We are doing the same, one of our best friends will be conducting the ceremony in Cabo. My understanding is that because the wedding isn't legal, anyone can stand up and say a few words. We aren't even asking our friend to get the certification online. Hope that helps!

I know how you feel! I had asked a gf of mine to be a BM and she called me about a month later to let me know she is prgnant and due exactly one month before the wedding, we both cried at the thought of not being with each other on the big day! You have to rember though, and I had to remind myself, that this wedding is about you and your FI! Even though she won't be there to stand next to me, she will be there, standing next to me in life... I have made her a part of the daily wedding activities and kept her in the loop and she's helping me plan. We are both having fun with the parts that she is able to participate in and she's even coming to the bachelorette (but getting her own room ) I guess what I am saying is that there will be many momnets in life that they are able to share with you, and it's dissappointing you won't have them by your side on the big day, they will be thinking of you!!

Wedding Date: July 4th, 2010 What made you choose this date? Its a long weekend for most and we love July 4th. Even though it's an American holiday, I think we are going to buy some fireworks. Have you decided on your wedding colors? If so, what are they? Haven't decided... maybe teal/orange or violet/yellow. What is something unique about your wedding? Nothing yet! I have been to Cabo in March a few times and the weather is quite nice, however, every time I have been (in March) it's for Spring Break. Just something to think about if you are looking to do a nice reheral in Cabo San Lucas, it could be overrun with college students and may be a little more wild than what you are anticipating!

We are looking at Cabo Surf hotel! We love it there and most of our family members/friends have a long weekend for the 4th, we figure a long weekend will make it easier for people to travel. Does Cabo Surf specifically do anything like fireworks, etc.? We may just buy our own

Hi All! I am recently engaged and looking into Cabo for my wedding next year. My fiance and I both love the 4th of July and it happens to be a long weekend for most, so we think it could be perfect. Are there any other July Cabo brides out there? Can you tell me a little about the weather, I know it's usually hot, but is it unbareable? Also, pardon if this is a silly question, I know it's Mexico, but I also know there are a lot of Americans in Cabo, is there any sort of 4th of July type celebration that goes on?
