of work but I will of course check back in and I will talk to my late night pals later! Have a great day everyone! Tammy

The cups are here!!!!
purrfected replied to budgetjamaicabride's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
YAAAYYY!! I got my cups! They are so cute. Perfect for my OOT bags. They came yesterday but the FI had "put them away" for me and forgot to give them to me until this morning. He left them at the bottom of the stairs to find. What a great morning surprize! Bev, thanks again for all of your hard work. I so appreciate it! I have a puppy (five month old rott) and she is having the best time with the box and paper! I think she may be the only one happier than I am about the fact that the cups came! Tammy -
HELP Grand Palladium Brides!!!!
purrfected replied to lmdels's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
Hi Ladies, I am not a GP bride but I saw this great special and thought it might help aout some last minute wedding travelers to the wedding. (There is always a last minute straggler or two it seems). The deal is air and hotel at either the GP or GP Lady h. This is the link: Caribbean Vacations and Caribbean Vacation Specials | Travelzoo. I hope this helps someone! Tammy -
Ok ladies, now I really feel crazy. You guys are all up in the middle of the night because you have jobs that require you to keep these kinds of hours. What is my excuse? Just plain nuts!! I still have to get up early tomorrow morning go to yoga, get ready for work, walk my dog (5 month old rottweiler puppy whose sole mission in life is to chew anything that belongs to me!!) and commute in to work. MarieSam I live in the valley and work in BevHills so you know how much traffic I have to face! Lucky for me my time is a bit flexible so I usually go in around 11/noonish or so.

Bev, they look great! I am curious. what does the front of the reply post card look like and what does it say? Where do you find the time to get all of this wedding stuff completed and mail out 500 cups to your BDW friends? You must be like me, up in the middle of the night getting stuff done! Great job on the invites and congrats on getting them finished!!! Tammy

Yes, it is about 3 am in the morning and FI is peacefully sleeping, while I am up scouring this site like a fiend! I was up looking for exactly what info to include in the brochures for my OOT bags. I want to do brochures that give info on Jamaica, the resort, our plans, little known facts about us, etc. I also am trying to write out a blurb on what to pack and a don't forget to...list. Everytime I think I am getting ahead of the game, I think of something else I haven't done. And work, I basically am working in between posts!! Thankfully I am in and out of the office all day so I am forced to spend a great deal of my day actually working. If not, I would be glued to this site or on Vista Print working on one of my many projects. I am so excited to get back to Jamaica. I haven't been in 3 yrs. Waaaayyy too long. I usually stay in Ocho Rios or MB which is why I chose Negril for my wedding. Something different.. Are you going on a honeymoon, and if so where
-
Hey Christie, I just thought people were probably in a time zone where it wasn't the middle of the night like it is here. I have trouble sleeping when I have a lot going on at work, so.....I am up checking out my favorite site at 2 in the morning. I was so tired when I went to bed tonight but now I am up and full of energy. I seem to get my best ideas and make decisions on things I want for the wedding in the middle of the night. Ok, so I am a bit of a night time shopper too! I am often on ebay trying to bid on stuff at 3 am too. How are the wedding plans coming?? Are you completely obsessed with this site the way I am? Tammy

I'm getting married to an idiot....
purrfected replied to saltocoach's topic in Just venting or funnies
I am so relieved to hear that I am not the only one dealing with the whole motorcycle thing! First of all, I love bikes. The FI's Harley is beautiful, but there are times when I wonder exactly what the pecking order is. I swear sometimes that bike comes before me. We live in CA, so unfortunately for me he gets to ride year round. I never thought I would be competing with an inanimate object!!!! -
We are getting married in Negril and after the wedding we are leaving for Ocho Rios for a honeymoon. We think we are going to stay at The Blue House in OR. They have a program where you can do some local volunteer work with the people in the community. (It is important to us to be able to give something back to the actual natives of the island.) We will stay a day or two after the wedding to hang out with our guests then we are off to have some "alone" time. Maybe start working on having a family....

How about using some free vista print postcards to send to everyone for the AHR? I don't even have a date for the AHR. So when we pick a date I am just going to order some Vista print post cards ( i already started designing them). The postcards will announce that we are married and invite guests over for a celebration. Are the postcards tacky for an AHR? We don't want anyone to bring gifts. I think if we were expecting gifts we might have to use something more formal, right??

Misti took great pics for me too! It was so nice of her. That's so cool that the pics were taken at your resort!!
