MrsMartin, I LOVE your brochure!! Would you be able to post it here/email it so that I may see it as a template? I'm not very good with creating documents and it'd be great to have the brochure format with such a perfect background all set up! Looks fabulous Kim
  2. Gorgeous! You're buying a separate dress for the TTD? You could use this one for both!
  3. My fiance went on a family vacation to Aruba and said that the Riu Palace was AMAZING. He's trying to convince me to do our wedding there now!

I'd like to see the options and can help you pick some out!
  6. I wouldn't keep tanning, it'll likely just get worse and a bad rash can take weeks to clear up. It's possible that you've become sensitive to the UV light. You said you're scared to try the spray-tan/mystic tan. I say GO FOR IT, give it a try. You've still got plenty of time before your wedding that it'll be long gone in plenty of time if you don't like it. On the other hand, you may love it, and it'll reduce your stress! Ask for the medium level (level 2?) and if you like the results you can go again in a few days a second time to darken it (still with a level 2). Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!
  7. Kathy, you're lucky that you're figuring all this stuff out NOW and not the day before your wedding!! I would try to return it if you aren't happy with it. My favorite sunless tanning lotion is by St. Tropez. I've seen it at Sephora if you have that store. It made me the tannest I've ever been, and it was totally natural too!! If you're still stained or streaky, try scrubbing/exfoliating with a loofah and it'll fade quickly. The other suggestions sound good too!
  8. I'm really light skinned and occasionally use sunless tanning lotions. I avoid putting in on my elbows/knees/toes/hands and make sure to scrub reallllllly well in between your fingers with soap right after you apply it to prevent it from soaking in. Definitely don't rub it in between your fingers!
  9. Hi Jeni! I'm in pharmacy school at UC, live in Clifton I hear Cinci has a great Bridal District... we'll have to let each other know when all the shows are coming up! This website is awesome, it's like having a ton of big sisters giving you advice!!
  10. In regards to the 5K wedding, I think the all-inclusive resort seems like a great idea. The ceremony/reception packages at RIU are free for a basic package and up to $2,500 for an extravagant one. If your families can cover your flight and stay at the resort that will really cut your costs. I'm in the process of picking which Riu resort I like the best, there are so many to pick from....
  11. How are you supposed to transport all the items for your OOT bags to your destination Bottles of sunscreen are pretty heavy...
  12. I would think 1 bag per couple or 1 bag per single guest.... if it's a couple just stuff it extra well!

  14. Did anyone get a Group Discount? Did you get it through RIU or through a TA? The RIU website says they offer one if everyone arrives/leaves on the same dates, but they don't say how much the discount is. Thanks for posting, everyone
  15. This is a great thread, please keep posting!!!! I like RIU but i'm having a hard time choosing which location to go to. We want one of the "palace" level hotels, not outrageously expensive... Any advice?
  16. Hi everyone! I'm Kim, 25, from Cincinnati. I got engaged in September and my fiance, Drew, and I have been scoping out beachy locations. My favorite picks so far are the all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean: possibly RIU Palace Riviera Maya! I've heard Turks and Caicos has the best beaches but it is more expensive to get there. I'll keep doing research before I make a decision, this website seems incredibly helpful!! We've got April 10, 2010 in mind, I look forward to learning from all you guys and sharing in this together!!!
