  1. I think the pink dress was more "beachy" but they're both beautiful!
  2. I think it's a good idea to see a doctor. He may prescribe something but he can also give you recommendations for a counselor/therapist. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you address everything head on and get to the root of it and get through it. It may be covered under insurance too. Hugs!!
  3. Congrats!!!! You did a great job with everything. Have fuuuuuuun

  5. It seems like everyone (guests) wants all the information, asap. With that in mind I'm thinking skip STDs, send out invites about 9 months in advance, and then a reminder card/brochure as it gets closer. We all want to know WHO is going to come and I don't see any reason to hold onto the invites when we're all dying to get RSVPs back!
  6. I don't think mine will fit together either and I don't like the look of an oddly shaped wedding band (just to fit around the e-ring) so I will probably just pick out a separate band that I like and not necessarily wear them together? I'm not sure what your profession is, but I'm going to be a pharmacist and would be more comfortable not wearing serious bling to work every day. I want a band that looks amazing all by itself.
  7. Riu posted their rates for April 2010... it's not pretty I'm feeling a bit unsure about our wedding date too, it's the week after Easter. gahhhh. Should we change it? Is there a fee?
  8. Does anyone know if Misti is still offering this? I emailed her and got an auto-response saying that she has a wedding coming up!!
  9. Wow Savannah, sorry to hear about the complications. Has the hematoma gone down? I'm pretty confident you're past the tough stuff (esp the thyroid ablation) and from here forward it's just a game of finding the perfect balance of thyroid level. As far as scarring, I have a friend who had also had his thyroid removed (it was cancerous) and you can't even see his scar by looking right at him, only when he lifts his chin up. No worries about the wedding, you prob won't be able to see a thing, esp since it's a year from now!
  10. We reserved our wedding date at the resort before any pricing was available. I wanted to wait but many of our possible dates were already booked and i didn't want to risk being too late!
  11. We're doing 5pm in april in riviera maya. It'll be less hot, we'll be able to take sunset photos AND I figured most of the guests would only be there for a few days... wanted them to have the daytime to enjoy the beach then the evening to party the night away!
  12. I went to a conference there last year! When we had some free time we took a cab to Hotel del Coronado.... beautiful free beach behind the hotel! The hotel itself is beautiful too, just to walk around.
  13. CONGRATS!!!! Hope your trip was amazing and I can't wait to hear details and see pictures!
  14. I've also come across family members who say "It's your day, do what you want, BUT make sure you do this..." It can be so frustrating! Ultimately it's you and your fiance; easier said than done but don't lose track of what's most important to you. Be careful requesting opinions from people. Once you know what THEY want it makes it hard to go against it.
  15. Congrats on rolling with the punches and looking like a rockstar in the meantime! I think Mexico in December sounds lovely and now you have this to look forward to! You also have a few more months to put together any projects you had in mind but ran out of time to put together! Hope you're enjoying married life
  16. CONGRATS JAIME!!! Happy wedding day to you and your HUSBAND! Hope it was wonderful and I can't wait to hear all about it Now go and enjoy your wedding night! teehee
  17. Thanks for the advice, Jacilynda. I wouldn't trust a bank transfer for something like this. I wouldn't work with someone who doesn't accept paypal/credit card, just to play it safe. The Paloma Blanca was the first dress I tried on and fell in love with so I know I would be happy with it. I took my FMIL dress shopping and we picked out the San Patrick and I fell in love with that one too! Such hard decisions. I'd be temped to get both, but even as knock-offs it wouldn't be cheap to get both!! Or maybe it would? $600 (+shipping) to have 2 options, hmmm.... Still a lot of moolahh
  18. I'm still deciding between 2 styles... Paloma Blanca 3802- wedding dress (HS8145)-wedding dress, prom gown and bridesmaid dress by landy bridal and San Patrick- Binefar - San Patrick Wedding Dresses Style 8854 Wedding Dresses, Bridesmaid Gowns, Mother of the Bride Dresses, Flower Girl Dresses - the dress was listed as $299 for weeks and suddenly now it's $345, whaaat? ʱÃÂ×îȨÃþµÄʱÉÃÆ·ÅÆ·þÊÎ - (it's Duosheng) Should I be weirded out that the website is showing up in characters and not in English?

Start to finish, the whole thing will cost $159...for a TTD, that's not bad! Please share the info!!! Who is the ebay seller? Do they have a website? In other news, I'm so glad you went with the white dress. It's so beautiful and the colors will look perfect. Don't stress about the white/ivory combo, they'll look great together.
  20. Hi, I know this is covered somewhere but I could not find it in search... I've been talking up BDW to my engaged friends and I have a few that may want to join our forum. Was there a contest going on with who could refer the most people? What's the easiest way to do it? Thanks
  21. Oh Yolanda I'm so sorry you have to go through all this. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything will work out okay. xoxo
