Ok-- don't hate me but I went to a DW this fall as the "date" of one of my girlfriends. At 1st I felt very uncomfortable intruding on a wedding where I did not know the bride or groom and I addressed these concerns with my friend. She talked w/the bride & was told to bring me along (I even made her offer to the bride that I would be fine on my own for the "wedding activities" but the bride insisted that I attend). They had a wedding of about 50 people and just like other poster have said most of the time my friend and I were on our own. We went to the welcome dinner and the wedding but that was it-- there was a lot of downtime without events. My friend would've been miserable by herself & we had a great time during the off-time. I also must say that it was the most outstanding wedding I've ever been to and completely the inspiration for my own DW. I think that a lot of times we may think that we are going to have more people in attendance at a DW when in reality there are going to be a lot less & personally I believe that the more the merrier. I will welcome any guest of ours who wants to bring someone we don't know and embrace them as if they are friends. That's my 2-cents for what it's worth.

Hey-- I just realized that I should've included some more information about what happened at the last event. Here is a copy of what was posted for the January event: "great opportunity offered by three forum members -- Tlseege, TammyB & Maura! ************ Alright ladies, mark your calendars for January 17th and 18th! Faber Photography, llc is teaming up with TammyB Photography, llc and MH Photography to provide the ultimate photography marathon in beautiful Chicago! Saturday will feature a sexy boudoir session at a posh hotel in downtown Chicago. Each woman will receive up to an hour photo session and then 2 fun, flirty, tasteful boudoir photos from each of the THREE photographers! Now for the best part… the photo session is FREE, well, for the first 9 women who sign up it is! The only cost to participate is splitting the hotel room. Which means if we get 9 women, and book an awesome hotel room for $400, it will only cost each one of you $45! But wait, it gets better! For $30 more you can have your makeup professionally done at the hotel so that you have those gorgeous smokin’ eyes. Since there was such an overwhelming interest following the January BDW Chicago photo shoot I'm starting this thread to find out how many people would be willing to sign up for a late Spring/early Summer Chicago BD shoot. Please respond to this thread if you are seriously interested so we can get an idea for Tiseege, TammyB, and Maura. Hopefully, with a good solid list we can convince these three talented ladies to come back to Chicago for a 2nd fun BD marathon! How lucky would we be?!!!! Thanks so much!
