Great idea to send your photographer the document ahead of time. Gives them time to plan it out and more time to SHOOT on the day of! I think your prices looked very reasonable. $175 seems good for the photographer and it was only $50 for the book? I'll have to check out the Blurb website!! I'd love to see what your actual book looks like, if you get a chance. Did the photographer fees include the rights to print your own photos? Good luck getting everything ready for flooooorida! Have a wonderful time!!

I saw your pics in your other thread and you already looked fabulous in it! Are you going to be able to keep it hidden from your fiance until the big day?! I know i'll have such a hard time with that!

Now the tough decisions.... White or Ivory? Buy it right this second or wait till the weekend? My FMIL was going to go with me to the bridal salon this weekend so I could show her the dress I'm in love with. Once I buy it (from Landry) I don't want to try on the real thing again because I don't want to get too picky with comparisons. Since you customized your order, Jacilynda, did you find it to be pretty true to the size you ordered? Not sure if I should pick a size to keep it simple or to customize my measurements. I will need it shortened for sure. I wonder if getting a corsett back will reduce the need to get the bust taken in, since I can just tighten it. Yaaaaaay!

RIU RM Palace Brides??
KimmyG replied to Jaime's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
I do like the idea of changing locations after the wedding. You can spend a few nights at the most extravagant hotel and not have to listen to all your guests complain about the price because they won't be there!! -
Ahhh this is the thread I've been searing for!!! Everyone who has ordered a knockoff dress can you please post the link to the site where you got it, and tell us if you'd recommend them? I have a specific dress I've been looking for and can't seem to find it (Paloma Blanca 3802). It's tough searching for a specific dress since the designer names/numbers aren't listed. I've flipped through maaaany pages so far and plan to keep looking!! Maybe one of you guys can point me in the right direction! I don't want to be "a Paloma bride" i want to be a beautiful bride who isn't broke because of the dress

What to bring to BD shoot?
KimmyG replied to Corvette79's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I think it's a good idea to bring printouts of photos you've seen and really like so you can recreate them or go for a similar style. Unique textured things look neat in photos, like a fuzzy blanket for you to lay on or wrap up in. -
What a wonderful photo! I saw your website/blog and I think you are very talented and have amazing style with photography!

The photog I was in contact with is Leah Stafford, just like MrsD09 mentioned above! I hear she's good (as mentioned above!) and she has boudoir experience, but her prices are about $300, not including the album... Leah Stafford Photography - Leah Stafford Photography I'd like to hear more about what you guys found

Ash and Erin- both of what you guys mentioned sounds GREAT. Do you have links to their websites so we can see their work? Ash- if we went with your photographer maybe we could all do the $350 package but have her bring the price down since there will be several of us. Does she have a studio in Kent or would she be willing to come to Columbus? We could do a sexy hotel room there maybe? I'll look for the website of the woman I was in contact with although your guys' offers are rather tempting...

Chloe- I like the first dress you posted. I love the delicate straps, the bow and the sexy corsett back. Tylersgirl- Love the flowers on your Maggie dress! You must be so excited to almost have it! Your AHR is darling too. -

I came across that same page a few days ago and decided against that specific one... she's asking for $1000 and by the time i do the sizing alterations i'd have spent almost the same as getting a new one. I've searched google, ebay and craigslist too! Chloe- I love Peridress and other similar websites. I was hoping to find my exact dress on one of these chinese sites because that way I'll know they have made it before. I'd be a little scared to have them make it off the photos I send them because I don't have any good close-up photos. It may still be worth it though, even if it's not exact. So you've heard good things about Peridress specifically? I'm practically sold already -
These are my favorites: ************************* He always leaves the seat up She leaves wet towels upon the floor The toothpaste has no lid on And he never shuts the door! She’s not that clean and tidy Though she may sometimes delude Leave your things out at your peril In a second they’ll have moved! She’s a very active person And she always wants to win Where as he likes lazy days She’ll still drag him to the gym! He romances her and dines her Home cooked dinners and the like He even knows her favourite food And cooks for her every night! She’s thoughtful when he looks at her A smile upon his face Will he look that good in 50 years When his dentures aren’t in place?! He says he loves her figure And her mental prowess too But when gravity takes her over Will she charm with her IQ? She says she loves his kindness And his patience is a must And of course she thinks he’s handsome Which in her eyes is a plus! They’re both not wholly perfect But who are we to judge He can be pig headed Where as she won’t even budge! All that said and done They love the time they spend together And I hope as I’m sure you do That this fine day will last forever. And you’ll enjoy the drink and food! He’ll be more than just her husband He’ll also be her friend And she’ll be more than just his wife She’ll sometimes drive him round the bend. This poem for xxxxxx and xxxx A married couple now Is a token of the love they share And the thought behind each vow. ***************************** I wanna Be Yours... I wanna be your vacuum cleaner breathing in your dust I wanna be your Ford Cortina I will never rust If you like your coffee hot let me be your coffee pot You call the shots I wanna be yours I wanna be your raincoat for those frequent rainy days I wanna be your dreamboat when you want to sail away Let me be your teddy bear take me with you anywhere I don’t care I wanna be yours I wanna be your electric meter I will not run out I wanna be the electric heater you’ll get cold without I wanna be your setting lotion hold your hair in deep devotion Deep as the deep Atlantic ocean that’s how deep is my devotion ************************** I may use one of these or hope to find something else that's funny/ sweet/ not too religious or sappy

Hey Ash, maybe we can get enough girls to put our own marathon together! I emailed with one photographer based in Akron (she's willing to travel), but I think her prices were a bit higher. We can try to negotiate with her, or keep searching. Where are you located? I'm in Cincinnati and I have a friend who would probably go in on it too, making it 3 of us so far!

Help with funny t-shirt saying!
KimmyG replied to Saraha's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
LOVE these!! Where else can we use the sayings other than shirts/hats? Maybe on the guest book? Have a saying, space for a photo, and let guests sign where they think appropriate! -
10/10/10 is a sunday...
KimmyG replied to bobbysgirl's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
Your other option is maybe you can do the legal part at home on 10/10/10 and count that as your wedding anniversary. Then do a symbolic ceremony on whatever day works best for you. -

I would totally buy a knock-off version from china if I found a site who makes it. -
RIU RM Palace Brides??
KimmyG replied to Jaime's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
I found a dress I LOVE, it's Paloma Blanca 3802. They wouldn't let me take pictures in it until after I pay for it, so I can't show you. I'm torn though, because it's nearly $2000 and that's more than I can spend on the dress. I was *hoping* to find a knock-off version of it but no luck so far. I've checked online to buy a used one but I can't find one in my size. Unless I get a nice check I'll have a hard time being able to buy the dress from the store. Sigh :*( -

We rented a car stayed at relatively inexpensive resort (Catalonia Riviera) and did site inspections for 4 days. I was able to see the places for what they really are. I had my heart set on Dreams but to me it wasnt all that. I decided on the Occidental Grand which was initially my last choice. So it pays to do a site inspecton before even setting a date Gina- did you see the Riu Palace Riviera Maya? What did you think? Obviously you liked the Occidental better, but I'd love to hear your thoughts. I wish I was able to do a site visit! I have to decide on a location without seeing it in person, ahh!!
