Hey Ladies I too am a frugal bride. But we are actually just frugal ppl in general. We decided that we want to start our marriage with no wedding debt so we too are paying cash (well check card lol) for all items. We don't actually live together yet but I'm moving in with him in April to save $$. We're doing a cruise and then getting married in St Thomas. We have a great WC who's prices are awesome as compared to other's who's sites I've visited. I would like to get everyone's opinion on something. I too love Vista prints so what I was planning to do was send out a travel brochure that would serve as my wedding invite and save the date notice. I thought it was a cute a different idea but I'd be able to save $$ bc I would be able to send out the entire cruise price list as well as wedding events in one brochure. My bf (yea we have a wedding date set but are not engaged yet) and I are very laid back so we thought this would be a unique idea and not very fancy like the normal invitations. What do you all think?

Hey Ladies I'm new to BDW and I will be honest and say I only read a few pages of this thread. But I want to post then I'll go back to reading. My hair issue is that I have locs, and I have not idea what I'm gonna do ab my hair because we are going on an 8 day cruise and the wedding isn't until day 3 or 4. I'm thinking of having my loctician show one of my aunts how to style my hair the way I want it for the wedding, then just have her do it the morning of. This is because I plan to have fun the days before the wedding and I don't want my hair style to prohibit me... althou I won't be getting in the water til after the wedding lol.

Hey Ladies I am new but definitely interested in joining but I have to work on figuring out how to connect my camera to my computer. I rec'd it for my bday in august but still haven't learned. I'll work on this tonite. If I get it to work I'll send my $$ to Ann. This will really help me. I have 30lbs to lose. Quick question though... What are you ladies doing to lose the weight?? I don't want to start without a plan in mind.

Megan I looked at the scavenger hunt and it seems perfect for the wedding day but have you found one that can be used on the ship I'm thinking of making one specific to the ship. The Carnival freedom seems to have many statue of liberty heads used as decor so I may have (for example) take a pic of a statue of liberty head, take a pic of the supper club, cigar bar etc etc. This"ll help ppl get to learn the ship early on... What do you think I'm planning to have a get together cocktail party on embarkation day so the group can present their finds at this party!!!

Hi I am also cruising to my wedding destination. It seems that our cruises have a few of the same ports. Of all the islands u mentioned I've only been to St Thomas and I fell in love with it and will be married there 11.10.09. I agree that I didn't want to work with the cruise coordinators so I'm working with Janelle Scott of Island Bliss. She's located in St Thomas.

We are working with a private WC Janelle Scott and we hope that we can stay within our budget. We plan to have a cocktail party for the group on embarkation day. Hello Ladies I'm Ashley I'm getting married in St Thomas on 11/10/09. We will be traveling to St Thomas on the Carnival Freedom. I am member of Cruise Critic and I learned about BDW from CC so I'm so excited to mingle and learn from you ladies.
