I highly recomment taking a Kaplan class. It helps a lot. I took my nursing boards 10 years ago, but it helped me.

Is it typical for the bride to give favors at the bridal shower or the host?

I am so excited we received 3 gifts alrady and not even had a shower yet. So far we received all 6 of our china sets, margarita glasses and everyday glasses. Just thought I'd share

Ok so my FI and I work together. Another co-worker is my bridesmaid. My MOH is planning on having a bridal shower for me, but I think it would be nice to have a shower at work as well. My question is should it be a couples shower since we work together? My bridesmaid that works with us is of course complaining to my MOH that I shouldn't even have a work shower. I don't understand why not. Many people have showers at work, and I have worked there for 10 years. There are a lot of work people coming to our wedding, but there are also some people who would like to come but work that weekend. (we work every other weekend) so naturally I was thinking a shower would include them, OR does it look like we are being greedy trying to get gifts. For more on the bridemaid story, I posted a vent a while back.

My FI is a doctor and I am a nurse. Any fun suggestions to go with that? He's not into sports at all

We are using him for our wedding in October. His sample ceremony was so beautiful, it brought us to tears.

I just recevied an e-mail for $15 for their spring tote with 7 full size products. It's available in stores only with a $40 purchase. Great gift for parents or bridesmaids. It was an e-mail so the link won't work.

Here's the deal, they have been "close" friends since high school. I am pretty sure she doesn't like me (and vise versa). However, I try to be nice since I know they were close. We invited her to the wedding, but she can't make it "can't afford it". Whatever, she's a lawyer! The trick is their other friend I like very much and would love to invite her. We ordered FI's from studiosuits.com Custom made linen suits for $99. It's a really decent suit for the price. We are happy with it!

My friend is a makeup artist and she said to get Estee Lauder double light foundation, its supposed to stay on in the heat. She said if you go and ask for a sample it's a pretty generous sample.

We sent out our save the dates in January with all of the booking information. We sent out our invitations a few weeks ago with a June 1st RSVp date. So far 24 people have booked, but mostly friends. Some of our family and bridal party have not even booked. All they need to do is put $150 deposit and the rest is due the end of August. So we will see. Our wedding isn't until October, but I also wanted to get numbers, so we can plan a rehearsal/ welcome dinner or not. Depending on the number of people.

The material is linen, but a little thicker. We also did the measurments ourselves. Waist was s little big (maybe we didn't measure properly), but we are ver ahppy with it. We are ordering pants for all the groomsmen. MarieSam- I beleive the have ivory, the colors are on the website.

FI finally asked his sister if her daughter would be our flower girl. Now my question is do we buy her dress or tell her what dress to buy? Our gifts to our bridal party is their attire, so I guess we should get her dress. What do you think?
