I'm sorry you are going thru this right now. Talk about stressful. Plus, trying to interpret the meaning behind what your FIs boss is saying is near impossible. A quick wedding doesn't necessarily mean an inexpensive one. Hang in there! I would just proceed with as much caution as you can. Best wishes, Jen

Thanks ladies! I hadn't thought about the mariachis using trumpets. I just pictured this loud trumpet on the beach and couldn't see how it would fit in. Great ideas for transporting it. I feel much better about it now. If there is a bigger issue at play here I believe it is throwing out the traditional wedding idea (the one with the church with reception following) and committing to do something different and a little unknown. But, I know I can ease his mind on that especially with all the helpful information found on this forum. Thanks again for your thoughts!

Do you think it would be weird at a beach wedding? Maybe I'm overreacting?
