I am bumping this thread up. I was trying to wait until I have my 2nd dress in my hands, but my financial situation has taken a bad turn I would like to sell this asap. Any offers? -
Prepare yourself for the jealous people. Getting married seems to bring out the worst in people, unfortunately

Legal US Ceremony AFTER DW?
DarcyJAde replied to NYCBridetoBe1909's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos

That was my understanding anyway. Just my 2 cents to clear up any confusion. If you opted to have a LEGAL ceremony at your resort, then NO you do no need to "legalize" it in the U.S. It will be a legal marriage already. In some countries (like D.R. for example), it is a lot of paperwork and $$ to have a LEGAL ceremony. So in our case, we are having a SYMBOLIC ceremony (which is an actual ceremony and no one would even know it is not a legal ceremony). We plan to marry secretly in the U.s. BEFORE we go. That way we can celebrate a real honeymoon as well. HTH! -
I never heard back from this person. Forget it.

When did you know he was the one?

Anyways, I had ...don't laugh.... a pair of tickets to see Bon Jovi last year in Boston, Mass and the friend that was suposed to go backed out, etc. I had no one to go with. Jessie overheard and suggested that he invite himself and I kept saying... oh, well so and so may go, I'll let you know. I ended up calling him at the last minute(the day of) to go and he was the last person to ask. We went and I thought it would be awekward in the car for so long, but it wasn't. The show and Boston in general was great. While walking in the street of Boston he quietly went for it: held my hand. It felt so natural and from that day...exactly 1 year from today.... we have never been apart at all. Not one night. Actualy, I have to get off this computer soon because we're going back to Boston tonight for a dinner cruise on the harbor and the Tall Ships are there to see for our 1 year aniversary. In just a few weeks we will be married in Jamaica. I can't wait. As he said, I'm a girl version of him (but more girl "evil"lol than him) and I guess that's what he was looking for: to date himself! lol I am a BON JOVI nut! LOL!!! I love that your first date was at a BJ concert. They totally ROCK! -
I got my 2nd dress from the Watters trunk show. There was a 10 % discount. They had the fall 09 collection which hasn't hit the salons yet. I say GO! It was like a regular appointment with a representative of the designer there. They were not samples you could take with, I ordered mine. They even put a rush on it for me for no extra charge since it was my second dress and my wedding is in 3 months.

DarcyJAde replied to *HOLLY*'s topic in Share your Wedding & Engagement Stories!
When I first saw my FI at work (the new male resident on the floor) we work with ALL women and they were all talking about him before he started. I was like come on, no big deal! LOL! Then I talked to him for 5 minutes and fell in love. Of course, I was just being ridiculous, because I think he is super hot! We were offically in love about 6 weeks later, and that's when I knew he would be my husband someday. ( I even told my MOH- watch we are going to get married). 2 1/2 years later a Wa La! -

Although my FI has also said that he thinks it's completely unnecessary and roled his eyes at me, lol. HAHA! MEN!!! If I really want it I will get it

In a tough spot- do I fire a bridesmaid?
DarcyJAde replied to DarcyJAde's topic in Just venting or funnies
I just thought you guys would like to know that we are both at work today, for almost 4 hours now. I haven't really spoken to her (trying the ignoring thing), and it seems so is she. We haven't said 2 words to each other. I feel like this is so childish, but honestly I haven't been feeling up to another confrontation. The last one had me crying for several days... KLC77- Those words were from the last confrontation (which I thought was resolved) but it appears nothing has changed
