I've always considered a cruise ship wedding... I'm actually going on a cruise March 22 out of Miami on Carnival. Will they have information to give me if it request it once I'm on the boat? Do you think they might offer me a tour of the wedding facilities if I ask nicely?!
My fiance doesn't want a role in most of the planning except INVITATIONS. He's kooky and insists on getting super fancy (ahem, $$$$) invitations to send out. I think this is a lousy place to splurge but since this is the one thing he wants to take care of I feel like I should let him do it. What do you guys think? Let him free and hope for the best?
I'd like to take a "site visit" to help decide between Dreams or Riu. Sounds like a nice weekend getaway to me! Did anyone else do this (a site visit to check out both resorts)?
Congrats!! I like the idea of getting a dress with a corsett back. Pick a date that works best for YOU, don't worry about the guests because you won't be able to please them all and it will only stress you out trying to do so.
Hi and Welcome! Look into the Riu resorts- with their wedding packages you pay for services (flowers, salon, etc) and not by # of guests, so an elaborate wedding may cost $2500, but you can bring 20 or 200 guests for the same price!
Welcome to the forum! Even if you don't need all the destination info on this forum you'll find TONS of great ideas for your wedding, no matter where it is. Enjoy!!
I would ONLY pay for someone's guest pass if:
1. You knowingly selected an Adults Only resort but there are several families with children you have invited (i'd pay for the family's day passes)
2. The guest has communicated to you that due to financial strain they are going to stay at a lesser expensive hotel
Don't give guests the option of making life more difficult for you!!
I guess I should have looked more closely that this was a Jamaica thread... I tried to request a 2010 date in Riviera Maya and they aren't booking yet, whoops!!
