  1. Desiree is closing up the gap... good luck girl!! (and congrats to josie too!)
  2. Goodluck B2Bs! Congrats on being nominated!
  3. Poor Cody, sorry to hear. Hope his gums/teeth recover and it doesn't break your bank. We try to brush our dog's teeth once in a while, definitely not as as often as Amarillis (my new role model!).
  4. Happy Birthday Jenny! Hope you're enjoying your celebration!
  5. My first dress shopping experience I went alone and I highly recommend it. I had 1-on-1 time with the lady helping me and it worked out perfectly. I found 1 dress that stood apart from the rest, but she didn't pressure me to buy it that day because she knew I wanted to bring back my mom to see it. It was fun, efficient, and low pressure.
  6. I'm anticipating that I must pack BUG spray or I will be very sorry. Bugs seem to flock to me. Would Riviera Maya brides agree that this is worth the space in the suitcase? Not sure how is the bug situation down there, ha
  7. would love to see a photo of the paloma blanca!
  8. Does Riu confirm with you in advance who your specific photographer will be? I know people have been happy with the local photographer they're using lately, and I wonder if you know if it will be him or not, before you get there.
  9. Lisa- any luck finding out more about the yacht: how many people it can hold, etc? I'm curious too. It sounds nice a nice getaway for the bridal party, perhaps after the ceremony or on the last day?
  10. I love all the jumping shots, the use of color/b&w, and the shots with the fish eye lens! great choice of photographer!
  11. Thanks, Des! I had no idea they had so many scuba options, etc. Sounds like fun. Are you planning on doing your hair/makeup/nails yourself? I'm picky too but I could never trust myself to do it all when the pressure's on!
  12. Reviving this thread from over a year ago. For those of you getting married in Riviera Maya, where are you spending your honeymoon?

I think it would be fun to do that the night before the wedding. I wonder what the cost to have booze and snacks would be.... WOW the yacht sounds so cool!! Did you find that information on the spa information sheet? If so, please send it my way, Desiree! [email protected]
  14. I think you made a great choice. It's perfect on you. This forum will keep you thinking about things, long after you thought you'd made a final decision!!
  15. It's impossible to please everyone, you have to do what YOU and your FI want and that's the bottom line. You can still make it special for your grandmother and grandpa: invite them to your legal day when you get married in the courthouse at home. Most people don't invite or tell anyone about it (to keep the focus on the dw) but it might mean a lot to them and to you if you invite them there.
  16. Desiree- don't worry about the bouquet, it seems like they always do such a great job with it. The dress is pretty! I see you're a "senior member" now, congrats! What does that mean?
  17. Wow Tammy your garden is impressive. I had never seen a mangosteen before, are you going to try to grow them? Sadly I don't have a green thumb... i somehow managed to kill chives!
  18. Ask the wedding coordinator at your resort if she'd lay them down before guests arrive. That seems reasonable!
  19. If you don't register, are you more likely to receive cash gifts or random gifts you can't return??
