  1. Im looking at 85-90 at 10:00 am!! WHEWWW!!! Thanks Tobi. How hot was it on your wedding day?
  2. We are trying to get the ceremony right in front of the beachfront hotel, so all the guests will have to do is walk down a couple of steps to get to the wedding site, which is great. As mentioned, I do think that I will be too excited to sleep and I definately am a morning person... I want 11 am but just scared that it will be HOT by the time we take our pictures on the beach right after ceremony.
  3. I'm getting married in August. The sun doesn't set until around 8 pm. my question is: Is 10-11 am too early/hot for a morning wedding, with cake and punch at 1-2 pm.? We are having an AHR so we don't want to have a BIG reception in Florida. I don't want to wait ALL DAY to get married, and would like for our guests to be able to enjoy themselves the rest of the day. I know many of you are having late afternoon weddings. Is there anyone who had an early ceremony?
  4. Got engaged on our 3 year anniv. will be married 3 days after 5th month anniversary!
  5. I'm doing both. On my STD's I put formal invitations to follow. I think it really just depends on what you want to do personally. I thought the invites would be nice souveneirs and also to remind guests, since I sent my STDs out almost two years EARLY!!! lol.
  6. Do it!! My fiance and I are thinking about doing it right after the wedding if we can afford it.. If not we will definately do it on our anniversary!!
  7. Any daytona beach brides? We're getting married in Daytona on August 7th, 2010. Does anyone know any good videographers/photographers near the area?
  8. I agree with them... You only get married once.. have your wedding where you want. You don't want to have any regrets about your big day.
  9. sent invites to 58 people, expecting only 35-40 which would be GREAT! We will see, we're still more than a year away...
  10. I'm sorry to hear that about your grandmother maybe not being able to attend....and I love my grandmother VERY much so I can relate. I'm grateful that my grandmother who is 65 is coming to my wedding. I hope you figure something out! Don't lose
  11. Thanks you guys! your definately right about not knowing what OOT bags were before joining. I had no idea. I have plenty of time to wait for sales and figure out what we can afford. Thanks for your advice.
  12. Welcome! your definately not too early! i'm already starting on my August 2010 wedding!!
  13. Thanks kayr! a lei is basically a necklace of flowers, usually used in Hawaii... I agree with you that my guests will be happy OOT bag or not, I guess it's just so easy to get caught up in all the great ideas on this board.
  14. Anyone? I'm just looking for an inexpensive alternative way to welcome guests?
  15. It's looking like I wont be able to afford any decent type of OOT bag We are on an extremely tight budget ($6,000) and don't think I can afford bags for 35-50 guests... Would it be ok if we just passed out some nice leis and a welcome book/letter for guests when they check into the hotel? We are hosting a welcome dinner as well, and will have fans as favors for the ceremony.. What do you think?

  17. I just wanted a morning wedding to avoid the heat of the sun, but by 10 am it will be hot anyway! we are only having a cake/punch reception so I didn't know what time of day would be appropriate. I would also love a sunset wedding...
  18. thanks you guys, funny how I never thought to just call them bridesmaids, I guess I thought they had to stand at the alter?!? This whole bridal party thing is so confusing. I can't make up my mind! Luckily we have plenty of time. thanks again for the ideas... I love the Leading Ladies title btw.
  19. What else can I call friends that won't be standing at the alter? I want me and hubby to be at the alter. I want a couple friends and siblings to maybe walk down the aisle but sit down during the ceremony, also maybe wear the same color, but not matchy outfits... any suggestions? has anyone had "honorary bridesmaids" instead if a true bridal party?
  20. Here's mine!! I made it today!! It's in my signiture! We finally decided on colors, Aqua, Lime, and Tangerine
  21. My fiance and I were thinking of having a mid morning wedding around 10 or 11 am. Is this too early? We're getting married in Florida and wanted to avoid the afternoon sun? Did anyone have an early wedding, how was it waking up sooo early to get ready?
