@Mayrose, congrats on your recent wedding!what a lovely pictures,thanks for sharing with us!i agree with you as far as beeing flexible to make changes, i think things will fall in to place, im 2wks away from my day, and just cant wait! i wanted to ask you, did the planned timing went as planned, as far as the coctail hour and pictures time as scheduled?what time does it starts getting dark there outside?im worried about the light for the pictures... thanks

@suzzymf. Originally i was going with the divine, but then i did my math, DjMannia, im also bringing my own real touch flower bouqets. So i have no use of the photographer, and the flowers that come in the package, cause i want all the same flowers...so im paying for things individually, i have 37-39ppl attending...and to me it seems like a better deal, so will see, i may change my mind...Im also debating about the the fire dancers.... I asked Silvia how much will the gazebo set up with the fabric that included in the divine package will cost?she said 350$, so i will just do this and pay for the platinum food menu per person etc.. i also will bring paper lanterns to be hang, maybe 25-30, WC said it will be $75 which is fine... so will see...

Hey ladies, like i said earlier its exactly a month left till we left for DR! few good things happened so far: our airline tickets on JB went from 900$(which is the highest) to 500$ but most were booked already so we got $$$ JB credit, i would much rather have the cash, so i can use it towards the wedding, but am happy with over a 1000$ JB credit, LOL -my dress is picked up , wohooo, its all wrinkly though, i got it from dresylime designer knock off in china, and very happy with it. Im debating weather or not i should have it steamed it before i leave for DR, or have it done there, i guess im just nervous how good of a job they will do down there, -Silvia my WC has contacted me via email, that she needs me to complete the wedding-planner form with all the details. -I actually called her today and she was very nice and informative. I have 2 photographers outside from the resort who are from Punta Cana, and i would need to pay $300 vendor fee, which i made piece with. BUT you can pay resort daily rate to have them stay there, and if its a good promotion you can get a good deal, and instead pay to put them up in the resort instead of paying the vendor fee! In my case getting a room at the resort is costing same as a vendor fee, so its a wash! So i will pay for the room for them, so they can arrive, put all there stuff and not feel like gypsy with their stuff. -One thing im a little confused about is, photographers will be seated at the table with kids near by so they can just get up quickly and shoot away, DO I need to order meal for them?if they are staying at the resort?what is the protocol? - i called the resort spa to find out about hair/make up. It is 59$ for the hair (wash not included) and $40 for the make up , same price for bride and bridesmaids I think this is it for now,

ladies, im 4 weeks away now. what are you all using for the table numbers?u would think with the amount weddings they do there, they would have table numbers, so we have less things to brtring with u:)

ok ladies, so i just had my bridal shower!and it was awesome!i did do small registry at Bed Bath and Beyond for big things that i really need. and honefund. keep in mind i did hear some comments that my registry is stupid and there is nothing to get...BUT at the end I ended up doing really well! I got all the things we wanted, checks and giftcards, so i think we did really well! and got everything we wanted...so good luck ladies, and also i think honefund is a great way to make ppl aware u have everything and u would find a better use for the $

I guess where im getting really confused is in the menu it said drinks included and then in a separate section it said private bar options(premium. international) so does the liquor that included, do they have bartenders there just for the wedding reception?tnx

Im glad you all had great time, you looked amazing, love your dress, and thank you sooo much for coming back and sharing all the info, it is greatly appreciated. few question: for the food, did you go with the buffet?how many ppl u had come? was the food good?what made you go with the buffet, rather then a plated meal. For each additional person after 25ppl that you paid per person is alcohol part of of the price or is it 12$pp separate?was there enough waiters? Thank you sooo much!

@donnahewit. do u have an excell sheet of extras breakdown?if not let me know i will email it to u. im kind of second guessing my self abt doing the complimentary package, for 600$ u get (guitarist, carpeted walkway, massage, some armature video/photo, hair and make up)to me it looks like a wash...and the only thing they actually giving away in hopes to upsell is video/photo. i will have 3 outside vendors(450$) DjMannia $$ ***** Nova Photographer $$$ would also like to do the fire dancers, but debating as far as reception is only 3hrs and i dont want to take the time away from dancing... and i will bring my paper lanters that i will have WC to hang for the undisclosed amount of price(since they cant giv me exact price number i will not need their room upgrade, since we already paid for ocean view master suite i finally heard back from Silvia(3wks later) i keep asking same question: "can u please tell me if you evenly subsitute my bridal bouqet and give me few boutoniers instead"(im bringing real touch bouqet, so have no use for their flowers, but can use corsage or boutoniere) but she keeps telling m my package doesnt come with bridesmaid bouqet...ughhh have you gotten any emails recently from WC with some answers?

ok my dear brides, i am in a serious help of some math brain! im trying to figure out if by not doing a divine package and going with complimentary one and upgrading is a wash?since i do not need the photographer and make up and hair services please help! I have 35 adults attending + 5kids, extra chair $3.50 p/p x 30(since 10incl)=105 cake $7 x 30 =210 champagne $4 x25(minus 5kids) =100 platinum coctail $15 x40 =600 dinner reception $50x35 =1750 dinner child $20x 5 =100 bar $15x35 =525 gazebo decor $200 Total=$3600(rounded) Not sure about the ceremonial table and carpeted walkway prices OR i can do divine package for $3000 (25ppl) and pay for the extra 15ppl cake $7x15=$105 champagne $4x 15=60 platinum coctail $15x 15=225 dinner reception$50x 10 =500 dinner child $20x 5= 100 bar $15 x 10 = 150 chair $3.50 x 15 =52.50 Total $1193+ $3000 divine package=$4200 rounded. Again i only calculated the # for the items that i must have, i know divine package comes with massages, romantic dinner, guitarist, hair,make up. so i guess my thought is if i didnt miss any numbers and miscelenious Does it worse $600?or not. what do you all dear brides think? @susanmike. i hear you about them not allowing to swap things... where did you see the $120 charge vendor fee? how many pp u have coming?i have 40ppl coming, and really dont need there hairdresser,make up, or photographer. i know divine pckg comes with the trio and some decor for the gazebo... i need to do the math and see the numbers difference, have anyone done it?
