  1. Congrats, Andi!!! It looks so beautiful. So glad you had a great time!!
  2. Ohhh Erin, sorry to hear I think when she's older she'll be able to understand the situation. For now, she won't even know what she's missing if you don't tell her too much. I think your plans for the legal day sound great!

  4. Welcome! We have a ton of chicas planning for the riviera maya- check out the threads!
  5. I think it's definitely worth getting.... it's a purchase you'll never regrett getting it 10 years from now!
  6. The mirrored table, white fuzzy blanket and pearls photos are my favorite but they are all amaaaaaaaaaazing. You've got to be PUMPED!!!
  7. OMG Desiree, your photos are FABULOUS!!!!!! Did you end up going with the experienced photographer or the new one who was going to use you as the model? Was the chandalier actually there or photoshopped in They look so amazing. You rock! Can't wait to see the rest!
  8. I'd like to see the pics. It must be hard because you spent so much time putting it together but Maybe "fresh eyes" won't even notice that there's anything wrong with them?
  9. Landy Bridal never responded to my email asking if they could make my dress (San Patrick- Binefar). I found the dress I was looking for at Duosheng. I'm confused though because it only shows photos of the dress and doesn't have any information about price or ordering it! It's not from 2009, maybe they don't make it anymore What do you guys think? ʱÃÂ×îȨÃþµÄʱÉÃÆ·ÅÆ·þÊÎ
  10. I think your STDs can include information about both (even if it's as simple as "details to follow"). Although it gives people an "easy out" I don't think it'll deter any of the people who were really planning to go in the first place.
  11. I'm also planning on wearing my hair down. I'm hoping we can scope out which direction the wind blows ahead of time so I can face into the wind during the ceremony, so my hair is sexy blowing behind me and not into my face!
  12. I loved your photos! How did you do the wording on your invitations to let your guests know to wear all white??
  13. If there's a family-friendly resort close by I would invite and encourage your dad and stepfamily to come on this trip and stay there. Perhaps they can hire a babysitter for the 13 year old for the night and the rest of the fam can come to the wedding. To make it up to your stepbro offer to take him and his brother on an excursion to do something cool. Think that might smooth things over with everyone?
  14. I don't have any advice but I wanted to wish you good luck, Erin!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly for you guys on Friday.

  16. Great question. I'd love to hear peoples responses, especially those that had a wedding at Riu (since you're a Riu bride too, Cheryl!) Which wedding package did you get (Classic, Royal, Caprice)? Did you order extra flowers? Mariachi Band? Cocktail Hour appetizers?
  17. Katie it's BEAUTIFUL!! I love the lace. Can't wait to see pictures of YOU wearing it!
  18. Are you having programs at the ceremony? You could include a special thank you to them in the program. I wouldn't worry about a material gift for them before the wedding, giving them a photo album afterwords would be perfect. The most special gift I've seen pre-wedding was an embroidered hanky (with a poem, the date...) if that's something your parents may appreciate.
  19. I love the idea of a photobooth/backdrop setup with fun props (sombrero, etc). I think the invitations will set the tone so if you want it fun and casual then make sure your invitations reflect that.
  20. Thanks for the responses! Anyone have any luck trying to do this at the Riu? I haven't officially picked a place yet so it may or may not change, I will look at the suggestions above!
  21. I feel like I'm there with you. My friendships have changed so much over the last few years too. I don't have a solid group of "Sex and the City" girlfriends, maybe that'll come later in life? In the meantime, I'm going to have 3 cousins be my bridesmaids even though they live scattered around (none within driving distance of me) so they won't be doing anything to help with the wedding. I even went DRESS SHOPPING all by myself. (it wasn't so bad!) As far as engagement party/bridal shower/bachelorette party, I was thinking about skipping all of them. I don't need a "me party" to know who loves me. Real friends, guys or girls... as few as they are, will be there for you when you need them and that's enough for me.
  22. Ohhh I wish I could join in, but I don't have the foggiest idea of how many guests we'll have. If there's round three 6 months from now, count me in
  23. I've seen some beautiful pics of girls who had their reception outside on the grass or sand. There were round tables, a dance floor and dj, their own bar outside... Which resorts do this? I've been looking at Riu for my wedding but I know they don't offer this. They let you have your reception at one of two restaraunt options. If you know any resorts or remember seeing pics with the outdoor reception please share!!! Gracias!
