ladies, as far as the resort photographer, please i hope no one takes offense. But every wedding pictures i saw that were made by a resort photographer(that were not upgraded)is a garbage, i would want to say i wouldnt want them for free! im kind of thinking about not even having the photograher to be there, so he is not in a way. And i think the by resort not allowing us to switch it for another service and use the credit toward something else is stupid... Outise photographers that do a nice job: Blue Lagoon, HDC.... and they have 1 photographer come out, so u only pay one vendor fee of 150. good luck

@christdeluca, yes resort charges $150 per person for the outside vendor fee, unless ur photographers are staying at the hotel as your guests

i got my girls coach passport covers, would it be appropriate to give it to them at the shower 2mnth prior to the wedding?what do u ladies think?

i think Karina J, is a wonderful photographer, i wanted to use her for our wedding but she was not available during that month. So we are using K. Nova. she is awesome, a little $$ but this is my splurge! also keep in mind K.Nova is a 2ppl deal, its her and her husband Rob, not sure abt Karina

@djmags thank you sooo much for sharing this info and ur wonderful pictures. Seems like blue is a very popular color for DW, thats what im doing. Im doing pool blue dresses for the girls and bringing chair sashes and runners etc.. We are staying at OCean view Master suite, would u suggest to still do an upgrade? Where was ur welcome gathering at?how did u let ur guest know about the time and place?almost everyone is flying in together with us...so thats a good thing. as far as the coctail hour appetizers, i know this is the time for the formal pic for the bridal party, do they set up the table somewhere separate for the appts for the bridal party while we are doing pictures? another thing for all of you ladies:how does the whole tipping thing at wedding works?who gets tipped?if they do.how much is a good number? what did u do for food options?did u like it? can u please post any other pic of ur wedding decor? As far as the service being slow, i really dont care, we are on vacation!not in the rush! but it does gets annoying... i will just warn all my guest(most of them havent been in DR)that service is slowwwwww, get over it! Few questions:since u did end up having a large group, could u tell me if u paid pp for the cake and the champagne toast and appetizer?i only have 35ppl comming, and didnt think that i would need to upgrade the size for the cake, they can just cut it smaller. Can u post pic of the set up pls?mine is at castaways, since i booked it over a year ago...i have some ideas for the set up, i want to bring paper lanters...etc...and have them hang it. but i would love to see your pictures also another question: do the preffered rooms are totally different from the regular?and does the preffered service is even exist?i hear mixed opinion...and how far away from each other are they located? Sadly to say but im on the 3rd WC now, i started out with Claribel then Christina and now Silvia, and my wedding is 12wks from today:) im starting to panic I am doing divine package, that covers 25 ppl. i will have 35 ppl attending plus 3kids. I know they are charging 50$pp(tax included, stupid fee in DR) but what i wasnt aware that it doesnt include the chair rental(3$pp) then a champagne toast(i think $4)and the coctail hour and alcohol....all this is separate i think...up untill today i was under impression, if i pay 50$pp additional then it included everything that the part of 25ppl did..ughhh. i am bringing reall touch bouqets, so i asked if the resort can subsitute my bouqet and instead make buttoniers for guys with those flowers, wil see what they say... i also asked about the food tasting, and was told no...but i will push it...interesting to say that they asked if i wanted to upgrade any food?hmm really?no food tasting, but want me to upgrade... i have emailed spa about 3wks ago to find out when should i be making appts for the girls etc...heard nothing back... thats my story so far...

yes, it is 1500$ to use woodden walkway(i think it has something to do with insurance liability)just FYI they dont really advertise this cost for this walkway...surprise surprise Does anyone knows if i booked my date(long time ago)the prices for food options were a bit less, i still have a print out, will they honor it? also i sent email to Juana(concierge service)telling her how dissapointed i am, how long i got no reply from any WC that i sent an email after Christina has left... i an still waiting...
