Well We are having a religious ceremony and we are very involved in church so clearly it was mandatory for us. But I agree that it was a great experience. It really opened our eyes to things that we thought we knew or thought we agreed on. We actually started our counseling before we were even engaged just to make sure that we knew what we were getting into beforehand. We are even gonna participate in post counseling. I mean it's with our pastor who has a degree n psych and has been married for 30 year, what can it hurt you know. But you can always go outside of the church for counseling....

I think that's a great idea... Or maybe a GC to the spa at the resort or something would be nice too... I think I'm spending about $10-15 per OOT bag when it's all said and done (with bulk orders etc). But I think that making them is time consuming so going with the gc is a great idea.

D&E they have the veils on Etsy as well...

Melissa I love your wedding site, and I personally love that bride's style, but I def think that you can dress it up to your style... Are you using the same photographer that she used? I think his /her pics were awesome.

Welcome Mandie you'll def fit in here. Many of us are working with Janelle and getting married on Lindquist. I actually have a cruise wedding (well we are cruising to St thomas then havign the wedding on Lindquist) so i won't be getting my hair done or having and pre wedding events in st thomas we will be doing that on the ship. Well I am doing OOT Bags and I am planning to do favors as well, but I have no idea what I want to do. I was thinking hot sauces but i think ppl won't use them. I want it to either be something relevant to St Thomas or something ppl will use, any ideas ladies? I was also thinkin about christmas ornaments since the wedding is in Nov... I was watchin Platinum Weddings and the girl gave out like $330 crystal bowls from Tiffany's to all her guest from out of town and then she gave her BMs these like $1000 ornaments. Clearly mine would be much cheaper haha.

Hey date twin. I'm soo excited that I finally have you haha. Ok well i have alotta stuff done but thats bc I have a wc who basically does everything and I tend to micromanage her (soo not good lol). I'm still working on completing my OOT bags. I'm the only one with attire thus far. FI is so not into clothes so this is a big challenge. I'm letting him do what he wants. I really want him in off white linen (my gown is off white) and the gms in khaki colored linen pants and maybe off white or green shirts based on what my girls wear. We are going shopping for the ladies this weekend as my out of town bm will be home. My colors are orange and green but I think the girls will be wearing green watters gowns. Besides that I just have to -finish purchasing stuff for my tasting ceremony -figure out my favors- I need to email my wc and figure out something that's relevant to st thomas I was thinking the hot sauce from this place called glady's in st thomas but they don't have a website so i have to do some more research. -My guestbook- I'm think I want to do postcards that my wc will put in the mail after the wedding so we can receive them when we get home. It'll be fun to get diff ones everyday (unless they all come before we get home lol we'll be on an 8 day cruise) -centerpieces- don't wanna do flowers bc we can't take them back on the ship. Since we have a luncheon reception i was thinking maybe pictures of the married couple who inspire us (mainly ppl on the trip with us) with candles and star fist or something -programs and menus (which I'll prolly have ana do since she did an awesome job on my invites.)

Hey Ladies (Savannah thanx for the link lol) I just wanted to throw n my .02. I was looking at the cutest birdcage veil that has orange feathers on it. It's so opposite of what I wanted but I love love it so I'm glad to see that you ladies are interested in those types of veils as well.

I don't know ab you ladies but I think the time is creeping up on us.... I want a date twin :-( Well actually I have a date and wc twin on the CC forum lol, I so not happy ab that. I just made my lil sister my moh. At first I ddn't have one (I had 2 bms and one jr bm) bc i wanted one of my friends to be it but she lives in philly and isn't really taking initiative to come home and go gown shopping, or do anything else related to my wedding. But I'm not angry ab it. She's working 3 jobs to help pay to go to the wedding (as well as other things) so I'm not faulting her at all. I made it my sister my MOH and now everyone can wear diff gowns. Plus my sis is really helping me out (surprisingly). Don't think i was discounting my lil sis it's just that she just had a baby in Jan and she is in college full time so I didn't expect her to have time to be really involved but we're like bbf and she's really taking alotta initiative so she clearly deserves the title. Sorry for rambling...

Umm I'm not getting my hair done in St Thomas and I think we're going with Blue Glass althou I love Ashley Armitage (I think that's the name) but she's a bit pricey for us.

No No one's said anything ab the swine flu. Prolly bc we're not going to Mexico and the wedding is far away lol.

I've just completed my registry but I don't feel like I have enuf items could some post their site link I just want to check out what other ladies are putting on their list.
