Hey Taylor I'm also looking at end of '09 or early '10. Only -16 here!! I find that I am also 'over-researching' however I have found some great tips on this site!!! I am not much of a traveler however i was recently in Cancun and MayanR a few months ago for business and loved it there. I'm definitely leaning towards Mexico! Congratulations!

We are conteplating Dec 09 or summer of 2010! We have a few teachers in the fam who cannot take time off during the school year that we are trying to accomodate.

First off...Congratulations! I completely understand where you are coming from. I am also recently engaged and I'm having the hardest time settling on a date as I have a few teachers in the fam that will be coming and they cannot take time off during the school year. I dont plan on paying for any of the accomodations for my guests either, only the wedding festivities, etc. I hope they dont think that I will be I literally have spent the last week on this site reading over the # of forums and there is some great info!! I dont have any advice for you just yet but I'm interested in all the same questions you have! Unfortunately my FI has no travelling experience what so ever, the farthest he has been is to the U.S. so this will be an adventure! I also dont know how many guests to expect but I can anticipate that only half of who "say" they will be there will actually come because of the $$!. I am quoting 30 to 50. I do suggest searching in the forums under the resorts your most interested in, I can almost gaurantee there will be some great advice and $ discussed!

Hello fellow Canadian! Congratulations! I'm also looking for feedback on this resort. Looks like we are also looking around the same time frame however I'm looking the week between xmas and new years! Scared to see the price differences.... if you get and info, please share! LOL!

Thanks for the review.... the wedding pics look great. Do you have any pics for the resort as well? Did you get any grief from the guests having your wedding so close to the holidays? We are thinking of the same time frame for '09 and have not been getting good feedback?

Congratulations. Where abouts in Cancun?

Hi everyone, My name is Jenn. Andrew proposed in August 2008. We are very excited to have a DW preferably Dec 28 or 29th in 2009. Destination is still up in the air. Sooo many places to choose from its so overwhelming. I have to say though that these reviews are definitely helping me put an Y or N beside a few! Everyone keeps telling me that the dates we picked are going to be very expensive.... anyone out there that has recently married around the same time? I would love some feedback. We have to get married either Xmas holidays or March break as we have a number of teachers in the family. Thanks!
