I feel so bad for you. You know the old saying make lemonade out of lemons. I really think that's what you should try to do. Since everyone already has pre paid airfare and hotel, why not plan another event? You can do it 1 yr from now with basically the same set up. You can renew your vows, celebrate one wonderful year of marriage and still let your friends and family see you in your wedding dress. I know that none of that will make you feel better right now but at least you can keep it in mind while you are in Mexico, especially if you are not able to get a refund for some of the things that you have already paid for. I was excited to find this thread. I love the mystery and horror type books the most, but I can definately sit down with a good romance or self help book. I reading "Hold tight" by Harlan Coben right now. I just discovered his books a year or so ago, and am now almost caught up to the current book. I am a big Dean Koontz fan and read all of his books. I am excited to try the book that I keep hearing about, "Something Blue." That is next on the list. Tammy

Ayita, I love your ideas. The blending of the languages and cultures is great! I am so glad everything worked out with your venue, I was so sad by your post about the problems you were having with the resort. I am so happy that it has all worked out! Those bags are great! The only thing that saves me from feeling sad that I already bought my bags is that I only paid $1.00 each for them at a local dollar store. And let's face it another dollar saved on anything, feels great righ about now! Great find!

Hey Chris, I am sorry to hear that you argued with your mom. That is never fun. I am doing a TTD session in my real wedding dress. You only get to wear it once for a few hours, why not have fun and get all the use out of it you can? I was going to buy a used one on Ebay to use but I really like my dress and I want pics in it. If it will save an arguement buy a cheap one on ebay or look for a cheapie one in your area. I found one in our local Pennysaver for $50 but I had already pretty much made my mind up to use the real one. The majority of the brides on this site who used the real dress said that it was able to be dry cleaned and turned out just fine. Bottom line, I think that this is your time to be a princess. This is the one time in your life where the only people who need to be pleased are you and your FI. I think we have to be sensitive to others, but really you need to have the freedom to make this your event. Anyway, after the wedding when your mom sees the pics she will more than likely be happy that you did a TTD. If it will save an argument buy a cheapie to use. That is one way to keep the peace.

Hi, I hope everyone has a great week! I have been working so much that I haven't really been able to get my BDW fixes lately. I think I was having withdrawal symptoms. I need at least a couple hours a day. I usually find time to take a peak or two at work, but lately....well ladies I was just checking in with the after hours crew! Tammy
