Thanks, what do you think Janna? I think its a great idea!!! We are going to do the same...arrange when we get there but the email is awesome to get started!!! Yay marryinghimagain!!! Janna
  6. Thanks marryinghimagain!!! I agree with Mylene...so worth it so I think FI and I will upgrade. And since Mylene and I are staying 2 weeks....the idea of more space is perfect!! Thanks again. Can you send me the email too? Janna
  7. Mylene, I was wondering the same thing too!! We are staying for 2 weeks also and I was thinking that upgrading to the HM suite for the 2nd week would be a good idea and feel like a HM but am liking master suite idea....seems awesome! Did you have to pay for the upgrade? The jacuzzi tub outside seems pretty sweet!!! Janna

If anyone has questions or need me to find out info for them while I'm there next week, just let me know!!!! Thank you!!!! Janna

  10. Thanks "marryinghimagain" for the review!!! It has definitely helped me!! How many guests can fit in the gazebo for the reception? That has always been my 1st choice so its great to hear you loved it!! Congrats again, Janna

As for the quotes...I have the ones that I mentioned to you and have since (couple days ago) recieved quotes for the Azul resorts. I'm waiting to find out how there promotions will/ if any benefit us to have it with them? This is seriously taking longer than I would like...but I'm trying to stay positive and think it will only benefit me to not rush into it. Sounds like you have done some good OOT bag shopping...I posted on the other thread. Hope your all having a great week! I got my dress at S2 also!! Janna
  12. Dreams Puerto Aventuras (Puerto Aventuras, Mexico) - Resort Reviews - TripAdvisor This is the link I just used... Janna
  13. Hi all- Went on Trip Advisor and typed in Dream PA and it was the newest post. I think it mentions "wedding" in the title of the post. Janna

Dreams Puerto Aventuras 360 views This is awesome!! Thanks Mom!!

I like the idea because it's private and you are both stilll just as excited to see each other. plus I figure my FI won't be as sweaty... poor guy is going to melt in his wedding outfit. I love the "preview" idea!!! That's great. And I agree....Chris, myself and my guests won't be as sweaty!!! Janna

I just had some relief from finding and buying my dress, and now I'm debating getting a second dress if I can find one I really like at a cheap price. We're doing a symbolic wedding (although our guests don't know that yet!) and had originally planned to do the legal part when we got back. I just don't want to 'ruin' FI's surprise of seeing me in my wedding dress before our ceremony. Agghh! What to do!??! Omg.....I felt the same way and still kinda do!!! Wanting to Chris to see me for the 1st time as I walk towards him....but I know he will be thrilled no matter if its at 3 or 5. I am going to wear the same dress b/c I had the worst time finding one I even liked and then of course the one i kinda liked was $$$!!! So I don't really have a choice. I have always wanted a dusk/evening wedding so here's hoping it goes ok!! Janna Ps. We are doing the symbolic too and the legal before we go but we aren't telling....

I would much rather have my ceremony at 5 instead but i want my pictures to be in the sun! Thanks a million! I am having my ceremony at 5 and having pics ahead of time. My pal here in calgary is a pho-tog and said the afternoon sun around 4 is a beautiful time to have pics....I wanted a dusk wedding so had to have our pics before. Janna

That might be the case with yours. Cant wait to see how they turn out. I took Becky's template and made mine like hers but then I added an embossed palm tree and embossed outter envelope. Very much the same as hers though. Thanks to Becky hehe. Dee- Did she say what the extra decorations we could sub in were? I don't think we are going the video route. It comes with the Ultimate package but I think we are going to try and change it. Janna

A private dinner will be $25.00/pp and can be held in the gazebo or on the beach. The cake cutting and toast can be held after the ceremony or at the private dinner. Guests can just go to one of the bars for an informal cocktail hour while pics are being taken. Then back to either gazebo or beach for the private dinner. An extra bouquet for bridesmaid is $45.00, an extra bout is $20.00. As for music.... there is electricity in the gazebo that we can use free of extra charge. She said many brides bring their own Ipod and speakers. To use their sound system equipment is extra charge (as we all knew). We can add whatever photo package we would like. I can bring whatever decorations I would like and they will put them up with no additional charge. She was very helpful. I feel much less stressed about it now. She said all these things can be handled once we arrive and everything can be as I want it. She gave me the minister's email addy so I can talk directly to him with any concerns. I know feel like I have a plan! YAY! Yay!!! I'm glad she emailed back. I am leaning towards having our dinner in the gazebo and bringing an ipod. Might be a way to hush the mom-in-law about the wind factor!!! Janna
  20. I just looked at your pics again Ginalynl....so stunning. Another gal on here had her reception right by the gazebo or in the gazebo and I am worried about the wind.....the lagoon looks perfect.
  21. I think I want my reception by the lagoon also. I am worried on the beach will be too windy for folks....
  22. Ginalynl- Thanks for staying so active on the forum...I will need you in Feb for sure!! Did you have your reception outside? So sorry, I can't remember. Janna
  23. Hey Dee! So far 11 including us. Our invites went out this week so hopefully there will be more...I want to have a party!!! We went with the Ultimate package. The photo are the next big thing after the dress I agree! I was worried about that but like Ginalynl posted, I saw RoryS's neice's pics and they were good. I bought the "real simple" wedding planner 2009 and it has a whole page on what pics to ask for in sections. When the bride is getting ready, wedding party etc so I am going to photocopy that and give it to the Jacy and the pho-tog before so they know what pics I really want. I am so excited we will be there at the same time!!! Janna
