  1. Ok - I looked through all those, but I guess I need to work on my "bumping" skills. Thanks! )
  2. Hola Everybody! I seem to be having one heckuva time looking for (independent) vendor info as far as music is concerned, in the RM area. I am planning a small Catholic wedding in PDC next year, and would like to go without a WC if at all possible. We understand a little Spanish and my FH's mom is fluent, plus we aren't looking for a big shebang, so I don't really see the need. Can anyone please provide info for musicians in the PDC area that aren't outrageously expensive? I've seen quotes for $350+ for just 45 minutes - YIKES!
  3. Bienvenidos, Trish! This is an AWESOME website - you'll get a lot of info. I'm kinda torn between those places (and PV) myself (but leaning towards RM) - but like I said, this website alone will help out a lot. Buena Suerte and Happy Planning!
  4. I looked at Rafael Ibanez too, thanks to DallasAshli and Magda and my curiosity - WOW! Now if I could just look up his website so I can get his pricing! Sascha Gluck might be another one to consider also - very nice work from what I see on the website.
  5. hbr5515 - yes, keep me/us posted! I wish I could do a site visit myself but it's not in the budget (hence, the DW we are trying to plan!). Have a safe trip and let us know how it goes!
  6. WOW. As an aspiring photographer myself, I have to say his images are blowing me away! His Blogspot page alone is great! I may have to contact him, myself! Especially if he does such beautiful work for a reasonable price!
  7. OK, posting here as well in the hopes of also getting feedback. Their pricing seems phenomenal for the beautiful work they do! I've only communicated with them so far via e-mail but they seem really nice.

    Hola!

Hola and Felicitaciones! There's a lot of great info on the PV forum. I myself am looking for an English-speaking priest. I was told the La Paz church by the marina has an English speaking priest. The big beautiful church downtown (Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe) I heard is hard to get a hold of. But there's lots of info here. Good Luck!
  9. EmenGeeRoxx - Does Rosa at the chapel only speak Spanish? Well, this is a chance for me to hone my Spanish skills! I'm assuming the 4000 pesos is just for the chapel fee itself, since you're bringing your own deacon?
  10. Can anyone give information as far as church/priest fees for the Capilla? I'm thinking we don't need a WC - we just want a REALLY small ceremony and I think a WC is unnecessary for us - my FH's mom speaks Spanish. Thanks!
  11. Can anyone give information as far as church/priest fees for the Capilla? I'm thinking we don't need a WC - we just want a REALLY small ceremony and I think a WC is unnecessary for us - my FH's mom speaks Spanish. Thanks!
  12. Hola jmiranda, Yes, could you please provide me with the contact information for La Paz? I think I saw it posted somewhere here, but I can't seem to find it now. I did read that the priest there does definitely speak English and is a bit more flexible.
  13. Jess, I believe that church downtown is Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe - looks huge but beautiful!
  14. Isn't the Moon Palace in Cancun? Thanks, but we're looking for information for Catholic weddings (in English) in Puerto Vallarta.
  15. Hola everybody, I apologize if this is posted elsewhere, but I've done quite a bit of searching (on worktime, I might add) and just get a few bits of info here and there. We are in Michigan and are planning an intimate Catholic wedding in Mexico early 2010. I was looking at RM and am now researching PV. However, I seem to have more trouble getting a straight answer from PV WC's. Do any of the PV Catholic churches conduct the wedding ceremony in English? The one WC who's replied so far says they dont' "think" any of the churches (Guadalupe, La Paz, etc.) would. We both speak a little Spanish but I'm not sure if it's enough to carry us through a wedding. ) I'd be happy to brush up before our trip (study, attend Spanish mass here in MI), but still...... I'd really appreciate your help and advice. <Sigh> a destination wedding is only "stress-free" if you're not Catholic, it seems! Muchas gracias!
  16. hbr5515 and jmiranda, I tried sending a PM but I'm having problems with it. Are you both using coordinators? hbr5515 - will Guadalupe church conduct your wedding in English? I got a reply back from a WC telling me she "doesn't think" they would. I'd love to get your feedback. Gracias!
  17. Oh, I should probably mention to all that I was looking to get married at the Capilla Nuestra Senora del Carmen on 5th Ave. in PDC, which I understand has A/C, is English-speaking and right by the beach, which is why I was wondering about the beaches on PDC. As Mariesam mentioned, I guess it depends on where on the beach you go. Perhaps I should contact wedding photographers as well and get some input from them?
  18. Mariesam, Wow, that is quite a wealth of information! Salamat! ) What part of the PI are you from? Thanks again for the info - it helps a lot!
  19. Hola everybody, This might be a silly question but some reviews I've read elsewhere made me wonder (and start to worry). We are planning a small DW in Mexico and was wondering if anyone who's traveled/gotten married there recently could let me know how the beaches are. My understanding is Cancun's beaches are washed up thanks to hurricanes - just would like "real" feedback if PDC/Cozumel area has those problems too. The whole point of our DW is to be married in a Catholic ceremony but really close to the beach (and if you know Michigan that's hard to come by!). Muchas gracias for any feedback! ) Your Business is Freedom!
  20. To EmenGeeRoxx, The one I'm referring to is the chapel (air-conditioned!) on 5th Ave, and right by the beach. It's a perfect compromise to having a Catholic wedding and having it by sand and ocean. I believe the other one is more downtown (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and is a church.
  21. Hola! I'm in the researching phase and looking for reputable (independent) wedding planners that service the Playa del Carmen area. We are not planning on going the AI route. I have been in contact with Ajua Weddings and Caribbean Blue weddings - any feedback on these or any others would be appreciated! P.S. We are planning an intimate Catholic ceremony, hopefully at the Capilla Nuestra Senora del Carmen on(?) 5th Ave in Playa. Thanks for any help!
  22. Hi everybody! I'm in Michigan (brrrrrr). Date is not set but we are looking at 2010. We are looking at Mexico primarily. I have gathered quite a bit of info on this site so far - but I'm assuming it's the same for everyone in the U.S., that the only ceremony in Mexico recognized as legal would be the civil one? (We are Catholic and would like to have a Catholic ceremony) My understanding is we'd have to do both a civil and Catholic one? Thanks for any input!
