    Hi everyone, I'm contemplating having a wedding veil or just doing a simple flower in my hair. My concern is that it might be somewhat windy on the beach and I don't want to have a veil just flapping in the wind all crazy, lol. Has anyone ran into this?

    I am having an AHR, nothing fancy at all believe me...it's going to be more of a party than a reception. No dressing up, appetizers only and we would provide beer for a certain time period...I'm estimating cost to be around $1000 for ours for food/drink/location

    I wasn't planning on working with a travel agent. I wanted to block around 15 -20 rooms but I didn't know if you needed to pay a deposit on ALL the rooms because jeez thats a lot of money, lol. I think i'll talk to my resort specifially and ask what their policies are. Any one else have to put a deposit down on there block and if so how much was it?

    I like the idea about a "community invitation" being put in a break room of sorts or design a nice email and send it to everyone. Being that it's a destiation wedding, most won't actually go

    Welcome, watch out for resorts "free weddings" sometimes in order to get your wedding package for free you have to stay in their super expensive suites

    Crazy question, but if you want to block hotel rooms for your guests but you're not sure how many are even coming yet, do you just over guess on the number? And then do you have to pay a deposit on every room you want in your block?

    Thank you everyone, I just got confirmation of the wedding date 01/08/2010 at the Bavaro Princess in Punta Cana and my sisters will be 01/09/2010 We figured it would be cheaper for our families if we did it at the same time vs having to travel to two different weddings, and my sister and I are like best friends.
