  1. I wanted to make a goody bag for each of my guests when they arrive for our cruise. I wanted to fill it with suntan lotion, chapstick, towels etc. I am sure tons of brides have done this and I would love to hear where you got the best deals. Also, I wouldn't mind getting more suggestions for fun necessities to include in my bag. Thanks!
  2. Thanks everyone! I had to put my deposit for this dress tomorrow if I am going to order. I think I am just going ot bite the bullet and do it! I was thinking that I could just take a bit of the fullness out of the botton- the girl at the dress shop I am going to buy it from said that they could do it without too much effort. Ok, thanks again- I think i am going to do it! I know that once I put the money down I will stop doubting myself!
  3. So I am totally in love with this dress and honestly didn't think I was ever going to worry about this- but do you think my dress is too formal? I of course am thinking if it on the light ivory - not the blue. Anyways, I am getting married here : www.lekliff.com in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The venue itself isn't necessarily beachy but it definitely isn't super formal. I am eager to hear other people's thoughts. The dress is Brigham - Blue by Enzoani. Here was the best pic I could find. Blue by Enzoani Bridal Gown Brigham [brigham] - $1,938.00 : Wedding Dresses, Prom Dresses, and Designer Wedding Dresses
  4. I have the same problem. One of my BM's are tall and thin, one is tall and heavy, and the third is short - almost 5" shorter so I couldn't possibly expect them to all look good in the same gown. I simply assigned each of them a color from Alfred Angelo or David's Bridal and told them they had to find a dress is that color or a very similar color and my only other requirement was that they each had to find a dress in chiffon. Because my wedding is more casual and beachy this is going to look great and the girls will be unified but allows them to be unique. As a several time BM - I think it's awesome being able to have some input into the dresses - as some girls may want something they can use for another purpose later!
  5. If anyone has real pictures of this dress on them I would LOVE to see them! I tried this dress on at the store over the weekend and I am in LOVE. It's lace- which was like my ultimate material choice, it only weight 7lbs!!!! Talk about light - I am getting married in October in PV so hot would be the word of the day. I am hunting online today for the best place to buy an authentic maggie dress - so if you happen to know of a site please let me know this as well! Here is the link for now : I want it without the bolero Mikala, Mikala Marie - by Maggie Sottero
  6. I am getting married at Le Kliff in October this year so I too am probably biased. So far, I have been exceptionally pleased with Carlos' and my wedding planner - Vallarta Weddings' communication time frames for me. I have never had a question go unanswered for more than just a day or so. Keep in mind that they are a restaurant - and they are NOT open in the mornings - so when they get your email it will be early evening time frame - so expect that there will be a 24 hour delay in emails being responded to. I know that anytime I have had a question my wedding planner was able to get in touch with Carlos within an hour and have an answer for me right away. Also, Carlos is just so nice I can't even say enough about him so far. A week before Christmas (naturally it would happen right when my checking account takes a giant hit from Christmas presents) another bride wanted to book on my day. Carlos called and let me know that I needed to make a deposit or he would let her have my day. He gave me the option first- many places wouldn't do that. He even offered to let me pay just a $250 deposit right then to hold my date and then pay the rest after Christmas. I thought that was above what he was required to do. I have never been to either place so I can't say from a view aspect which place is better - but everyone I have ever talked to says the best thing about Le Kliff is the view. I figured what better background to my photo's could I have other than the ocean? Good luck with picking your location! It's going to really come together after you get this done!
  7. Wow. These guys are great. I just sent them a message asking for pricing. I will share when I get it for PV.
  8. So sorry to hear that your wedding wasn't everything that you had ever dreamed of! Regardless I am sure it was stunning. Has anyone else worked with this company that can give a review? I have already hired them however that doesn't mean I won't look for someone else if the general consensus is that they are not on top of their game. This once specific weddings sounds like it was a very unique circumstance.
  9. I am getting married at Le Kliff in October 2009. I am looking to connect with anyone that has gotten here or is getting married here. I have TONS of questions about the facility as it doesn't look like I am going to be able to see it before the wedding. I have already booked here and I have a wedding coordinator- but I would like to see other people's photos' from their weddings etc. I am surprised that there was not a thread already about Le Kliff- if I missed it - sorry! Send me the link. Thanks!
  10. Hi Everyone! My name is Nicole. This is my first wedding forum I have joined so I am excited to getting around to reading as much as I can on the PV thread! I am getting married October 28th, 2009 at Le Kliff. I am using Vallarta Weddings as my WC. Eva has been great so far- lets hope she keeps it up! I have read a few things about them so far that have left me a bit discouraged. I have already made deposits with Le Kliff - so again- lets hope it all works out! My closest friends and family are joining my fiance John and I on a week long cruise where PV will be our first port. We are only there for the day so to say that it's going to probably stress me out might be a bit of an understatement. I am a bit more go with the flo than a lot of people so I hope I can keep my cool about any hiccups! I am still seeking the perfect dress - something formal but beachy, trendy but timeless. Ahhh, it's out there somewhere- just haven't found it yet. I have a billion ideas that flash through my little mind at every turn of the wheels and it all deals with weddings - I think my friends might be a bit sick of hearing about it already- and I still have 10 months to go! Looking forward to chatting with people and hearing about wedding plans and ideas!
